I got hold of Sehun's contact via Yoona and found out from him that Yixing would be performing at the Sadie Hawkins dance this weekend. That will be my chance to give Yixing my answer and make it up to him. Publicly.

Before I hung up on Sehun though, we had this exchange.

"Bo, whatever you're planning, I hope you'll reciprocate Yixing's feelings. He's been into you for the longest time. I think he was already attracted to you waaaay back when he first met you?"

"Nah. That's not possible. He was dating J when we first met."

"Well, he wasn't genuinely invested in his relationship with Jessica. From what I understood, it was just a hookup? An extended hookup, thanks to your challenge? Yixing dragged on his relationship with Jessica, possibly because he wanted to prove you wrong? Think you taunted him about his relationships not lasting beyond 3 months or something? But anyways, through Jessica, he met you and I recall he raved about how amazed he was that the smartest girl in E.P. is someone as attractive as you and ranted about how frustratingly annoying you were too. He was backwards crushing on you! He couldn't stop talking about you or asking me everything about you!"

"Well, he sure has a funny way of showing his crush? I recall he was rather mean to me at our first meeting. Also, he was too into J to be nursing a crush on me? Oh! And he called me a the second time we met! I'm quite sure him liking me is a recent development. He first told me that he's falling for me, only after The Slam?"

"I think back then, Yixing probably didn't realise his attraction for you yet. But believe me, he was going on and on about your first encounter. I recollect Yixing mentioned you were mean to him too? It's probably his tit-for-tat way of teasing you. Yixing delights in a good debate and I believe both of you had quite a repartee? He was so excited telling me your lively exchanges, how he finally met a beautiful girl who could trade wits with him? But Yixing knew you were betrothed to Siwon. So he probably thought he didn't stand a chance and held himself back. I believe he suppressed his attraction for you by trying to get himself more into Jessica. I think he also relished that being close to Jessica, meant getting closer to you. But I guess he couldn't fake his feelings for Jessica long enough? 

Yeah, he told me he sorely regretted having called you a . But he also confessed that when he slammed your hand on the table, he also badly wanted to take you right there on the table too. Yeah, being the sapioual that he is, Yixing was for you from the get-go. Possibly from the very moment he laid eyes on you as the smartest girl in E.P. or when you uttered your first witty remark. I dunno. Whatever rocks his boat man. 

And by the time he broke off with Jessica, he's already formed a friendship with you. So he carried on suppressing his feelings with other distractions, more meaningless flings as he continued staying close to you as a friend. Cause he's masochistic like that. I'll never be able to do that man. Pretend to be platonic friend with the one girl I can never have, just so I can continue to be in her presence. Pretending to be cool about you and Siwon when his jealousy was eating him away. Pure torture if you ask me! Did you realise that after he met you, he never committed into anymore relationships since Jessica? Only flings and one-night stands. That's cause he was emotionally unavailable to date anyone else. His heart was already with you! I've seen the way Yixing looks at you. Poor kid was besotted with you! But anyways, Yixing kept his one-sided attraction to himself as he didn't think the feeling was mutual. That was untill you kissed him back at The Slam? He signed up for The Slam because of you by the way. You had no idea how ecstatic he was when he thought you may have had feelings for him too? I guess that's when he got the courage to make his move and confess he's fallen for you?"

"He... never told me any of this..."

"Well, to be fair. I think initially his attraction for you started as pure lust, it was only later as the two of spent more time together and as he got to know you better, he started forming real feelings for you. So I guess he couldn't possibly confessed that to you? That his was attracted to you first then came his heart? Also he can't possibly admit to you that he's been infatuated with you upon first sight? That's so cheesy. And creepy, no?"

I don't know. I'm kinda flattered and it's so... swoon-worthy? Yixing's been secretly in love with me since he first met me? Love at first sight? Like in the movies?

Wow. I had no idea Yixing's feelings for me were that deep. Alright, I've got the date set. I'm ready. I'm ready to give Yixing my answer.
