“Where are you taking me?” You asked, unsure of where he was leading you because heck, he had blindfolded you with an intention you didn’t know about. Earlier on today, it was having lunch together with some friends and then dinner with his parents along with your parents at your old home. It was a definitely fun thing to do but after that, Taehyun decided he has more in store. As he drove the both of you ‘home’, he decided to not drive the both of you home as he has another place in mind.

“Is something wrong?” You asked worriedly, turning your head to look at him as he pulled over to the side of the road. There were rarely any cars around, too. He turned to look at you with a smile, one, in which would always make your heart flutter. There was this tinge behind his smile, though. You just couldn’t put it together as you stared at him, “Why are you smiling like that?”

He leaned over towards you and used a hand to tuck strands of your hair behind your ear. Your eyes followed his movements and regardless of how suspicious he was, you couldn’t help but allow him to do so – it’s been a while since the both of you could just sit down and appreciate one another.

In the midst of silence, he rested his hand on your cheek, his eyes staring right into yours. You knew he was going to ask for a favor – or something. That look on his face says it all.

“Can I blindfold you?”

Your eyes widened at his certain, specific request. Blindfold? At night? What for?

You continued staring at him with furrowed eyebrows – he knew you were curious and suspicious, too. However, he reached over to cup both of your cheeks with his larger hands. He made you face him and your body turned slightly to face him properly. He offered you a warm smile with that handsome look he had, “You can trust me.”

You placed one of your hands on top of his on your cheek, your thumb rubbing the side of his hand, “This isn’t a prank, right?”

He threw you an incredulous look, “On Christmas?”

You replied him nervously, “Y-You may never know!”

He couldn’t help but laugh on how cautious you were – it was one of the characteristics that had him falling for you, anyway. It was just so endearing of you to be so careful and such. He held your face in his hands, “Will I ever prank you? Have I ever done it before?”

You couldn’t help but notice how true his words were. As playful as Taehyun could get, he has never played a prank on you before. You then gave in with a small nod, your hand holding onto his by your cheek, “Okay.”

“You’ll see.” He spoke softly, his hand holding onto yours as he led you the way. You could roughly hear cars passing by along with light car honks here and there. There were also voices of people walking by – were you by the sidewalk?

“Are we by the sidewalk of somewhere?”

He snickered, loving being able to keep you in this situation, “Maybe…?”

You squeezed his hand with a huff, “Tae…”

“Yes, yes. We’re by the sidewalk of… somewhere.”
