“Conversations” / (Thoughts)

PROBLEM

Both Hyomin & Qri are in a van going to their schedule for Mnet Scandal. The show is about idols going on dates with normal guys. They left the dorm not sure of their feelings. Nervous, anxious, excited??

Hyomin: “Jiyeon seems to be mad or something.” Qri gave her a questioning look. “I think she wants to be in this program too. She is still young to go on dates. And she is busy.”

Qri: “Don’t stress about it Hyomin. Talk to her later.” (It’s interesting on how you always look after Jiyeon.)

After our shoot, they went back to the dorm where the rest of the girls are waiting for their stories.

Hyomin: “Oh Eunjung unnie, the guy I am partnered with is a huge fan of you. Maybe you can give him a message?”

Qri: “Yes, he was. But Hyomin seems determined to change his heart… He seems to start to like Hyomin.”

Eunjung: “Jinja? Should i?” asking no one in particular. In the end she decided to give a message.

Jiyeon stood up and said she was sleepy. Hyomin has a worried look. Then she follow Jiyeon saying she will sleep too. Qri has this look in her face while she was watching the two maknae. This doesn’t go unnoticed to Boram who just gave Qri a you-should-tell-me look. Soyeon noticed this too and gave them both the same look. Only Eunjung didn’t seem to notice the conversation that was happening between her unnies.

Hyomin: “Jiyeonie, are you mad?” She asked her once inside their room.

Jiyeon: “No unnie. Why do you think so?”

Hyomin: “I thought you were mad because you wanted to be in this program. But Jiyeonie you are still young to go on dates even if it is a fake date.”

Jiyeon: “I got it unnie. Plus I want to go on real dates not fake ones.”

Hyomin: “I won’t allow you to go out with anyone else. You just have to settle for this unnie.” pointing at herself.

Both giggle and said out goodnights and sleep.

OBSERVATION

Another Day Inside Hyo & ji’s room

Hyomin: “Jiyeonnie…” ( She seems mad. Why? What did I do? Oh I got it!). “Jiyeonnie, did I do something?” No reply. “I think I know. You are mad because I ask Eunjung to go with our date? Sorry but it was just fan service.”

Jiyeon: “Fan service?”  (So what Hyomin unnie did was just fan service and for the show. This clear this clear things up. Felt a lot better.)

Hyomin: (So I was right. She only cares about Eunjung…) “Neh just fan service and for the program.” Jiyeon nods and sleeps. (Jiyeon only cares about her Eunjung unnie. They are close. But we are roommates. In a program, I remember she chose Eunjung over me. I was hurt. Why do I bother so much? I just wanted to be close to her too.)

In another room Qri Boram and Soyeon were talking. Eunjung has a schedule and she hasn’t return yet.

Boram: Seems like there is something happening between them.

Qri: They both seem fine this morning. But at night there seem to be something wrong.

Soyeon: But we can’t confirm it yet. We just have speculation. Let’s observe.

The three unnies now have their new favorite past time. Eunminyeon. The are interested what is happening between the three. At first, everyone was sure on Eunyeon. And that Hyomin just wants to be close with her roommate. But lately Jiyeon seems to be acting strange especially when it involves Hyomin. There has been no conclusion drawn yet. But it is interesting.

HYPOTHESIS

Hyomin & Jiyeon got close but Hyomin knows that Eunjung and Jiyeon has something more special. She feel jealous about it. Even Jiyeon confirmed it on a program where both of them were guests. Hyomin was a bit hurt though they all thought it was for the show. As for Jiyeon, she likes her growing closeness with Hyomin. But saying that she is closer to Eunjung seems more natural expecially that she always stick with Eunjung. And also the fact that Hyomin has her Sunny. Hyomin became part of Invincible Youth where she got to know other female idols and be friends with them. She became really close to Sunny. Sunbyung is becoming  famous now.

Eunjung came as a guest in IY. They were sharing stories with the other girls.

Eunjung:  “Ji, why so quiet?”

Soyeon: “She’s jealous.” Everyone looked at Soyeon. Qri and Boram has this you slipped look. Hyomin and Eunjung has this please continue to explain look. Jiyeon who was a bit red glared at her.

Jiyeon: “Am not!”

Qri: “You totally are.” Qri agreeing to Soyeon who both giggled.

Eunjung: “Our maknae... Don’t worry next time you will guest on that show. But you have to clear your schedule though.” She said while hugging the maknae.

This does not go unnoticed from QBS. They think the saw something that will help them draw a conclusion. All because of Eunjung who of course has no knowledge of the impact she just made.

TESTING HYPOTHESIS & EXPERIMENTATION

Jiyeon was ecstatic when she learns that she will be cast of Heroes. She is so happy everytime she comes home and share her stories with her unnies. She has gotten close with IU and In young unnie. Everyone was happy for her.

Hyomin: (But why do I feel like she is still looking for something. Like she is looking for something.. maybe I think too much. I care for her too much and forget that she has grown up. Yes, she seems to be mature now.)

Eunjung has been casted on We got Married which also played an important part with QBS observation. QBSHE already made plans on how to cheer up our Dino if ever she gets upset about Eunjung being on WGM. To everyone’s surprise Jiyeon was pretty ok and calm about it.  

QBS headquarters (Qri and Boram’s room or Soyeon and Eunjung’s room where Eunjung is not around)

Qri: “Hyomin seems to care so much about Ji.” The two gave her a duh face. “I mean she was kinda restless everytime  she thinks Ji was mad at her.”

Soyeon: “That’s old news. We all know how Hyomin can be oblivious even to her own feelings. She can’t see her growing feelings for Jiyeon. That it is not just the simple being close roommate..”

Boram: “And Jiyeon doesn’t know how to handle her own feelings that she ended up sending mixed signals.”

Qri: “it’s really obvious that she likes Hyomin and Hyomin likes her back.”

Soyeon: “Hyomin believes that Jiyeon only sees Eunjung. While Jiyeon thinks that Hyo only thinks about Sunny. She even tried to make her jealous by sharing stories about IU.”

Boram: “But she only saw a supportive Hyomin unnie. It was funny seeing her trying to hide her disappointed expression.”

Qri: “Eunjungie was supposed to help us but she tends to do worse. That clueless sleepy bear.”

Boram: “Oh don’t forget that same clueless sleepy bear did help a lot on confirming our minyeon hypothesis. But she is clueless.”

Qri: “True but that is what I like about her.” They all smiled knowingly.

Boram: “I remember how Jiyeon keep muttering under her breathe while watching Mnet scandal. Like how dare he touch her, how dare he try to hug her. Or why did unnie gave him another chance? Why unnie gave him her email?”

Qri: “Yet all the time Hyomin thought it was because the guy has a crush on Eunjung.”

Soyeon: “How about IY days, Hyomin kept talking about Sunny. I swear Ji was morphing into a dinosaur.”

Qri: “I bet our clueless Hyo thinks it’s because Ji wanted to meet Sunny.”

Boram: “Oh come on. How about when we saw Jiyeon being totally calm with Eunjung being on WGM. And the exact opposite when Hyomin was casted on China WGM.”

Soyeon: “At least we get to use the ‘make Dino happy’ operation we prepared when Eunjung was casted on WGM.”

Qri: “Yeah. I thought it was all going to a waste. But no, thanks to Hyo.”

PROBLEM SOLVING

EQBS were observing the two lovey dovey maknaes. These two are still unaware of their feelings for each other. They may feel it but they don’t want to assume. Then they will put it aside and just pretend to be contented with what they have. When in truth they are longing for something more. Yes, Eunjung is now aware of the two. Her suspision grew when Jiyeon was very upset when Hyomin was cated on WGM. Eunjung approached Qri about her observation about Hyo and Ji. Qri has just said that she was slow and that was old news. QBS fill her up with their whole Minyeon experiment. Eunjung was more than willing to help.

They were promoting Cry Cry. Hyomin being the leader was aware of the members’ condition. She knows that everyone was overworked especially Jiyeon who has her personal activities. She takes care of each member but for Jiyeon it is always a little more. She is always discreet on showing her care for Jiyeon. She doesn’t want to be obvious. One time it was caught on camera how her expression was distraught. And it was explained that it was because she cared for Jiyeon.

Hyomin: (Oh my!! Why do I have to be so obvious?! Now, everyone knows! What about Ji?) She enters the room and there Jiyeon was asleep. She thought so..

Jiyeon: “Unnie, you are back.”

Hyomin: “Oh you are still awake? I thought you were sleeping. You should rest, Ji”

Jiyeon: “Neh. Thanks unnie for caring so much about me.” (I am so happy knowing how you feel about me. I heard it from Eunjung unnie while she was talking with QBS unnie. Thanks t Eunjung unnie for being loud and honest. I get to know our feelings for each other. I am so happy unnie. Though I don’t know how to say it. I wish you would rather confess. Maybe I should?)

Hyomin: “Ji, you know I care about you a lot. And rest. Don’t try to think, save your energy.” She sat in Jiyeon’s bed trying to make the girl sleeps.

Jiyeon: “Thanks, I love you unnie” She hugged Hyomin hoping that Hyomin will feel her love. Both of them were blushing. Both of their hearts were beating so fast.

Hyomin: “I love you too Ji” (I really really love you. I wish I can just tell you how I really feel.) She said while still hugging Jiyeon.

Jiyeon: (No unnie!! I mean it!! I love you! For the longest time! I just at expressing my myself just like you unnie. I love you! I wish you can see it, feel it, admit it.) Jiyeon release the hug and kissed Hyomin on the lips.

Hyomin’s face was shock and bright red as well. She don’t know what to say or what to think. Jiyeon smiled at her. Hyomin smiled back. No words are needed to be said. Just with the smile, it’s all they need to finally understand.

CONCLUSION

T-ara Dorm

Hyomin and Jiyeon are always together being sweet after that night. One day they said that they have something to announce. The unnies already know about what they wanted to announce but they didn’t say anything. Instead they planned a surprise congratulatory party for the two.

Jiyeon: “Unnies, I, I mean we, have something to tell you.” She looked at Hyomin. Both are holding hands.

Hyomin: “Jiyeon and I are…together.”

Silence

“Duh” “We know before you two even admit it to yourself” “That’s old news” “That’s it?”

Hyomin: “Huh? How? You are ok with it?”

Jiyeon who heard the unnies conversation before just smiled and said thank you.

Soyeon: “Of course we are ok with it. We were all rooting for the two of you.” Then came the other unnies with a cake

“Let’s celebrate!!” Everyone laughed at especially when the unnies shared their side of the story.

QBS headquarters (QB’s room. Eunjung was already asleep)

Qri: “Well we did a great job!” All three high fived.

Boram: “Well we have to acknowledge Eunjung and her great contribution.” She said while laughing and the other two laughed as well.

Soyeon: “Though she was clueless as ever. Nice thinking Qri.”

Qri: “I saw Jiyeon was listening to our conversation while trying to hide herself. Knowing Eunjung, she will just talk her mind when we ask her. She has loud voice so I am sure Jiyeon was going to hear it.” Qri remembered that night after the Cry Cry incident. That time Boram and Soyeon were able to catch her drift and ride along.

They were all pleased the next day when they saw Hyomin and Jiyeon. Though Minyeon weren’t official yet they knew that they did a great job and that the conclusion was very clear that soon they will be official. Just by seeing the smile on their faces and the look in their eyes, they already knew. Sometimes, it is best when you say nothing at all.
