Maknae, cute,smart,talented, beautiful, Seobaby. This is how fans see her. Not only the fans but everybody sees her like a very good girl. During their last comeback, fans will comment how hot her unnies are while the comments about her is how she has grown up or something like maknae is cute and beautiful. She is thankful to the fans for the love and compliment they give. But she wanted to be seen as something else. Something different from her good girl image. Something like badass… (Badass seem so far fetch. I don’t think I can be like CL the baddest female) or something like y. (Yes, definitely hot and y!)

She tried reading books and applying what she has read but it all turn out to be awkward. Sometimes her unnies will ask her what she was doing or whether she was alright. Why can’t she be a natural like her unnies. She thought of asking her unnies…who?

She looked at her unnies who are watching tv in a not so idol like manner. (if manager oppa sees us, he will definitely scold us. Wait, he already gave up on us) Seohyun scratch that idea. Her unnies treat her as the maknae. And..no just no. she won’t ask her unnies. Maybe she could consider other idols. One by one, she lists names she can think off… she strike each and every name she has written. (Maybe I should just ask unnies help.) She glanced at them again and saw their chaotic state. (If only the fans can see them… they will not take us seriously)She heaved a sigh. She was about to give up her plan… Then she saw artists’ comeback news on tv. Just like that. Seohyun had her hopes back up. She definitely knows who to ask.

She stood up going to her room to make a call. She was definitely not gonna waste any time. Someone called her asking where she was going. She replied that she was going to her room without bothering to look back at the person who asked her. After an hour of contemplating, she finally made the call.

“Yoboseyo”… the person answered.

“Hello…..Hyomin Unnie…”

The next day, she went out to her ‘appointment’. She did not want to waste any more time. She was glad that the idol was having a break before in the midst of her comeback preparation and agreed to meet her the next day. The café is not crowded and customers can have some privacy. She entered the café and immediately saw the idol she wanted to see. She gave Seohyun a small wave to which Seohyun find attractive. She thought that she definitely made the right choice.

“Unnie, thank you for meeting me. Have you waited that long?”

“Hello Seohyun. No I didn’t.”

The two have said their small greetings and chatted for a while. It made Seohyun less nervous. She don’t know how to say it. Hyomin took notice. So she started to ask.

“Do you have something to ask me?

“Actually…I do. Please promise me that you will not tell anyone. Nor even laugh.”

“…I promise not to tell anyone. And try not to laugh.”

“Unnie…”

“I can’t control laughter…Okay. I promise not to laugh.”

“I…” She faked a cough. Looked around. To Hyomin, it was a cute gesture. “I wanted to be seen as y and hot. I am tired of my good girl cute image. Taetiseo is having a comeback and I wanted to give fans a different Seohyun. I saw you and Jiyeon on the news about you having a solo comeback. So I thought of you, Unnie, that you can help me have a different image. That is why I called you and meet you today.”

Hyomin was listening intently. She was not sure of what she heard was right but Seohyun seems to be serious. She actually don’t know what to say…

“Seohyun, being the maknae is not a bad thing. It is actually one of your charms. Besides if you wanted to change your image or to be seen as a hot idol, I don’t see you needing my help. You already have it in you.” Hyomin try to choose her words carefully.

“Unnie, I do need your help. I tried reading books and applying what I’ve read but I just end up being awkward. Will you teach me unnie?”

“Don’t you have Yuri? She is in charge of the y image? Or ask your other unnies?”

“No,  I never intended to ask my unnies.”

Hyomin was shock and was confuse as to why Seohyun will not ask her GG unnies. They can handle that so easily. Not that Seohyun needs help anyways. The GG maknae is charming and attractive. She has grown up. She has a nice and hot figure. She doesn’t see the point in Seohyun asking for her help. Seohyun was aware that Hyomin was thinking twice. So she gave her a piece of paper.    

Yuri unnie is……a kkab. So no! I will not ask for her help.

Taeyeon unnie…no. She is a kid leader and a dork.

Fany unnie..is like a manager and a mom. I asked her once if I became mature, she just said that I was cute.. so not asking unnie.

Sica unnie is lazy. She might just teach me in her sleep…

Hyo unnie, Soo unnie, Yoona unnie.  Never consider these chodings.

Sunny unnie…is just full of aegyo.

Hyomin could not help but laugh. She find the comments funny. She look up to Seohyun.

“Okay.” She does not know what else she can teach the girl. She will just try to remember the lessons she have with T-ara’s choreographer. Honestly, outside the stage, she does not know how to be y. She remembers how the Choreo unnie almost give up on teaching them the right move and attitude for the dance. Well maybe I can take this as a practice for my comeback. I mean I know I will have a y concept…again. Maybe I can pick up a few things from Seohyun.

“Great! Thank Unnie.” Seohyun  placed the books from her bag to the table. Amused, Hyomin pick one of the books and start flipping the pages and reading a random page.

“Seohyun. You should know that I am not good at this. I mean we have a choreographer who teach us the dance moves. I might just disappoint you.” Hyomin said. hoping to talk some sense to Seohyun.

“Unnie, you won’t disappoint me. T-ara exudes the characteristic I am looking onstage or offstage. You are all mature, hot and beautiful. I have watched your videos performances and some of your guesting. So unnie, I know you can do it, please help me”

“You really prepared that much huh? How can I say no” Hyomin resigned knowing that this may not end well.

Laughter filled the booth where they were. They decided to follow one of Seohyun’s book as a guide. They were trying the ‘how to give the y look’. The book gave some tips which both tried to follow.

“Unnie, you look funny.” Seohyun said while laughing. Hyomin tried another, which just earned another laugh from the other. Seohyun gave it a try and she nailed it. Hyomin gave her thumbs up. A waiter came in and gave them a refill for their tea with new the cakes they ordered.

“Unnie, didn’t you teach Jiyeon before?” She asked while eating the cake she shares with Hyomin.

“Haha..That was a long time ago. We were both hopeless..” Hyomin replied before sipping her tea. She reminisced during the time when they have struggled so bad in preparing for IGCBY.

“T-ara is different to GG. I sometimes wish we had your songs.”

Hyomin had an idea. Why not just teach Seohyun their dance. It would be easier for the both of them. She told the GG maknae her idea to which Seohyun gladly agrees. They agreed to meet at Hyomin’s house instead of T-ara’s dorm because Seohyun feels shy around the others. Though their session for the day has ended, both girls decided to stay and have lunch together. It was not awkward. They talked about anything.

Days passed and Seohyun will always hang out at Hyomin’s house. Sometimes they will meet at night after their schedules. It depends on each of their availability. If both are too tired, they will just spend their time chatting or eating together. Both have been close with each other that they will openly tease on another. Hyomin will tease how Seohyun shrieks the first time she danced Hyomin’s part in IGCBY and Cry Cry. Seohyun was able to finish the dance for y Love saying it was more subtle dance. The rest of GG was noticing how Seohyun always go out everyday. Usually the maknae stays at the dorm if she has no schedule. One time they all ask her but they got no satisfying answer from the maknae. Both the girls didn’t tell their member that they were hanging out. They don’t see the point. There is nothing wrong. They didn’t talk about it; it was just an unspoken agreement between them. It is like it is their secret rendezvous.  

“How is the preparation for you solo?” Seohyun ask. They were having early dinner together after. Hyomin just finished her meeting.

“We already chose a song. I am a bit worried about the song choice though. I told you the concept before. The song that is going to be released is Nice Body.” Hyomin sang the song upon Seohyun’s request. She does not see anything wrong with it. Besides, Seohyun knows what is happening to her album preparations. Jiyeon and her T-ara unnies already heard the song.

“I like Fake It and Overcome more. But I see why they chose this Song. The title catches attention. And it is just trying to say to the world that you have a nice body.”

“Since when did you learn how to sugarcoat?”

“After hanging out with you unnie. Haha. Seriously unnie, only you can handle that song well. Seohyun said sincerely.

“I thought you said I am a dork and don’t know how to be y…”

“Unnie, you are a dork. And you don’t know how to be y. You were right when you told me that you were not good at this.”

“Yah!” “I told you but you won’t listen to me. You would have saved yourself from being disappointed”

“I should have just listened to you. But I don’t have any regrets nor am I disappointed. Because I get to know unnie and hang out with unnie.”

“You don’t have to beat around the bush just to hang out with me. You could have just asked me out.” Hyomin teased and both laugh. Laughters and chats filled the room until Seohyun was reminded of a premier they were about to attend. It was not like Seohyun to forget about her schedule. Hyomin offered to drive her to her dorm which is faster.

“Seobaby, where were you? Did you forget about our schedule?” Tiffany asked.

“Sorry Unnie, I forgot.”

“This is not like you.” Taeyeon joined.

“Sorry. I was just caught up hanging out with a friend that I lose track of time.”

“It’s ok. Just don’t let it happen again.” Says Taeyeon.

“Neh”

“This friend….” Tae started.

“Unnie, I need to get ready for our schedule.” She rushed to her room. The rest of the girls saw this and now are very suspicious of the maknae’s action. Their radar says that the maknae is definitely hiding something.  Sadly no matter what tactics they use, they still can’t break into the maknae.

Taetiseo had a comeback. T-ara was also promoting Sugar Free.

“You look hot.”

Seohyun smiled knowing who it was. She looked at her and she knows that she meant it. “Thank unnie.”

“I guess you really took your lesson seriously.”

“I had a great teacher….”

“Bruno Mars!” Both said at the same time and giggled.

Flashback

“Unnie, you are just as hopeless as my GG unnies.” Seohyun said after she calm down from laughing. They were at Hyomin’s house where Hyo was sharing her stories about how her choreographer scolded her and almost give up.

“I told you, you don’t need my help.”

“I just wanted them to see me not just as Seohyun the maknae. Maybe if a change, they can love me more.”

“Just be yourself.” She looked at Seohyun then continued, “I like you just the way you are. You don’t have change anything……I am sure, they will love you for who you are.”

Both girls were smiling. Both a bit red. Both had their heads down pretending to eat because both wanted to hide their blush.

Back to present

“Since when did the two become close?”

“When did they start hanging out?”

“I thought Hyo was busy with her solo and T-ara comeback?”

“I didn’t see this coming”

“No one ever did”

“I guess she is no longer my byunpoong..”

T-ara and SNSD, who came to support TTS, were trying to figure out about the Hyomin and Seohyun. They can see that there is definitely something more going on between them. Something that might have started before. They tried to piece all the evidence they have.. not aware that couple they are talking about were listening to them. When they noticed the two, they bombarded them with questions. Hyomin and Seohyun were just smiling side by side with their hands at the back..holding each other.
