A few months had passed and Hyoyeon and Eunhyuk seemed to be getting closer than ever. Hyoyeon got to know some of Eunhyuk’s friends and she eventually became close to Seohyun, their maknae. She also became closer to Doojoon and his friends. She easily became close with Yoseob since he was the talkative one and easy to approach.

She got to know Doojoon more, she found out that Doojoon has a stepmom since his mom died after giving birth to him. He grew up with his dad and his dad eventually found someone and remarried. But he didn’t have the typical witch or wicked stepmom. His stepmom treated him like her real son and so he treated her like her real mom though they weren’t always home.

“Unnie want to go here?” Seohyun asked who was on the other line.

“Where?” asked Hyoyeon who was busy getting ready for work.

“We’re here at the mall just hanging out.”

“I’d love to but I can’t. I have work remember?”

“Can you not go today? Even just for once?” she pleaded.

“Yah! What are you up to?” Hyoyeon asked she felt something weird. Seohyun was not the type of person who would call and ask her to hang out at the mall. The Seohyun she knows would ask her to accompany her to a recital or play and other things that Hyoyeon finds boring.

“Nothing bye now.” she said as she hang up.

Hyoyeon got curious but she shrugged it off because she’s already late for work.

“Just a few more months and I have enough money and I can go look for a new job.” Hyoyeon thought as she was cleaning the table.

She did her daily routine at work, taking orders, cleaning the table and greeting customers. It was already around 5 and she was about to get off work when her manager asked her to work overtime since the person after her shift was gonna be late. She had no choice so she just agreed.

A group of guys came in and were talking loud enough to get other people’s attention. Her co-worker assisted them and she was the one tasked to get their order. She approached them, she was shocked and the guys’ mouths were wide open. She giggled at their reaction and she snapped them back to reality.

“Noona you work here?!” Yoseob said a little bit too loud for the people near their table to look at them.

Doojoon pulled Yoseob to sit down and told him to be quiet.

“May I take your order now?” she asked as she tried to contain in her laughter. She can’t laugh and can’t chat with them since it was still her shift.

One by one they gave their orders and she said that she’ll be back in a short while with their food.

After a while she got back with their orders and left them. Little did she know while she was working through the corner of his eye, he was carefully watching her every move.

After some time the person with the shift arrived and took over. It was time for Hyoyeon to go home. She headed to the back door where their lockers were placed. After she got changed she headed out.

Beast, as what Doojoon and his friends call their group, were already done eating and asked for the bill. Doojoon noticed that Hyoyeon was gone. When a different waiter came they were kind of disappointed they wanted to see her.

“Guess her shift was over.” said Yoseob as they all made their way out after paying.

They saw a familiar figure walking just a few meters ahead of them.

“NOONA~!” Yoseob shouted.

Hyoyeon looked back only to see six guys approaching her.

“Annyeonghasaeyo BEAST-imnida.” they all greeted in unison.

Hyoyeon chuckled at their greeting. “What are you guys doing here?”

“We’re on our way home when we saw you.” Junhyung answered.

“How come you didn’t tell us that you were working there?” asked Gikwang as he pouted.

“Why should I tell you guys?” she asked as she raised a brow.

“We’ve known each other for a while now but we still didn’t know where you were working until now.” Dongwoon said.

“Well now you know.” she said as she smiled.

“Want us to take you home?” asked Doojoon.

“Ani thanks but I’ll still meet a friend of mine.”

“Then I’ll take you there.” Doojoon insisted.

“Then we’ll go ahead.” said Hyunseung and the five boys left.

“You know you didn’t have too.” Hyoyeon started as they were now on their way to the mall.

“I just want too.” he flashed a smile.

“So have you heard any news about her?”

“Nothing yet, I tried to contact her relatives abroad but they said she haven’t contacted them either.” he sighed.

“Maybe you should just let her be. I’m sure she’s going to come back. She just needs time.”

“I guess you’re right.”

The past few months Doojoon tried looking for his bestfriend but he just can’t and so after his talk with Hyoyeon he decided to let her be and wait for her to just contact them.
