❝ How long have you known? ❞ ❝ Since I've first laid eyes on her.❞       Soohyun's grip tighten around Seungho's collar. "What was in the soup Seungho?!" Soohyun questioned again. This time Seungho pushed Soohyun off him, causing the older to stumble  a few steps back.    "How long have you known?" Seungho asked, despite the dangerous look in Soohyun's eyes.    "Know what?" Soohyun questioned back with a harsher tone.    Finally something hit Seungho and he came to realize it, "You've known, that's why you asked me if I believed in mermaids the other day, didn't you?"    "That's right." Soohyun replied with a heavy sigh, "I've seen her as a mermaid ever since I've first laid eyes on her. But tell me, how did you know what she was to put whatever in the soup? Or was it Jiyeon?"    Seungho cocked his head to the side a little, "What? Jiyeon? Now you're going to turn against your sister because of some mermaid?"    "It's not like that." Soohyun's eyes shook a little. "Look Seungho. I don't know how and why but....I'm going to request something of you."    Seungho stayed silent for a moment, behind Soohyun Gain was trying to hide her whole body under the water, yet keep her head up over the surface to hear their conversation.    "Seungho I'm begging you....I know you work for animal control but don't take her in...."    Seungho looked directly into Soohyun's eyes, "Was that the first thing you thought I would do when I discover an abnormal creature in your bath tub?"    "Yes, that's why I'm begging you not to."   "Why should I listen to you?"    "Because....Because I've come to...like her." "Please Seungho....For our friendship, do this for me....I know you didn't believe in mermaids but now you've seen one....And I wanted to keep her hidden but I knew it was impossible when you brought her back yourself. So—"   "How are you going to tell Jiyeon that there's a mermaid in your house? Are you planning to have her stay with me for the rest of your life? So you and this mermaid can play house-mate?"    "That's not it—Wait....Aren't you Seunghyun....?"    "Who told you that?" Seungho questioned with serious tone.    This time Gain splashed around in the water a bit as she reached over to poke her head out from behind the wall. "Soohyun, can you help me out?"    Jiyeon let out a heavy sigh as she dropped onto Seyeon's bed, in a sitting position. "What the heck. Sometimes I wonder if Seungho and you are going steady instead. He never talks to me on the phone for a long amount of time, like how he does with you."    Seyeon walk over and sat beside Jiyeon on the bed. "Jiyeon, you know we work together so there's a lot to talk about."   Jiyeon pursed out her lips, "I don't know, but I feel like he likes you more."    Seyeon sighed aloud, "Stop thinking so hard about it. Seungho only likes you. If he didn't like you he would have complained about Soohyun calling him brother-in-law, and he wouldn't be with you for two years. Let's go to sleep instead." Seyeon then removed the puffy pink blanket and slide in, as she get herself comfortable, Jiyeon quickly fell beside her.    "Seyeon."   "Yes?" Seyeon asked looking up at the ceiling.    "Say....If my brother and that woman really get together....What would you do?" Jiyeon was laying on her side now, looking at Seyeon's side profile. Her hands were clapped together and comfortably tuck in a gap where the side of her head and pillow met.    "Then I should move on, right?" Seyeon asked, as if it was nothing.    "Why? If you move on then that woman would end up being my sister in law instead!" Jiyeon said in a high tone. Seyeon clicked her tongue.    "Don't talk like that, if Soohyun know he'll be upset."    Jiyeon pouted at that, "I was just saying. If he choose that woman over you then I'd never call him brother again!" Jiyeon toss around to face the opposite direction.    Seyeon sighed a little at that as she turn her head to see the back of Jiyeon's head. "Jiyeon....I'd always be your friend even if your brother doesn't choose me. It must be hard for him too, that's why he hid that woman from us."    Before Seyeon noticed, Jiyeon had already fallen into a deep slumber. She smiled a little at that and reached over to pull the cover over her sleeping friend.
