This is an exciting time of the year! Waeyo? Hyomin’s comeback… the Mango teaser is just wow! Then SNSD released a song Lil Touch and then Sunmi has a new song Siren. Ahhhhhhhh…screaming and running!!! My crazy imagination is at it again!

Lately, I am into Blackpink. I like Lisa. I am into Jenlisa. I am giddy with Chaelisa. And Lisoo is just special.

In my crazy world, there is a parallel between these two generation of girl groups.

Hyomin – Lisa

Jennie – Sica

Chaeyong – Fany

Jisoo – Soyeon

“Are you sure this is the place?” Their manager asked once she parked in front of an old quiet building.

The other members looked at her also unsure if she got the right address. Their looks only make her more unsure but she faked it and nodded, “Yes.”

“Are you sure, Lisa?” Jennie asked. She knows when the other girl is lying or unsure or well she knows Lisa very well.

“Neh, unnie.” Lisa answered reassuringly. She just got a confirmation that they are in the right place.

“Arasso.” Jennie sigh because of the ‘unnie’. How she badly wanted to get rid of the word ‘unnie’ in the younger Thai’s vocabulary.

They went inside the building with a lot of reminder from their manager. As soon as they went in, they got shock. Outside, it looked so ordinary and old but inside, it was glamorous and lively. What shocked them more was that all other girl groups were there. They were all starstruck to see the older generations talking so causally to others like it was a normal thing. All members were thinking whether they have been living under a rock to not know this.

Equally, the others were shocked to see Blackpink in the area. They knew that their agency is really strict. They don’t easily let their idols join variety shows. That even YG managers are strict to even letting their idols go out alone. This is an exclusive of the most exclusive event that even managers are not allowed. Strictly girl idols alone and it was only by invitation. No one is allowed to post about it in social media or to even talk about it outside. Don’t get the wrong idea, its not like they don’t like the newcomers, it’s just that it shocked the hell out of them.

Feeling uncomfortable with all the stares, someone greeted them. “I’m glad you made it. And you ivited everyone! Hello! It is nice to meet you.” Still a bit shocked but they all greeted back. Even Lisa who have met the older idol earlier was still in state of shock. “Come here. I’m sure everyone is excited to see you.”

And sure did, everyone recovered from their shock and went on to what they were previously doing. Red Velvet and Twice, being their close friend went to greet them.  

“Hyomin Unnie!” Lisa called when she saw the girl who greeted them was leaving.

“Wae?” Hyomin stopped. She figured that maybe she should leave the younger ones alone.

 Lisa thanked Hyomin for inviting her.

Flashback

Earlier she and Jisoo were shopping. Lisa saw a camera shop and automatically went inside despite Jisoo’s protest. Lisa was roaming around excitedly with Jisoo following behind. She knew that she couldn’t stop Lisa knowing the younger ones passion for camera.

“Don’t you think you already have too much? You already got way too many cameras. All they do is one thing and that is take pictures.” Someone nagged.

This caught Lisa and Jisoo’s attention. Jisoo was nodding her head sharing the same sentiment as the person who said that. “See I told you.” Jisoo said to Lisa.

Then they heard another girl responded explaining how each camera has its own use. (don’t know much about camera but hope you get it). This time it was Lisa who was nodding her head sharing the sentiment of the other. “That is exactly my point Unnie” Lisa said to Jisoo.

Lisoo arguing caught the attention of the 2 women who were originally arguing. They ended up watching Lisoo, which they recognized.

“Mianhe” Lisoo quickly apologized as soon as they realized that they were being watched. Instead the 2 women just laughed seeing their own antics at the 2 younger idols. Lisoo felt more embarrassed when they realized who the 2 women were Hyomin and Soyeon. “Mianhe”

They 4 ended up hanging out with Hyomin and Lisa bonding over photography. Jisoo and Soyeon will talk more about how silly the 2 can be. Before they parted, Hyomin invited them to the exclusive gathering to which the 2 gladly accept. “No cameras. No post on any social media.”

“You know, somehow I see a bit of you in Lisa.” Soyeon said as soon as the younger idols left.

“Jinja? That’s weird because I feel a similar vibe from Jisoo and you.” Hyomin said.

Soyeon nodded. “Yeah, I feel like you are both troublemakers who give us lots of headache.”

“Yah!”

End of Flashback

Lisa felt someone was staring at her. It was different from the glare that Jennie gives her. This time it feels cold, no, it feels icy. She looks back and saw Jessica Jung staring at her while sitting comfortably with SNSD. Hyomin went to look at the direction were Lisa was looking and smiled. Soon Jessica’s aura shifted from an icy cold glare to a sweet smile. Lisa saw this bipolar shift and it reminder her too well of Jennie.  

“Not everything in the news is true.” Hyomin said thinking that Lisa was confused on why Sica was with her former bandmates.

Lisa nodded.

“Relax and enjoy. The industry we are in is already stressful. At least tonight let’s be ourselves and enjoy.” Hyomin chimed.

Hyomin introduced her to the rest of T-ara and Lisa was way too excited as she was a fan of T-ara. She also got to meet SNSD, KARA, G7 from IY and other girl groups.

Lisa was getting a drink when she felt uncomfortable. The same feeling she felt earlier when she saw Jessica Jung glaring at her. Shoot, the Jessica Jung was walking towards her. Lisa looked back and to her side. She was alone. Lisa gulps feeling scared is an understatement.

“Do you like Hyomin?” Jessica asked straight to the point.

Slightly taken aback with the question and what was happening, it took the Thai idol a few seconds to process it. “Ani, I am a huge fan of Hyomin Unnie, of T-ara… and also SNSD.” Lisa added thinking that it might help ease the ice princess.

Sica still not satisfied, kept her stoic expression but chills are sent to your bones. “Look if you like Hyomin and…”

“What? Aniyo.” Lisa said immediately still slightly confuse. “I mean Hyomin Unnie is beautiful, hot and y but I do not see her that way In fact I ship Minyeon.” Lisa finished with a proud smile thinking that what she said was the right thing to say.

But…

We all know that there is a but…and that but is not good…even for Lisa’s sake.

“You what?” Sica asked sternly. “Look Minyeon are sisters ok. Do not get the wrong idea with their closeness. Arasso?”

Scared for her life, Lisa nodded.

From a few distance, a certain Jennie Kim saw how close and intense was the conversation between Lisa and Jessica. Not liking it, she walked up to them. “What are you talking about?” She asked without caring to hide her sass.

Sica looked at her with one eyebrow raised. “Nothing.”

Jennie does not like it. She is respectful to her sunbaes especially if it was one of the legendary girl groups.

“Jennie Unnie.” Lisa called which only added to the irk that Jennie was feeling. She glared at Lisa. “It was nothing. Sica Unnie was only explaining something to me.”

“Sica Unnie?!” Jennie asked with clear irritation because the way Lisa called Jessica.

Jessica did say to call her Sica Unnie after she mmade everything clear to Lisa.

“Neh….?” Lisa answered unsure why her answer was not correct.

Jennie sighed. “Lisa, can you please save my seat? I’m afraid someone might took it.” Jennie asked. 

Lisa got the message clearly but was unsure if it was right to leave angry Jennie with Jessica Jung. Jessica is scary but angry Jennie knows no one. Having no choice, Lisa followed Jennie’s request. She knew better than to question Jennie.

“Unnie, what did you say to Lisa?” Jennie started.

“Wae?” Sica challenged.

“I don’t like how close you were. Keep your safe distance.” Jennie advised.

Sica laughed. She like how Jennie is straightforward like her. “Don’t worry I am not into her. She’s yours…unless you got competition…or competitions.” Sica said and pointed the direction where Lisa was sitting.

Jennie blushed when Sica said ‘she’s yours’ part but her blod boiled how on point it was that she did have lots of competitions. She looked at the direction and saw that Lisa was indeed saving her seat but she was not alone. She was having a conversation with Tzuyu. Tzuyu who never talked to anyne outside of her group is now chatting and giggling with Lisa. If it was not Lisa, the scene would have been adorable for Jennie.

Sica smirked seeing how Jennie gets easily jealous. However, her smirked was wiped off when she saw Hyomin was talking with Nana.

“Omo, the two of you do look alike.” Someone said to which everyone agrees. They were referring to SinB and Sica.

“Sinb also looks a bit like Hyomin.” Someone mentioned. Now the three were standing next to each other and they were commenting how they look similar.

“Well, you know when people say that you tend to look alike when you like each other. Some married couples tend to look alike. I guess we do look like a happy family.” Sica declared boldly.

“Your last name is Hwang right? I guess you took my last name.” Fany said and went beside Hyomin and hugged her. “I didn’t know that I you will take my family name.” Fany teased as if declaring that they are the real family.

Poor Sinb being stuck in the middle of family war.

“Fany?! You’re here! I thought you were busy in US?” Hyomin greeted Fany with a hug.

Tifanny Hwang did just arrived unannounced. And yes, she went straight to this event. Again yes, she did went straight next to Hyomin’s side.

On the other side… Soyeon is seeing again an all too familiar scene. It was great that they all went to enjoy the music and started dancing. Whoever played the music was an angel in disguise for Soyeon.

Lisa and Hyomin were chatting again. No one joins them it was as if they were left alone. It was as if there was an agreement among all parties to let them be. It was all ok until…

Until Sunmi arrive and went to join Lisa and Hyomin. She kissed Lisa on the cheeks. She kissed Hyomin on the cheeks, a bit longer this time. Just with one action… which could be a simple greeting…but we all know it was no simple chaste greeting… alarmed almost everyone in the room.

Alarm is an understatement.

It was on the verge of chaos.

Chaeyong who has been nothing but a sweetheart all this time. Despite seeing the other girls gawking and flirting with Lisa, she remained the sweet Chaeyong. That was until someone dared to kiss Lisa. Lisa is Blackpink's property. Well it should be hers only but Jennie can be possessive too. No other girl groups member or idol is allowed to kiss Lisa even on the cheeks. Sweet Chaeyong has left the building.

There was a sudden change in atmosphere. Others knew the reason why but other do not. You cannot say that those who knew were lucky because maybe they weren’t.

Why would you ever consider yourself lucky when it feels like the world is about to crumble.

Cold Chaeyong.

Furious Fany.

Jealous Jennie.

Scary Sica.

Jisoo and Soyeon looked at each other. They knew that they have the responsibility to pacify the situation. The fate of these idols are at their hands. For the sake of the KPOP industry, they have to do something.

Jisoo went to the stage and does her MC magic with Soyeon. They somehow managed to draw the attention of everyone with an impromptu program. They invited idols to the stage to dance their hits. It was a success as the atmosphere became calm again.

“Thank you.” Soyeon said as if Jisoo saved her life and the life of humanity.

“No, thank you Unnie.” Jisoo said feeling the same way.

Both of them realized their role to the troublemakers. It was not by choice but it’s their responsibility.

“Hyomin is not of a big troublemaker but the situation and the women around her does make her one.” Soyeon said.

“Well Lisa can be a real troublemaker in the group and still her charisma does not help.” Jisoo said as if exchanging notes.

“Imagine if almost all members in a girl group is into this girl. It is a good thing that none of T-ara is into Hyomin.”

“Well, Jennie and Chaeyong are into Lisa so that alone is major headache.”

"Lisa has this Oppa charm. She is swag and sweet but she is like a kid."

"Hyomin has this hot and y charm but she is a major weird dork."

“Hyomin can be so dense. She has improved though.”

“Lisa is still dense.”

“Lisa goes around kissing our cheeks even in public.”

“I guess it is great that Hyomin does not do that.”

“Hyomin is weird.”

“So is Lisa”

“I don’t really get what they see in her.” Soyeon and Jisoo said at the same time making them laugh. Of course they knew the reason why these girls are so into Lisa and Hyomin but for them these two are nothing but headache.
