Emelia had bought a white t-shirt with black lettering print on it, it is long and cut up on the sides, and while it looks big on her it is tight around my s and hip, looking like a completely different t-shirt. I got to borrow it on the airport to London, wearing a pair of black leggings and a baseball cap. I like to have a laid back style at the airport. While we were at the airport waiting to board the flight, I was sitting with Carolina colouring the lyrics for the Arena Tour we got the other day. We colour our own parts and the group parts to know where we sing. Basically we look like children doodling at the airport with coloured pens in hand, and I continued to do that on the flight. Sleep and practicing for the Arena Tour was what we mostly did at the flight to London. We landed the same day thanks to the time difference but we just checked in on the hotel and went on a meeting before bed were calling. Now, we have arrived at Wembley Stadium for rehearsals. We have our album with us because even if it is not standard, we have decided to hand out our album tomorrow during preparations before the concert. We sign our albums waiting for rehearsals and are ready to put them in a safe place to keep them there over the day and night to hand out tomorrow; by now, when waiting for our rehearsal, we are indeed nervous. Not for rehearsals because I think we all know how to perform well, but for who we will meet backstage. I think we are delaying the time to walk out of our room backstage in fear for who we might bump in to, but still excited because outside the stadium there are fans and at the airport we were greeted by fans yesterday too so it is all quite amazing so far. And when I say fans, I mean Puzzle. Puzzle is here! We saw our own name and we had some fans screaming at the sight of us, so even if we will have just a few fans in the stadium tomorrow for the concert, we know they will be there, cheering us on. “Who is ready for rehearsals?” Manager Park asks us. “Everybody,” Maria answers for us. On the way to the stage we actually don’t meet any superstar at all, which I am very happy over because when reaching the stage, we don’t freak out over who we could’ve met but instead focuses on rehearsals. It turns out the songs we have practiced for are the wrong ones. Or at least one, as Summertime Ball wants to hear one of last year’s hit songs; a Korean song. There is actually an argument as soon as we arrive to the stage because of that, because we have not practiced for a Korean song but the producers found it obvious we would perform a Korean hit of ours. It is easy to decide on which song because [Girls Power] need special chairs to be performed, [POWER UP] needs at least one table, [Like That] was not that big so all left is [You Thought Wrong Of Me]. While rehearsing, we are talking to our stylists by the stage too because if we are going to perform [You Thought Wrong Of Me] tomorrow, we are going to need something leather, which our current outfits for tomorrow’s stage do not have – our stylists will head on an urgent leather shop hunt later. The rest of the rehearsals go well, and it is fun! We have tons of fun rehearsing for the songs once the argument have passed and our dancers are in a great mood even when jet lagged so they show off some freestyle dancing that is hilarious until Maria joins in and she kind of ruin the brilliance moves of our dancers, but it sure creates laughter. For today I am wearing a 3/4-sleeve t-shirt dress in ivory, baring my legs to sneakers but the weather is nice and we are just going to rehearse and prepare for tomorrow. Towards the end of our rehearsals, Maria’s voice calls for us to gather around. “LET’S SNAP A PICTURE TOGETHER, YA’LL!” she roars out on the main stage. I don’t know why she roars like that to us when she could easily use a normal tone if she lifted the microphone to her lips and spoke to that, but I nudge Min Na on the side to tell her to come too. 5 Pieces and our dancers gather behind Maria for a picture, and don’t even make me ask where she got that selfie stick all of a sudden from, but because of that we all can fit in the picture grimacing from the sunlight and smiling happily together. I actually love the picture. {Instagram, 5P_PRINCESS: Rehearsals for Summertime Ball with the ladies and danger squad} “You could’ve used a smiley at least,” I comment to Maria when I personally like the picture on Instagram on our way down the stage. “I put a microphone there,” Maria says and points at the picture on my phone. “And our expressions says it all, no need to add anything. Oppa, will we get some fish and chips today?” A staff member reaches out his hand when we get off the stage to take our microphones and a female staff gets up behind me to help me take off the in-ear. Maria is talking to Manager Park about food, Emelia walks down from the stage to get her microphone taken too and to join the talk about food. Though in the middle of talking Korean with Maria and Manager Park, her voice changes to English and she greets someone politely, someone who I can’t see behind Manager Park so I lean a bit forward to see who it is. Though I am already leaning forward, at the sight of a member from Little Mix I lower my head to make it a bow – out of habit, as outside Asia you don’t bow to greet people. “I watched your rehearsal, it was really cool,” the cute voice of the Little Mix member say when she holds out her hand to shake Emelia’s, “I’m Jade from the girl-group Little Mix.” “Oh, we know who you are,” Emelia shakes her hand, sounding bright with her dark tone. “We’re big fans of yours.” “Are you serious?” Jade laughs and moves to shake Maria’s hand too. I guess I will shake her hand too so I get a bit closer to them. “We sing your songs all the time. [Girls Power] is constantly played when we’re working.” “Yay,” I cheer lightly with a laugh and I hold out my hand to shake hers when she has turned to me. “I’m Hannah.” Jade is super cute, her face is pointy and beautiful but it is her voice that is the reason to her cuteness. Little Mix is a lot like 5 Pieces, other than being a girl-group their songs are a lot about girls’ power and feeling good in your own skin; we listen often to their music because it is empowering to both body and mind, so it is refreshing hearing the cute Jade say they listen to our music too. Maria talks the most, and I walk with them as Jade wants to introduce us to the rest of her members. She asks where the other two members of 5 Pieces went and asking questions if we came straight from Korea, if it isn’t hard travelling so much (she talks like a colleague, knowing how it is to travel a lot) and she is actually really social with us. Among all celebrities we have met outside Asia, I think Little Mix is the most comfortable one. I don’t know if it is because we are around the same age and are all in a girl-group, or if it is something else completely, but once we greet the members of Little Mix, I know we can become good friends. We chat a lot backstage today, even later in the day when Julia and Emelia had gone to the bathroom they come back saying it took longer because they met Jesy and Perrie from Little Mix. We even eat dinner together, which is amazing and we have such discussions that it’s like meeting four more members of 5 Pieces as they have very direct topics and opinions. I love it. Within hours, I am head over heels over Little Mix; all of us are. The day of rehearsals goes well because of them. We got work after dinner, both groups, but after that we actually meet up again. Maria had mentioned that she and I were planning to go watch the movie Mad Max at the cinema, and we got two members from Little Mix wanting to come along. I walk a lot with Jesy tonight, on the way back and forth from the movie we get into our own conversations about bodies, overweight, clothes and stupid comments. I give her tons and tons of compliments about her attitude and looks because she is a little bigger than the other but she isn’t in a bad shape and she looks really amazing. If I were to be a fan of a specific member in Little Mix, it would be Jesy. She has such a voice, such a body and such an attitude. The fact that I can’t hear 90% of their words is difficult, they have such hard accents, but somehow I still understand their meanings. I can’t complain because my English isn’t fluent so they probably have some difficulties understanding me too, but it doesn’t stop us from talking and everyone is indeed talking and we have a lot of fun. And the movie was absolutely amazing. Maria had seen it already but she wanted to see it again when I said I want to see it, and I am actually happy Jesy and Leigh-Anne came along, even if we were pretty quiet throughout the movie. ++ - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + -+ - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + -+ - + - ++ “You ladies are in a few minutes going to get up on the stage here at Summertime Ball 2015. It is your first time attending, how are you feeling right at this moment?” I am hiding behind Maria’s height when we are doing the sudden interview by the British woman who out of nowhere stopped us on the way to the stage. She does that, apparently, and I now understand why we were told to go earlier than planned to the stage. Hiding behind Maria, I have my chin above her shoulder and arms held around her from behind; okay, I wanted to just hide behind her but Maria pulled my arms around her so I couldn’t step back. Maria looks stunning in a short fitting dress in brown-orange with black patterns from top to toe. Her heels show off her legs, she wears bracelets on her wrists and on her arm and her blonde hair is straightened out to her shoulders, making her look tall and beautiful.. for the stage, I think I look pretty good as well, but for an interview I want to cover myself a little. Carolina is in a dress of the same coral colour as mine: my dress is a crinkly crepe fit-and-flare mini dress which features front and back cutouts and exaggerated flutter sleeves (which I do love a lot, and the dress do show off my good parts) and the dress is very light and I have filled it up with a bick necklace hanging above the fabric of my dress, bracelets in a set spread out up my arm and down my wrist as well as two rings, ????????????????????? Maria’s stomach moves when she starts to answer the question and just by the sound of her voice I start to smile and nod along, agreeing like usually to everything our leader says. She talks in English, saying how excited the crowd sounds so we are excited to make our very first appearance at Summertime Ball. We have walked the Red Carpet earlier, taking pictures and such, but we have not yet met the crowd that is filling the arena. Not yet. The woman asks us a few quick questions and I am smiling towards Carolina when the two of us are the only ones not uttering a word throughout the short interview. And we end the interview by having a staff member say we have to go take our positions. A few deep breaths later, Wembley is ours. Our first song is [Pieces’ Invasion]. I feel pretty and y both at once, all of us are charismatic, we feel powerful on the stage when performing the song and I feel that this stage is like our usual performances. It doesn’t matter where we are; we got fans singing along, cheering. It is not like in Korea, far from it, but these people came to party and bounce along to the music, and I think the songs we have chosen give them that. [Pieces’ Invasion] is a popular song too, so I hope a few in the crowd have heard it; it’s wonderful to perform for them though. They scream during Emelia’s parts (I actually want to scream during her parts too because she take them on in such a deep voice) and, well, we just perform with joy and charisma like we always do. After [Pieces’ Invasion] we also perform [(Dare to) Face Me], the Korean [You Thought Wrong Of Me] and we end with a perfectly pumped up performance of [Daze]. If anyone didn’t know our songs at first, they must’ve answered to [Daze] because it sounds like the whole arena is reacting wonderfully to it. Our performance feels short though. Four songs end quickly even if we get sweaty from it. The overly excitement to do well and have fun must’ve been quite tiring.   The next day we take the flight to Japan, to prepare for our Arena Tour. On the flight we are all very busy it feels like; if we aren’t checking reactions from last night we are studying lyrics for the Japanese songs or practicing for the tour some way. I sit next to Emelia, and we are constantly talking; we talk about work mostly, but also about Ryo and though I don’t tell her I keep thinking of Jonghyun. Our performance from Summertime Ball was good. The reactions though, they are outstanding. People are comparing 5 Pieces with the other performances, Fifth Harmony and Little Mix are given such critic because of us and I guess some happiness is in me when reading 5 Pieces is on the same performance level as Ne-Yo (world stars!), the compliments and praise is seen wherever we look on the internet, magazines are saying we are indeed making an invasion and they are warning people who are sensitive to take caution in case they will faint or go crazy as they say that happens around 5 Pieces. The words are lovely to read, it makes us laugh seeing how far they take it to create a buzz about us; but it is only the best publicity our performance is given. Little Mix had praised us during the Red Carpet by saying they had watched our rehearsals and they were saying very lovely things. The highlight of the night for everyone was probably when Rita Ora took the stage, and when she performed [Black Widow] she introduced Emelia. I swear, the rest of us were literally screaming backstage when Emelia started to rap on the stage. It is the same song Carolina and I performed at MAMA half a year ago with Iggy Azalea. It was Rita Ora’s idea, she said she had liked the performance we did half a year ago and since she is the singer in the song and read this; she has been impressed in our songs over the rapping we do. By “we” I of course mean “Emelia”, because she is the rapper, and that is how they came to perform together. Rita Ora arrived just before the concert began though so they never rehearsed, but it was the highlight of the night so indeed, it was watch worthy. She had said in an interview that our rapping is good, even mentioning backstage for us that it would be fun to collaborate sometime. Not just her; Ne-Yo knew about 5 Pieces too, though rather than saying we should collaborate sometime he wa
