Youngest of Pieces: NEW ME (11)

Early Wednesday morning was spent dying my hair in a fresh chestnut brown hair, just the roots though it was a week since I last dyed it, and then after drying my hair I had Mi Young spend about an hour putting in tape-in hair extensions to get my hair down to my waist – not as long as Emelia’s just almost – and after that we headed to the arena for the day’s rehearsals and preparations for Mnet Asian Music Awards. During the day I had my hair in a braid to keep it in control, Iggy Azalea is with us for the rehearsals and the whole day feels awkward talking in English and being friendly and polite with people. Girls Generation’s Tiffany is there to make our day, she is bright and talkative and the only artist there beside from my own team that I can just walk up and talk to – she is always a favourite to hang out with. The whole day is just preparing and preparing for the evening. Double check everything, no; check it a third time too. Everything has to go well. Clothes, hair and makeup, shoes and scripts, people greet each other and when passing dressing-rooms you can hear people singing and practicing for their performances. For the last hour everyone is looking like idols and artists, dressed up and ready for the red carpet. We look classic – classic in red. My hair is in curls, I love the length to it, and all five of us are in gorgeous red pumps and a knee-long red fitting dress suited for each member. With short sleeves or ¾-sleeves; v-neck, scoop neck, jewel neck and so on. We look classic in these red outfits, our hair are classically styled too, and our makeup is the same. It is all a concept from the start of the year, the classic theme. In red lips we all pull it off in our different ways, in the same style we still look different. “Perfect,” Yong Hyun comment when looking at the five red ladies heading to the van. “It’s freezing outside though,” Julia comments, hugging the jacket around her that we are not allowed to wear later on the carpet. “If we move around a lot, we won’t be cold,” Maria comments while she has a blanket around her legs and a cardigan underneath the jacket. I have a blanket wrapped around me too for the chilly evening air. Maria tries on some poses to show off on the carpet later and Yong Hyun gives his thumbs up before sending us off in the van. “What are we doing?” Carolina taps Maria on the arm. “We’re going to the carpet, duh,” Maria rolls her eyes. “No, what are we going to do on the carpet,” Carolina explains. “Look flawless, what else?” Maria is playing with Carolina, she is doing it all on purpose and she laughs when seeing Carolina’s expression fade a bit; “We talked about it before, did we not? What did we agree on?” “Hands and expressions,” Emelia shortly answers. “Right!” Maria claps her hands together once. I smile as the excitement of each one of us fills the van, we feel pretty and with determination we will in some way be flawless on the red carpet. I mean, our look is flawless, and that’s enough for most people – I feel happy and pretty, because 5 Pieces makes me happy. The van pulls up to kick off the start of the evening; the red carpet. One by one we get out, and I am smiling when I step up to the fans on the side. All of us have agreed on being relaxed today, to just smile and enjoy it instead of doing what we’re told and being stiff by the script. The fans go crazy on the other side of the red carpet when seeing us shaking hands with the ones holding their hands out, everyone is looking so excited and each face I meet makes the smile in my face stay. We walk forward slowly to take time touching as many hands as possible and response to as many “we love you” as possible too, all until a staff shows his arm for us to walk. I take a light hold of Julia’s arm for us to go with the rest of our group, she is turning away to wave to the fans before she walks next to me with focus on putting her high heeled feet correctly. All five of us walk in the shot for the camera filming live for the Red Carpet Event, how we walk up to take pictures for this event and pose the way we practiced an hour ago to look our best for the cameras. It’s fun and silly, and I’m trying to not laugh over my smile. We are playing with the red concept we are wearing for the carpet, the whole outfit where we can be playful and feminine and give everyone a big smile on their faces. It’s boring to just stand there and look right to left and straight and right; after some events it all seems to be the same and two days ago we did that. But MAMA is something we are familiar with, we play at the MAMA Awards, that’s why we now can pair up and hold hands and give charming expressions to the cameras. We have fun, without hesitation. My favourite pose is when we send kisses and hold our arms around each other, hearing the red carpet hosts calling out that we are having a photo shoot. Just to be clear; I don’t send kisses but I put my arms around Emelia and Carolina and laugh as Maria, Carolina and Julia all three sends kisses to the cameras in their own way. The Red Carpet doesn’t end there. We are interviewed by Moon Heejun and of course a female host who I can’t remember the name of. “You look so beautiful,” the female host says in a way that makes me think she means it. “5 Pieces is one of the favourite artists of the night and I must admit, I do look forward to your performance. Can you give us a hint of what you have prepared?” Moon Heejun asks us as soon as we have taken our positions between the two hosts. The interviews are short and fast, so when he holds out his microphone to Maria, she is easily answering; “As a hint I can say we will be having a lot of fun, and that it will be 5 Pieces’ style. I can’t say more than that.” “Oh, the playful Maria,” Heejun looks like he wants to shake her up to let her spill, though he was watching our rehearsal today. “5 Pieces’ style varies like the seasons,” the female host happily comments and adds; “Can we expect to see 5 Pieces’ popular Girls Power tonight?” “There will always be girls’ power,” Julia answers on our right side. I am never the one answering questions at places like this, and I’m happy I have my members to lean on. Maria talks about what we’re wearing, other than that we don’t really say much and soon we are allowed to go inside. 5 Pieces is one of the last artists to arrive on the red carpet so when going inside we do some brief interviews and head straight to the arena to take our seats – surrounded by people and to the worst of it; MAMA has already started. It’s the awkward part of the evening: sitting among other idols surrounded by cameras and fans, and when first arriving the fans are screaming though the show is airing about today’s guests and they are only screaming towards where we are walking up to take our seats and the idols are standing up to bow at us. I take my seat, feeling awkward with my members, a blanket put over my legs like the polite Asians do when a girl is wearing a skirt or dress, and I look around at the arena that is crowded with people. Like always after rehearsing for an empty arena to then see it crowded, it makes the place feel warmer and more welcoming, more familiar. “Friend,” a dark voice greets us, but I was so focused on our surrounding that the voice so close gives me a slight fright. Turning around I can see and hear Maria chuckling next to me as well as a smirking Kai leaning forward from the seat behind us where EXO are sitting in their black suits. “I get this feeling in my arm to punch you, Jongin, whenever you say that,” Maria tells him and I can see how he is just smiling. “This whole friendly base you two got going on – maybe we will have to talk to Taemin about it.” “Typical,” I smile. Maria always pretends to have this protective overlook in the friendship the members have, questioning everything with everyone, and I know she gets jumpy each time Kai drops the polite speak to talk to me like a friend. Sure, Taemin is the one to blame for it, wanting his two friends to be friends. “Hey,” Kai says and touches my arm to get my attention. He is surprisingly calm over Maria’s words – maybe he is used to them. “I volunteer for your performance later, just so you know.” I tilt my head to give him a confused frown. What about my performance later? I think of when I will be performing with Carolina and Iggy Azalea, but I have no idea at all what he could mean. Maria, on the other hand, laughs and taps my leg. “[You Thought Wrong of Me],” she says. My jaw drops as I look at Maria, the lamp above my head is bright as I know what they mean and I look at Kai. “No, you’re not.” He smiles widely, laughing a bit. “Let the boy look hot with us,” Maria lightly says and Kai is smiling at us both. “Besides, I am not letting you bail on us at the crucial moment.” “Who said anything about-?” Maria waves her hand to interrupt me. “You think I’m stupid, baby? You were too transparent during rehearsal and wanted to avoid the topic at all matters. So I let Emelia ask pretty boy here to help us out. It’s him, or you will take G-Dragon for me.” Maria is impossible, and before I can give an upset answer we have Emelia telling us to be quiet as Song Seung Heon the host is walking up on the main stage to open up the show, officially. Emelia’s favourite star of the night – Korea’s top actor. I sit correctly in my seat, frowning as I imagine us performing and Kai has the role of the guy I step up to. I know exactly why Maria asked him out of all people: there is no one else I’m close to among the idols here today. It means I don’t really know anyone here today, because I personally just find the friendship between me and Kai a bit awkward at times. “Are you okay with that?” Kai is leaning forward to ask me the question I should ask him, and I give him a tiny little glare that just makes him flash me a smile. Kai is probably the most handsome boy I have ever seen, he just can’t look bad. “I’m not talking about it,” I mutter in response, glancing at Maria who is smiling. She is listening to us while her focus is on the stage. He doesn’t say anything more so I think Kai has sat back in his seat and I try to put my focus on the stage as well. My whole plan has been to avoid stepping up to a male idol during the performance, to not be embarrassed or awkward and mostly because I had imagined Jonghyun to have that place. I’m silly for not wanting to do it, but I think my plan will look better on the camera, and quietly I will stick to that. The first award for the night is Best New Artist, and I think everyone there knows who will win. I haven’t seen their videos or watched much of their performances though we have promoted at the same time, I’m pretty clueless about new artists but Carolina is really excited when WINNER is announced as the winner. They won with their debut track, not many idols do that, and since that point Carolina has said they will win the Best New Artist Award. The rest of us just politely clap our hands for them. When Girl’s Day starts their performance, I am reminded of why I prefer music programs where we can be backstage; talking and practicing. Here, I am stuck watching girls gliding on the floor whispering a song. I have something against y girl-groups in Korea, mostly because I don’t understand it at all. Everyone else likes it though; all the male artists are wild during the performance. But I’m with my members, so Maria makes me smile when she imitates Carolina singing along to the song. Ailee’s performance is more interesting, mostly because we like her song. Maria is bouncing in her seat for that performance, while quietly telling me the song reminds of one song I have for my album. I know which song she means because there is only one of my songs that have this kind of pop beat and strong vocals in it. I smile thinking of it, her words reminds me of what my song is about and I end up leaning towards Maria with a giggle. She laughs at my reaction. We must be the bad girls in high school; I am certain that is 5 Pieces’ role at award shows. We are judging each performance, then quietly whispers among the five of us that we don’t think [Problem] is that good of a song (not even Carolina likes it), we have similar opinions about our colleagues performance and we all imagine ourselves seeing Iggy being backstage seeing Girl’s Day rapping in an unknown language to Iggy’s part. I wonder if viewers of the show expected Iggy to make an appearance… “Imagine the fans reaction if Iggy had stepped up here,” Maria laughs next to me. I smile, exactly my thought. How will the fans react when she appears for our special collaboration? After sitting there for forty minutes, we are feeling the beat with Epik High. It is Emelia’s highlight of the night, she has liked Epik High since we started listening to Korean music, and of course she knows every single lyrics in the rap of their songs. Maria, Julia and I are bursting out with this super bad move that we do together; simple with our bodies just simply moving lightly to the beat and our fists held in front of us to go the opposite up-and-down direction from our bodies. We are in synch to each other but out of synch to the music, and I cover my mouth with a laugh when the camera catches us. Maria looks so confident and Julia is lost to the song – they also capture Emelia next to us rapping super seriously along. When they come up to where us artists are sitting, Tablo gives Emelia this cool handshake, and the rest of us are screaming like fan-girls when they leave the stage again. Maria just laughs as she saw Emelia’s hip-hop expression when Tablo came up to her. Next up on the stage as Lee Kwangsoo and Song Jihyo, famous for being in Running Man more than anything else, and Maria is Kwangsoo’s biggest fan among us so her reactions are as the fans – hilarious. I’m certain her character would be the same as Kwangsoo’s if she ever was a permanent member of Running Man – tall, clumsy and doing the weirdest moves at the best times. They present the Best Female Group Award, and of course, 5 Pieces is among the nominees. Carolina is too busy singing along to each song heard among the nominations to even react that we are there too. SISTAR wins the award though, and we happily stand up with happy applauses. It almost feels like planned because all five of us get up at the same time and starts applauding, but I can assure that we never plan things like these. Maria hits me on the arm when we sit down again, as if saying how idiotic we must look like. Best Male Group Award is presented next by the same presenters, and you can just hear the arena scream when EXO is heard among the nominations. I laugh a lot with Maria, loving the awards in our own way, and I turn around when seeing something behind us move. D.O had pointed at us and I lightly apologize for laughing at the reaction. My laughter is not bad; we were just surprised at the three times louder reaction at EXO’s nomination than the other male groups. There is no surprise that EXO does win, and when they are announced we stand up on our feet again, applauding. This time we turn around, because EXO are sitting behind us, and Kai is on his own turning right to bow at everyone while the rest of his group is clapping their hands and lowering their heads while stepping out on the left side of the chairs. We are still applauding when they have accepted the award and are preparing their speech. Sitting back down I glance at my members, seeing their expressions reflecting my own; proud older sister smiles are covering our faces. Suho like always says the speech, we are paying a lot of attention because EXO is part of our SM Town family and we are the only ones beside from SNSD’s Tiffany from the family there today, and also because EXO always ask us questions afterwards to get advice on what to improve for next time – yes, they want advice on their speeches as well. I’m sure we won’t have much to say because Suho mentions the SM artists and the camera glides past us (our faces are too stupid but the fans love it). Soon after that we are getting off the stage: a staff member comes to get me and Carolina to prepare for our stage with Iggy. “Have fun,” Maria tells us and I give her a frown. “You know what I mean,” she laughs and I reach out my tongue at her. Fans are screaming and waving when Carolina and I pass by, and the two of us smile and wave back to them. Going backstage, the nervousness begins to crawl in under our skin. Our dressing-room is calm and relaxed, but my insides are getting so nervous as I know we will be getting up on the stage performing with Iggy Azalea next and I am really worried I will do it so horribly that I won’t be able to get up on the stage later again. Carolina gets dressed in a white shirred detail v-neck chiffon blouse tugged inside a pair of pinstripe skinny pants in black and white, and the high heel boots matches perfectly to make her figure really y. “You will blow minds tonight,” Yong Hyun says as he peeks out behind Carolina in the mirror, making sure her shirt is tugged in the best way. He looks proud, for making Carolina look mature and y. I don’t look that stylish at all; wearing a pair of inset skirt leggings in black pulled up to my waist and a cropped black tee, and to that I am wearing the highest heel I have ever worn to pull up standing next to Iggy Azalea. They are Maria’s taste of shoes; thick and high. Carolina can have her own style in her outfit because she will be performing her solo song before the performance with Iggy, while my outfit is to show off as much figure as possible just like Iggy. Carolina’s figure is also shown in this outfit she is wearing, pants instead of a skirt. My long chestnut brown hair is pulled up in a high pony-tail, and my hair is still hanging far down my back even if it is put up and I like it so much. My hair and makeup is what I like the most. Carolina and I go to Iggy’s room, to have a final go-through about our performance before we actually go backstage to wait for it. Everyone looks at Iggy backstage, every head turns to look after her and I feel like a tiny little hobbit next to a tall, beautiful elf. I’m still short in my high heels compared to her, but I have Carolina as a support of height there and all the people around us seem to be at a good height. “We’re like three different types,” Iggy comments when the three of us look at a picture we just took together; a Mnet photographer took the picture but he showed it to us. Iggy is blonde, standing in the middle with brown haired me on one side and the red haired Carolina on the other side. “It will be a fun performance,” Carolina says with a smile, but I know she is super awkward. “Yeah,” she smirks. Iggy has such a different accent, a mix of Australian and American, at times it’s difficult to hear what she is saying but she is super cool. “Oh, cute Asians on the move.” I turn to look where Iggy is focused on and I laugh when seeing the well dressed EXO members coming this way. Iggy laughs with me and I think she knows it is the same group we greeted earlier today, who we (in 5 Pieces) introduced as younger brothers. “Good luck on your performance,” Xiumin says and lowers his head to us. I think he talks more to Carolina than the rest of us. “Thank you,” Carolina happily says and even gives a jump, just to stumble forward on the high heels and a lot of us laugh at her while Xiumin, D.O and I grab a hold of Carolina’s arms to not let her hurt herself minutes before her performance. “You all are clumsy,” Kai chuckles, but instead of taking Carolina’s arm like the rest of us he touches my arm. “Can we talk for a little bit?” It’s not even my own movements when he leads me some meters away from the others. I can still see Iggy smiling at Carolina’s awkwardness and the EXO members are chatting with them. Suho and Lay are there too, and somehow I am embarrassed for them, because they are speaking English for Iggy. “About the performance later…” Kai starts to say and I find myself gaping at him. “I’m not doing that,” I laugh, shocked that he mentions it again. “But it will be fun,” he laughs too and I really want to hit him on the arm or something to make him know I do not find it fun but he is smiling so handsomely that I just smile back, not hitting him. “We can practice later, backstage, before the performance. Or you can just go with the flow… Maria says we will be y.” “Hm,” I sigh and roll my eyes the way I know my friends do it. He laughs again. “Think about it,” he says, making it sound like a challenge. I focus my eyes on him. I don’t like challenges, I’m not much for challenges at all, but Kai is always this little weirdo who can charm his way through, and I put my hands on my hips. “Are you challenging me?” I ask. “Maybe,” Kai chuckles, “Who knows, we might end up being the hot topic of MAMA.” “Yeah right.” This time I do hit his arm, and like always he steps back and rubs it with a chuckle. Suho calls for him that they are going. “I’ll think about it.” I do think about it when he leaves. It’s obvious we won’t be a hot topic because I am in a public relationship, there is John Legend and Iggy Azalea present at the award show, both G-Dragon and Taeyang are there, its EXO the hottest idol of the year… Let’s just say that my collaborations with Kai have faded with interest from people since people found out I have a boyfriend. Iggy disappears off to somewhere and she has not returned when Carolina is getting ready for her performance. I, on the other hand, am standing close to Carolina and keep repeating ‘fighting’ and cheerful words to calm her nerves. It is Carolina’s first award show performing solo while 5 Pieces is there; it is the first music award show as well. I think she has only performed at a fashion award show before, but my memory can never be trusted. She wants to do well as a solo artist; we are on the same page when it comes to being an artist. I stay on the side, smiling with the staff that is watching me peek out to the stage when Carolina’s performance begins. She has just sung the first verse when I glance at the staff next to me. “Is she doing well?” I ask in Korean and then look behind us at some Hong Kong staff, and I ask in English; “Is it okay?” “I like this song,” Iggy says as she comes over to me, moving along to Carolina’s song. “She produced it herself?” I nod. “She has turned her bedroom into a studio,” I say. Her equipment is filling her bedroom, cords connecting her things to the computer. It’s no question as to why she has to keep her room closed from pets; otherwise her equipment will be pulled, scratched and chewed on. But Carolina does brilliantly on stage. She looks y in the outfit and pulls off her song as perfectly as she made it, and I am backstage smiling like an idiot watching her performance. The other ladies are cheering her on sitting among the other idols, I’m sure fans and cameras are capturing their proud face expressions. I think I even see Emelia hold up her camera to take a picture. Carolina’s musically performance of her solo song [I Wish You Were My Love] comes to an end when she is standing at the centre of the main stage, and she turns her head to the side and lifting her hands up to start clapping her hands as the music for [Black Widow] begins to play. Carolina sings while standing still with the microphone held a bit above her head so she has to lean back, and she keeps clapping her hand lightly against her wrist for the first part while singing; *I’m gonna lova ya Until you hate me And I’m gonna show ya What’s really crazy You should’ve known better Than to mess with me, honey I’m gonna love ya, I’m gonna love ya Gonna lova ya, gonna love ya Like a black widow baby* Iggy Azalea makes her appearance on Carolina’s right side, some stairs up for a platform, and I am waiting backstage with a nervous heart while the audience starts to scream at the sight of her. The audience probably never thought that Carolina would be performing with Iggy, out of all idols here today. I am jump a bit in excitement seeing Iggy step down the stairs and come join Carolina on the main stage while doing her rap and the audience seems super excited. I take my own position, to come out on the left side of the stage, and I keep taking deep breaths thinking of Iggy’s rap to pay attention to when it’s my cue. She does her last two lines of the rap *And as it all plays out I see it couldn’t be clearer – Now sing* and I start to sing with the camera in front of me, I walk forward to reach the stage and I do exactly as practiced. *You used to be thirsty for me But now you wanna be set free This is the web, web that you weave So baby now rest in peace ([Iggy] It’s all over with me)* At the third line while I sing my line I stop my steps and lightly glide my hand up my hip as practiced; fans are screaming and I smile for the last line just a little bit because the fans are really loud. My solo part ends and I begin to sing the chorus with Carolina, quickly clapping my hands after our first line together so I almost miss to sing the second line and I am happily heading over to the centre where Carolina and Iggy are doing their thing: [CHORUS, Hannah & Carolina] *I’m gonna love ya Until you hate me ([Iggy] Right) And I’m gonna show ya (Show ‘em what show ‘em what) What’s really crazy You should’ve known better Than to mess with me, honey (it’s all over with now) I’m gonna love ya, I’m gonna love ya Gonna love ya, gonna love ya [Hannah] Like a black widow, baby* When Iggy raps *show ‘em what show ‘em what* during the chorus, Iggy turns towards me and since I am heading towards them in my happy steps she starts to back away feeling the rhythm and I do almost the same thing heading towards her – just like practiced – and I know I am probably smiling too much but this is surprisingly a lot of fun. The reaction of the fans is heard too loud, their excitement makes me smile, and the song is making my body bounce and I have no worries about making mistakes or how I look because the beauty of performing is to get lost in the music and the stage and just to what you have prepared. Iggy looks to enjoy the performance too, which is good because she is more of the guest here than us and we want her to enjoy the time here. At the end of the chorus I sing the last part on my own as Carolina and I have divided it like that, and I lean my head back to come out with the right tone and my free hand is put up in the air. We are doing great, I think we are doing great anyway because everyone’s hands are in the air. Iggy starts rapping again after the chorus and when she starts walking out along the stage to the extra stage, Carolina and I start following her. I think I am moving a lot to her rap, I am lip-synching to the rap since I have learned it while listening to the song so many times practicing and I am really enjoying it while following Iggy with Carolina. My close friend is coolly acting towards the extra stage, I don’t think she is smiling as much as me; maybe she thinks rappers performances doesn’t have smiles in them, while I am just … showing how fun I have. At the extra stage, Carolina and I start singing our part together and this time it is the two of us standing next to each other for a line, before I look back and slap her one tine and walk over to the side to sing for the fans. It was Iggy and Maria who came up with the idea of slapping Carolina’s , and I’m certain I didn’t do it the right way for the performance but our eyes met and we both smiled before I walked to the side, Carolina went to the side too. It is the last chorus. We are pumped up and I am really enjoying it. We are doing as practiced and halfway through the chorus Carolina and I stand with our backs facing Iggy between us and I am bouncing my shoulders back and forth, looking over my shoulder a time to see Iggy rapping some words during our singing, I point out at the crowd when singing *I’m gonna lova ya* and at the forth *I’m gonna lova ya* neither Carolina nor I sing it as we instead wait a second to finish off with the last line *Like a black widow baby!* The music continues and I find it silly when Carolina and I walk behind Iggy to change positions for the ending pose, When the performance ends, Iggy puts her arms around us and the place goes dark for us to get off the stage. We get down on the side of the extra stage, fans on both our sides are screaming towards us and a camera-crew in front of us film for some backstage thing and the three of us just does a hand motion while being showed backstage. As soon as the camera-crew let us pass we have a staff member get out microphones. Most of the evening goes simply well after that. Sitting among the audience is like a long wait before we will go backstage to get ready for our performance. While sitting among the audience we cheered as Carolina was nominated as Best Female Vocal Performance, but she didn’t won – we still cheered when she was shown as the nominated. We did the same thing when both Carolina and Carolina were shown among the nominees for Best Female Solo Artist, we applauses during the performances and we hug EXO when they win Artist of the Year. D.O looked so confused when we congratulated them, and according to Julia he was expecting 5 Pieces to win. Why? Because being the Artist of the Year, he thought 5 Pieces’ promotions have been much better than theirs. Well, for us, EXO has an endless show of charms, and since they are our juniors they deserve it. We do get an award though. Best Dance Performance for Female Group, [POWER UP] won for its new and fresh movements and the addicting joy of following along. I don’t say a word during our speech, but I bow countless of times. When EXO’s performance begins the camera captures us one time before we are heading backstage to prepare for our performance. We have seen EXO’s rehearsals but I still would want to see their live stage, so I try to glance over at the TV-screen in our room many times while I have someone pulling in me and telling me to focus. Our makeup is thickened and our eyes get more dramatic and charismatic for our performance, and we all wear matching short fringe dresses. My dress is in ivory, a short babydoll fringe dress that is strapless and fully jewelled bodice that looks like dropping ice and beated, plain fringe. I am wearing underpants in ivory as well, and see-through tights to make my legs look better and more fitting. I wear a thick silver bracelet on my right wrist and the other is filled with small bracelets in gold and silver, just one black and my hair is simply put down from the pony-tail I wore earlier and styled anew in fresher heavy locks than the ones I had earlier. Julia has styled her short hair back, she is wearing crystal earrings and a spaghetti strap short cocktail dress with fringes and a rhinestone bodice; the dress is in a colour while the fringes and details are in white. She looks tanned in the outfit, white nails and a thick white bracelet. Emelia is also in a short strapless dress like me, it is a sweetheart dress with beading and fringe on skirt, golden details at the top and she looks like a goddess in her pale skin, the ivory dress and long straight blonde hair. Carolina is in a ivory-silver strapless short cocktail dress that has a crystal waistband and fringe sequin net skirt, her hair is styled to be pulled back and then in light curls come back down her shoulders, and for accessories she has it simple with earrings. She looks so pretty. For Maria, our leader is in a strapless body dress with sweetheart neckline, fully beaded bodice with satin waistband and fringe skirt. It looks like a dress but the body can be seen underneath the fringe. She has large round earrings for her long bob hair, and all five of us are wearing white peep-toe shoes with double platform and the heel is decorated with tiny crystals. And like that, we are ready for our performance. Gathering backstage at the end of G-Dragon and Taeyang’s performance, I hold my microphone behind my back as 5 Pieces, our dancers and our band quickly give out our typical cheer by standing with as many has as possible held out to the middle (those who can’t fit are leaning closely behind us in a circle). We don’t have time for a speech, so Maria quickly cheers; “Who are we?” “5 Pieces!” the rest of us answer loudly. “Who are we?!” Maria calls out a bit louder and she screams with us; “5 PIECES!” Our hands flies up in the air and the band have to hurry up on
