A few weeks had passed and Hyoyeon hasn’t heard from Doojoon nor Eunhyuk. One day it was her day off and she just decided to stay at home. She was actually too lazy to go out but then her phone rang. She was happy to receive a call from the orphanage. They talked for almost thirty minutes. She ended the call and then she took a bath. She just wore a plain shirt with matching jeans and closed shoes. She then headed out making her way to the orphanage. When she arrived the nuns and the children she knew were happy to see her. After the day she left this was the first time she visited. She happily played with the kids and even read them stories. She also talked to the nuns and she learned that the orphanage can’t manage to support all the children since they were increasing. Luckily a rich family helped them, Hyoyeon was happy and she also said that she will give to the orphanage and when she has free time she said that she would visit and help there. The nuns refused but she insisted so they didn’t argue anymore. After lunch the children had to sleep and so Hyoyeon decided to walk around the place and she can’t help but reminisce the times she was there. She stayed there until dinner.

“Oh Hyoyeonie~ dear the son of the person who is supporting this orphanage is going to visit, you can meet him.” said one of the nuns while they were making their way to the dining hall.

“Sure I’d like to extend my gratitude.”

They were at the dining hall and Hyoyeon was shocked to see a familiar person.

“YO!” said the guy to the kids.

“You’re family is the one supporting the orphanage?” she asked as soon as she had a glimpse of the person.

The guy turned around “Neh but why are you here?” he asked.

“Well I grew up here.”

“Jinja? I didn’t know that.” he said.

“You two know each other?” asked the nun.

“We’re just acquaintances.” Hyoyeon answered.

“So you still don’t consider me as a friend after I told you my story.” he pretended to be hurt.

“Arasso he’s my friend.” she said.

“Oh I haven’t introduced myself. I’m Lee Hyukjae but please call me Eunhyuk.” he said as he bowed a 90 degree bow.

After his introduction the nuns and the children warmly welcomed him. When they were done having dinner he played with the children until it was time for them to sleep. Hyoyeon saw another side of him. She didn’t know why but a smile formed on her lips. The nuns once again thanked him and he said that it was nothing and that they should be the one thanking them since they were raising the children. He bid goodbye as well as Hyoyeon, he actually offered her a ride home. She declined but the nuns insisted since it was already late.

“I never knew that you grew up in the orphanage. I thought you just ran away from home.” he truthfully said.

Hyoyeon laughed. “Well I hope that was my case.” she said.

“How did you know about the orphanage?”

“Well my parents already did a lot of charity works and had helped a lot of people. I guess you can say that they want to help a lot of people especially children that they would look for orphanages and the like to help.”

“Wow you’re parents are such good persons. You’re lucky to have them.”

“I really am and I’m really thankful. How about you don’t you want to know who your parents are?”

“Nah they abandoned me so why would I look for them. They probably forgot I even existed.”

“Well I can’t blame you if you think that way but you should also consider the reason why they did that.”

Hyoyeon looked at him. Eunhyuk saw it through his peripheral vision.

“Don’t stare at me I might melt.” he joked.

Hyoyeon scoffed. “You wish. The only reason I can conclude is that they don’t want me. My mom had me but she wasn’t married to my dad.”

“She still must have a reason for leaving you behind. Let’s not talk about it anymore.” he said. He sensed that Hyoyeon doesn’t want to talk about it.

They were quiet for a few minutes.

“Thanks for helping the orphanage.” she started. “That place is really important to me and the people there too.”

“Well we’re happy we could help.” he said.

“I can see you like children, you seem to be happy around them earlier.” he said.

“It’s because they were fun to be with. And they were all cute.” he could not believe he just said that.

Hyoyeon couldn’t hold in her laughter so she ended up laughing so hard. She could not believe that a guy such as him that looks tough on the outside can be cute as well.

“Yah! Why are you laughing?” he said.

“Nothing I just find you cute.” she said as she continued to laugh.
