The Yehet ProjectThe ride back to my house was silent. I stared out the window, clinging on tight to Sehun’s jacket because that was all I felt I had of him.
But when he stopped in front of my house, I saw two cars: one from my mom, one from my dad. Yoona’s car was gone. I heard yelling and shouting from the inside and knew that this was no time to come home.
“Yoojung? What’s wrong?” Sehun asked me.
I looked at my hands in disbelief. “I have nowhere to go. I really have nowhere to go.”
Sehun peered over at the house and heard the yelling. At that instant, he knew exactly what I was talking about. He gently put his hand on my knee and said, “You have me.”
He stayed there with me, just the two of us sitting there in his car. The radio was playing in the background, a soft ballad or something. I hardly paid attention because I was too busy staring at Oh Sehun’s perfect face.
“What?” he asked me.
I smiled to myself before shyly looking away. “Nothing.” Then I said, “Can I ask you a question?”
“Shoot.”
“What made you like me? Even though you hardly even knew me?”
