a/n: I'm still currently working on the next chapter please bear with me... I'm so sorry if its taking me too long to update...

For the past months Doojoon did his best to just ignore Ms. Junghye but his attempt didn’t work. Since his dad was back he was the one handling their company once again and so he wasn’t that busy any longer. His mom never stopped convincing him to get to know her. Mrs. Yoon actually became really close with Junghye, she felt relieved that the latter has no intention on getting back with his husband and she assured her that his husband loves his family dearly. She said that once they find her daughter they would immediately leave and never bother them again.

Doojoon was eating lunch with Junghye and they were just quiet.

“I know you don’t like me.” she started and that made Doojoon drop his utensils and look at her. Seeing that he did not respond she decided to continue what she has to say. “But please don’t be like that to your stepsister. You can hate me and treat me badly but please don’t be like that to her once we find her. I don’t know what life she had been through, I don’t know if someone had adopted her and if she had a good family so I hope you can make her feel welcome.”

“If you’re worried like that why did you even leave her?” this was the first time that Doojoon had said something to her because whenever she would greet him he would just ignore her. His words were harsh but she knew he had a point.

“I’m not rich and my parents died early. I couldn’t afford to let her eat three meals a day so I decided to leave her in an orphanage. I said to myself that once I have saved enough I would go back for her and when I was finally able to have enough money she was no longer in the orphanage they said that the children there were transferred and they didn’t know where to.”

“So you stopped looking for her?”

Junghye shook her head. “I never stopped and I’ve almost searched all the orphanages near our place but she was not there. I’ve been to a lot of orphanages but she was nowhere to be found. Then your dad found me, I actually didn’t want him to know since I know that he already has a family of his own but he insisted and told me that he talked it over with you. I just want to let you know that once we find her we’ll be leaving so don’t worry.”

Hearing those words from her Doojoon felt a little relieved but not totally.

“Let me tell you this, your dad loves you and I can see that. We won’t be taking him away from you believe me.  We were able to live without him and we can still do that.”

Doojoon suddenly felt a rush of guilt hit him. Junghye wasn’t really a bad person like what he thought she was. His mom had been telling him the truth, and for some reason he finds himself softening towards her, which made Junghye happy that he was somehow at ease with her already.

It didn’t take long and Doojoon became close with Junghye as well and he had gotten to know her better. For some reason she somehow reminds him of someone but he just couldn’t point who. He then decided to help Junghye look for her daughter.

It was yet another day for them to visit an orphanage this time they went to the orphanage where Ha Eun was staying. Doojoon let Junghye ask details if they knew her daughter while Doojoon looked for Ha Eun.

“Any luck?” he asked as soon as he saw her walk out the door. Junghye shook her head in dismay, this was the third one they went to for the day. She saw him holding a beautiful child.

“Who is she?” she asked as she opened her arms and took the child.

“She’s Ha Eun a friend of mine will be adopting her soon. She’s already 2 years old. I think she’ll be turning three soon.”

“I see she’s a pretty little girl, she somehow reminds me of my daughter.” she said as she remembered her daughter’s face when she was still just the same age as Ha Eun.

“Would you like to meet that friend of mine? I’m sure she’ll be coming soon.” he said as he looked at his watch. He knew that Hyoyeon would always go there after her work; she would never let the day pass without her visiting. For her the orphanage was her first home.

Junghye played with Ha Eun and Doojoon played with the other children while they were waiting for Hyoyeon to come back.

The head nun came to check on the children and was surprised to see a familiar face. She hasn’t seen him for a while now.

“Doojoon-sshi it’s nice to see you here.” she greeted as the mentioned bowed in respect. He then introduced Junghye to her and she found her familiar.

“Aren’t you the sister I had left my daughter with?” she asked with wide eyes. After hearing that Doojoon looked back and forth at them. Junghye's hope suddenly rose, there's a big possibility that she might find her daughter now.

“Yes I am but I’m afraid she’s no longer here.” hearing that Junghye’s face fell but before she could utter another word a cheerful voice had distracted them.

“Oh! I’m sorry was I interrupting anything?” she asked as she saw that all eyes were on her.

“Not really.” answered the head nun with a smile.

Hyoyeon was happily playing with Ha Eun and Junghye was with her and they seem to be comfortable with each other. On the other hand Doojoon and Eunhyuk were talking among themselves and taking glances at the three once in a while.

“I hope she finds her daughter soon.” Doojoon said as he looked at Junghye with empathy. “I’m sure she misses her daughter, it’s just been recently that I got to fully understand how she feels.”

“What did sister say anyway?”

“She said that her daughter was no longer here and that she couldn’t give her any details about her.”

“Maybe we can ask Hyo, I mean she grew up in this place right?”

Doojoon almost forgot that Hyoyeon also stayed in the orphanage. He mentally face palmed himself when Eunhyuk had mentioned that.

“So Hyoyeon-sshi why did you decide to adopt Ha Eun?” Junghye asked as she continued to make funny faces for the said girl.

“I want her to grow up knowing she has a mother. I guess when I saw her I saw myself when I was young. I don’t want her to feel what I felt.”

“You mean you also grew up in the orphanage?”

“Yes, in this very place. This place has been my home that’s why I always visit. I learned to walk and talk here.” she answered as she reminisced the times she was still at the place.

“You didn’t look for your parents?”

She shook her head. “Why would I bother? They left me, meaning they don’t want me. I’m happy where I am now.”

Junghye then thought that her daughter my think that way too. “I hope my daughter doesn’t think that way. I didn’t mean to leave her behind but for that moment she won’t survive with me so I left her in an orphanage. I came back for her but they weren’t there anymore, apparently the children there had been transferred to another place.”

“omo sorry I didn’t know. Well maybe if you tell her that she would understand. As for me whatever the reason is I don’t care anymore. I’ll make Ha Eun feel more loved than ever. I’ll show her what my parents had lacked.”

“I can see that Ha Eun is very lucky to have you.” Hyoyeon smiled in return.

“Thanks for driving me home.” Hyoyeon said as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

“By the way do you by any chance know anyone in the orphanage that may be Ms. Junghye’s daughter?” he asked as he too unbuckled his seatbelt.

“I don’t know since I was still also a baby when she left her daughter.”

“Well then I’ll see you tomorrow.” he said as he flashed a smile.

“Yeah good night and drive safely.” she answered back as she opened the door but Eunhyuk grabbed her hand.

“What is it?”

Eunhyuk pointed at his cheek. “You forgot my good night kiss.” then he pouted.

Hyoyeon giggled at his cuteness and she couldn’t resist him so she gave in. She lightly pecked him on the cheeks and she saw that he was gleaming.
