  "Promise we will always be together? Forever?"

  Jonghyun's lips curled into a smile as he stared straight into my eyes. "Of course and I'll never forget you. I promise." He held out his pinky to me and I lightly wrapped mine around his.

  "You better not forget about me."

  "I won't." He lets go. "I'll see you tomorrow at school. It's going to be your first day in high school."

  I nodded confidently. "Mm! I 'm really excited." I smile.

  He smiled back and ran up to his car. It was raining and he didn't have an umbrella. I could have loan him, but he refused. So I kept it beside me, waiting for my Unnie to pick me up. I watched as the car drove off, but it wasn't long until I heard screeching and loud bang. My heart pounded. I was hoping it wasn't Jonghyun that got in the crash.

  Without caring about the rain, I ran to where I heard the noise and found Jonghyun's car in the middle of the street, a huge dent on the side while the other car was just a few feet away, the driver unhurt but badly bruised.

  Many people stopped their cars and got out, calling the ambulance. I just stared in horror, seeing my best friend unconscience inside the car, blood dripping down his forehead. I felt hatred towards the man that hit them, but I didn't have the courage to come up to him. For some reason, I was glued to the ground, letting the rain drip on me.

  I started to cry, the tears flooding like crazy, but no one can see them with the rain. That's why I love it because it could hide all emotions and this one, I wanted to hide.

  In the distance, I could hear the sirens coming near and by that time, more people crowded around the accident, pulling me farther and farther away from him. Soon I couldn't see, but heard the sound of honking. I had no strength to move, but turned my head and found my Unnie. She didn't know what happened, but she could tell I was sad.

  She climbed out of the car and went right passed me, curious about the people. After a couple of minutes she came back, a hurt expression on her face and took me in a hug. "Mianhe, In Young." I hear her whisper in my ear.

  I didn't process anything. My eyes were blank and ears were shut. I couldn't move, not until I saw the ambulance leave with Jonghyun in it. I was forced to go in the car with Unnie, but I didn't talk to her. I didn't want to talk. I just wanted to see if he was okay. I wanted to see if he'll remember me...
