“Ha Eun-ah this will be your new home.” Hyoyeon said as she held the little girl in her arms. She watched her as she wandered her eyes to her new surroundings.

“And soon enough appa will be living with you.” added Eunhyuk as he earned a glare from Hyoyeon as if saying ‘what are you blabbering about?’

“What?” Eunhyuk asked as he felt like he had done something wrong.

“What do you mean by appa will be living with you? Who said you’re her appa?”

“Yah! Don’t I count to be her appa after all I AM your boyfriend.” he said as he placed the shopping bags on the floor.

They had gone to the mall to buy things for Ha Eun as soon as Hyoyeon was allowed to take her with her. Today would be the official day that Ha Eun is Hyoyeon’s legal daughter. It took her a while to finish all the papers required and now that it was done she was more than happy to be with Ha Eun.

Eunhyuk and Hyoyeon helped each other in arranging Ha Eun’s room and in taking care of her. They took turns in doing the things needed to be done specifically arranging Ha Eun’s room while the other was watching the precious child.

The sun had already set when they were done. Ha Eun was fast asleep in her new room. She comfortably lay on her bed with soft pillows and stuffed animals surrounding her, making a border for her not to fall off the edge. Hyoyeon the lamp and slightly closed the door, leaving a small gap for the light from the living room to enter.

She sat beside Eunhyuk and rested her head on his shoulders. They were both exhausted with the work they had done for the day. She never thought that having a child could be exhausting but nonetheless her tiredness would be swept away once she sees her smile.

“Thanks.” she said as she closed her eyes. Eunhyuk looked at her and he saw that she was tired.

“Go get some rest. I’ll leave now.” he was about to stand up but she held onto his wrist and that made him stay in his place.

“What you said earlier? Are you willing to be her appa?” she asked as she looked at him. She had to admit that she thinks that it would be too fast if he really was planning on proposing to her.

“Of course but I won’t rush things.” he said as if he knew what she was thinking. He smiled at her before continuing “I’ll wait for you ‘till you’re ready.”

Hyoyeon felt happy, never had she felt someone show her so much love. She was deprived of that when she was young. It didn’t mean that nobody loved her in the orphanage but it was a different feeling when you know that there was this person caring for you and is always beside you. She was happy to have Eunhyuk in her life and Ha Eun added to that. “Thanks.” she said as she looked into his eyes.

They started at each other for a couple of minutes that they didn’t notice that the distance between them was slowly fading. They were only a few centimeters away and they could feel each other’s breath. Their lips were about to meet when they heard a cry and Hyoyeon immediately stood up leaving Eunhyuk, losing his balance in the process as his lips met the pillow. He then stood up and followed Hyoyeon.

“When did you get back unnie?” Seohyun asked as she gave a warm hug to the said girl. The group was there except for Eunhyuk, Hyoyeon and Doojoon. Apparently they were not informed as they could not be reached.

She gave her friends a smile as she looked at each and one of them and she noticed that they were not complete.

“Unnie you’re by yourself?” Seohyun added, she was expecting to see someone with her. The girl gave her a halfhearted smile. She didn’t bother to ask again as she saw her expression. She decided to wait for her to tell them everything.

“Bwoh?!” they all said in unison. The news they had heard gave them a shock.

“Why would you do something like that?” Seohyun asked with an accusing tone.

“Calm down Seo don’t be so harsh on her.” Taeyeon said as she pulled the girl back to her seat.

“Just because the child reminded you of him you don’t have the right to just abandon the poor child. I can’t believe you would do something so irresponsible. What if someone adopted your child? What would you do? You can’t just barge into their lives and tell them you can back for your baby.” she then walked out from her friends. Seohyun was the most affected with the news she just heard. Well out of all of them she was always the affected one even if it didn’t have to do anything with her.

“Gyuri don’t listen to what she said. I’m sure she didn’t mean all of it. You know her, she’s easily affected with sensitive topics.” Shindong comforted their friend.

Gyuri thought of what Seohyun said, of course she knew the consequences of what would happen when she left her child but what could she do? It was already done and she can’t turn back time.

“I’ll call you guys again.” she said as she stood up and left. Her friends just looked at her leaving figure with concerned eyes. Once she was gone they glanced at each other.

“Should we tell them?” Sunny asked as she looked at her circle of friends. They knew very well who she was talking about. They didn’t know whether it would be good news or bad news for them.

“Hyung, you tell them.” Kyuhyun said as he looked at the eldest. He sighed as all eyes were now fixed on him. He took out his phone and dialed a number and anticipated the answer from the other line. He swallowed the lump in his throat once someone had answered.

Junghye had lost all hope in finding her daughter. They had almost searched the orphanage that was within their vicinity but none of them could tell her where her daughter was.

“Don’t worry.” Doojoon comforted her. He felt sad seeing her like that. He left her so she could have time for herself.

He had gone out and just followed where his foot was taking him. All the searching made him realize that he was drifting away from his friends most especially to Hyoyeon. He stopped on his racks when he saw the familiar gates. He went in and saw that the lights were still on meaning they were still awake.

He heard footsteps and so he hid behind the bushes, he didn’t know why he did that in the first place but he was glad he did when he saw Gyuri talking with one of the nuns. He couldn’t hear their conversation as they were in front of the door far away from where he was. He watched as he saw Gyuri bow down and left. *What was she doing here? And when did she get back?* he thought as he made sure that she was completely gone.

"Really?" he asked the nun once again with wide eyes. He couldn't explain his feelings right now. He was sure to tell the news to them once he gets back. He could not believe what he heard from the nun.

“Where are we going and why do I have to wear a dress?” Hyoyeon asked.

“Just go get dressed and I’ll dress up Ha Eun.”

She just did what she was told as she realized that she won’t be getting any answers from him.

They made their way to a restaurant and Hyoyeon realized that all their friends were there and even Doojoon and Eunhyuk’s parents.

*What is going on?* she thought as she felt like it was a sudden reunion. Everyone was present and they were all smiling.
