Amber POV:

'This just keeps getting more and more akaward' Amber thought as she set her small suitcase on a bed. A kind villager offered the group to stay in his house. They accepted, deciding to split the rooms among themselves. The girls would get one room and the guys, the other. Amber plopped on her bed which just so happened to be right next to Li Kuns. 'I dont think I could take her stares any longer...as if I didnt sleep enough, how am I going to sleep through this!?' Amber slowly looked over at Li Kun carrying many bags, practically filling her bed. 'What in the world did she even bring?!' she thought in amazement. Li Kuns manager walked in, as she was sharing the room with them too. Amber looked over to see the manager observing her, as if she was some sort of rare species. Ducking her head into her open suit case, she thought, 'What is with these two?!? Why do they like to stare at me?' Trying to dispel all horror filled scenarios, Amber ped her two dog carrrier bags, letting Gungju and JackJack out. The dogs ran around the room happily. Being as curious as they were, they slowly approached Li Kun from behind and sniffed at her toes. Li kun looked down and screamed, leaping onto her bed. "Whats wrong?!" Amber asked, worried if the dogs had accidentaly scratched her. "H-how did they get in here!? Whos dogs are they!?!" she said, her tone showing disgust. "They're mine. Are you scared of dogs?" Amber asked, holding Gungju and JackJack away from Li Kun. Scowling, Li Kun excalimed, "I dont like dogs!". Ambers eyebrows rose, shes meet people that are scared of dogs (and shes helped them with their fears) but never someone who just doesnt like dogs. She looked over at Gungju and JackJack, 'This might be a problem...' She didnt want her 'babies' to be away from her but she knew she would have to make things work between her new room mates. "Ok, Ill just ask the guys if they can stay in their room" she said, picking up the doggie beds and telling Gungju and JackJack to follow. The guys room was right across from theirs. Just as she stepped out of her room, she crashed into something. "Ow!" she said, rubbing her head and looking up at a pair of equally suprised eyes. "O-oh Kris?"  "Amber? Where are you going with that?" He asked, pointing to the doggie beds. "Oh, er...can you do me a favor?" she said, rubbing the back of her neck. She looked at Krs that seemed to be taken back a bit, "Y-yeah sure." he said. Amber knew her and Kris were still not in their comfortable zone around each other, like they used to be, but she had to ask him for her 'babies'. "Can Gongju and JackJack stay in your room? Li Kun doesnt like dogs..." Amber said, her head slghtly tilting side ways. Kris eyebrows rose, "She doesnt like dogs, really?". "Er, yea..", Amber replied, getting slightly annoyed for some reason. "Yea, sure I'll take them" he said as he bent down to pet them. JackJack and Gongju his hands, responding to his touch. 'Ya! How could you like him so quickly?! Traitors...' Amber thought to her dogs.

But she smiled slightly as Kris continued to play them, her mom had always said that a dependable guy is always revelaed when he interacts with children or animals. 'I guess hes more dependable than I thought' Amber had barely looked at Kris as the "dependable" type...but now that she thought about it...memories of Kris comforting and supporting Amber came back to her, one by one.

When she was feeling unwell after a stage perfomance and he was concered for her, when she couldnt sleep and he would play basketball with her, when he would rap with her when she was feeling homesick, or make jokes with her while she was tired on stage...

Amber smiled, looking back at Kris with almost new eyes. 'This shagua (A/N: Means idiot or literally 'dumb melon' in Chinese...hehe Kris is a melon) took care of me a lot more than I thought he did...'.  "Shagua..." she said, practcally whispering. "Huh?" Kris said, looking at Amber. "Eh, nothing, thanks again!" she said quickly, her face pink, as she walked quickly to her room, not waiting for him to react.

'Ok, my goal for today is to aviod the palace!' she thought with determination.

"Okay everone, first we'll head to the palace!" the MCs declared.

Amber could feel herself crumble, 'These MCs are RUINING my life!!!!' she thought, her eyes twitching slightly, unfamiliar thoughts of pushing them off the cliff entering her head.

"Theres a palace here?" "Really a palace?" "A real palace?" Amber heard them exclaim with amazment. 'If you cant beat `em, join `em.' With her best acting skills, Amber widen her eyes, and said "I didnt think a palace would be here!" "Well there is dear Amber! And its not just a palace, Ive heard rumors that there is even royality living in there! Isnt that right?" the female MCs asked our tour guide. The villager just smiled, not saying anything and started to walk. 'I love these villagers!' Amber thought, 'they protect their princess so well!'. The group followed the villager, while Amber stayed slightly behind them. She wanted to see the palace more than anyone but she didnt want to see it this way. The palace was in the far east of the village, close to the outskirts. After about 20 minutes they approached a beautiful, clear watered rushing river. "This is the river that flows into and ends in the palace." the villager said. Mangaer oppa spoke up, "So there is a waterfall near the palace?" he asked, eyes wide. The villager smiled and said "Yes". We then walked for about 10 more minutes when we saw the extremly large, dark, thick wooden gates of the palace and its large knockers with elegant carvings on them. Hearing the sounds of amazement around her, Amber could only look. Her heart warmed and she could feel the tears that swelled up inside her. She missed this home. Its been such a long time since her last visit. She missed her gege, her guma, and all the workers; from Chef Chang who had cheered her up when she became frustared she couldnt cook to Gate Guards Bao and Heng who greeted her whenever she entered or exited the palace. All thirty people in the palace are part of her family. 'Its so unfair. Ive finally come home but I cant even step inside...' Taking a deep breath and wiping her moist eyes discretly, Amber knew what she had to do. "Cant we go inside?" Li Kun asked the villager. The villager shook his head, "Im very sorry but no one is allowed in the gates of the palace. Not even the villagers. This is as far as you can go". "So no one has ever been inside?!" Kris' manager asked. The villager smiled, "No, no one". The group looked at each other, slightly dissapointed and shocked that no one had really never been inside. "Well, can we try?" the male MC asked. The villager raised his eyebrows, "You may try". 'What in the world are they planning to do?!' Amber thought, worried. Both of the MCs went up to the gates and knocked on them as hard as they could. After a few seconds later, when they assumed they wouldnt get a response, a small section of the gate opened, revealing only a face. 'Bao!!!!' Amber didnt know what to do. If Bao saw her, he might let her in or even say something. Should she hide? No, no everyone would wonder why she was hiding "Yes?" Bao asked looking at the MCs, showing a stern face. "We are visting Tea Mountain Village and we were wondering if we could see the palace." Baos gaze shifted over to the rest of the group until he stopped at Ambers face. His eyes widend slightly for a split second. Just as he was about to say something, Amber glared at him, sending a telepathic 'NO!'. His face became stern once again and Amber assumed he got her message. He then looked back at the MCs. "Im sorry, no one is allowed inside." Then after nodding in acknowledgement to the villager, he closed the small section without waiting for a response. "Well then, let us move to our next destination" the villager said as he started to walk away. Althought slightly hesistant, the group started to follow. Amber however, stayed behind. She couldnt move her feet. She looked up at the towering gates, longing in her heart. A few seconds later the small section opened again, revealing Bao smiling at her and bowing. She smiled back at him, telepathically thanking him. Then she quickly turned away to catch up with the group to aviod any speculation.

Amber told the others that she was going to sleep early that day, tired from all the walking. But really, she just needed to be alone. Walking quickly to her room, she pulled out her cell and called gege. As soon as she heard his voice, Amber felt reilived. "Did Bao tell you?" she asked. "Yes, and he was very shocked afterwards" gege said with a chuckle. Amber smiled, "Well it wasnt a picnic for me either" she said, "Ge I dont know what to do. I was thinking I should just tell them that I want to stay for a few more day and to leave before me". "But those MCs might want to stay with you. You told me how annoying they were" he said, slight annoyance filling his voice. "By the way, didnt you say that Kris guy was with you?" gege asked. "H-huh?" Amber asked, blushing slightly,  wondering where that question came from and where it would lead. "Gege, um, is there any problems in the palace?" She heard gege chuckle and say "No, excepet fro the fact that everyones excited and riled up for your return. I had to scold them when they suggested they would come to you and parade you to the palace." Amber laughed, "I wish!" she exclaimed. "But there is another problem..." his voiced suddenly becoming more serious. Amber grip on her cell tightened. "What is it?" she asked, slighlty worried. "Do you remember that politican I was talking to you about?" Amber racked through her memory of the many politicians she had to remember. "Ah, you mean that new one. Bing Xia?" she said. "Yes, well I was looking through his files last week to send to you but I noticed something. Amber, there was money missing." gege said, anger replacing his usual calmness. Amber eyes widen, "From what reserve?" Amber asked. "From that extra reserve we had last year to build hospitals and schools" gege said. Ambers fists tighted and with the calmness she was taught, she relpied "Ok, them?" Her gege was her right hand in dealing with politics, so she knew he did more than just sit there.  "Then, I meet up with him and re-explained to him his limits and regulations. But that hundan (A/N: Means bastard in Chinese)  REFUSED dianxia (A/N: Means 'your majesty' in Chinese, you will read this often) . He said that the royal family doesnt hold any power. That this is just a palace for show. " Amber inhaled and exhaled, gege only called her dianxia when things were serious. She knew her gege probably restrained himself greatly from harming Bing Xia. Rarely politicians broke the rules set by her family, so Amber barely needed to straighten them out. Usually she would just meet them to discuss about events or give them advice or talk about their future plans. But she knew that if a politican needed to be corrected, it had to be in the beginning and she had to be firm. "Send me the files" she told gege. "Yes dianxia but what are you going to do about him? He is coming again tommorow. Then afterwards, he is going to fly to China to make some business deals. I have a feeling that those deals are not going to be clean." She signed, feeling a headache starting to form. What could she do???? "Urggh!" she exclaimed running her fingers through her hair. She knew she had to talk to Bing Xia. She had to tell him to return the money and follow her rules or kick him out completly. And there was no way she was sending him to China without straightening him out first. But how could she get inside the palace without revealing the fact that she was a princess?!?! She couldnt with the MCs sticking to her like glue. Amber layed flat on the ground, her hand over her face. "Dianxia?" she head gege say, concerned.

Amber signed once again. "Gege, you know what I have to do. You'll help me wont you?"

Amber said, completly and utterly terrified with what she had to do tommorow.

She heard her gege sigh as well, "Of course dianxia. We have no other choice..."

Amber held her hand over her rapidly beating heart. "How many are there?" gege asked. "Well, tommorow the managers all have to go because of meetings. My manager was called in by SM to discuss the next SM Town and Li Kuns and Kris Manager have to deal with some rumors from the media. And they arent going to come back here. So...4 in total. " she said, the first time she was ever so relived of her manager oppa leaving. "And how many do you trust?" he asked. "1...and 2 I dont trust at all." she said, her life feeling terrible. "Okay, so for the other 3, how will we convince them?" gege asked. Amber tugged at her hair, beyond frustrated, "I dont know...". Gege sighned.

Amber didnt know what would happen tommorow.

She wished tommorow would never ever come...

8 years she had protected this,

now it would only come crashing down at her own two feet....
