“Great job on that valve replacement krys, I owe you one” Jinri suddenly piped in happily, having her arms around the cardiologist. Krystal just nodded in response, exhaustion has finally hit her after being on a forty-eight hour shift. She was on her way out of the hospital when the pediatrician, Jinri, paged her for an emergency surgery.

“Sunyoung!” Jinri yelled while waving excitedly to the girl near the nurse station who was busily filling in on her charts

“Why aren't you even tired?” Krystal mumbled to herself when she see's the taller girl skipping her way towards Luna.

“You're in a hospital, Jinri” Victoria reprimanded the younger resident while shaking her head  at the childish antic of the resident, when she poked her tongue out at her.

“You look awful” Luna commented when she finally looked up from her chart and was faced right up to Krystal

“I still look better than you” the young resident shot back with a playful smirk on and laid her head down desk to rest.

“Soojung, what gift should I get for your sister’s wedding?” Luna then asked. When she remembered that she has a week to buy a present for the wedding.

“Give her anything you want” She snarled without looking up

Jessica, her older sister, is getting married next week. A big day for her sister she sighed. She remembered that day when her sister surprised her with the news. It was at their usual monthly sister bonding time, they’d have to set a date each month to see each other because of their busy schedule. Last time, she didn't even get to see her older sister for a year that was then they decided to make up some time for themselves to get together.

Her sister is the top neurosurgeon in the country while she was still an intern and waiting to pass her residency. Every time they meet her, Jessica would always be mentioned even when she was still in medschool, her sister was famous all around. She was acquainted with beauty and brains and how can they resist her especially when she recieved an Avery award at a very young age.

At first she liked it since her sister was one of the best, she felt proud. Till it got annoying, when everyone has to compare with her sister. She could even feel it when her parents would look at the two of them, they would always prefer Jessica and she’d have to keep on living under her shadow, until she comes up with something brilliant. It got worst when she heard that Jessica was dating their childhood friend who she had been secretly in love with but sadly she wasn’t the only one.

“Krys, let’s go for a drink after our shift tonight” Sulli recommended trying to cheer up her friend, knowing about her unrequited love with her childhood friend.

“how about you guys?” The tall cheerful girl asked the rest

“I can’t I’m on call, tonight” the oldest replied

“I have a date” Luna replied before leaving the group to make her rounds

“Let’s go for another round” Jinri complained, when she is being dragged out from the bar by the shorter girl.

“I still have work later, unlike you I have to start up at five in the morning for rounds” Soojung tugged the girl harder, walking towards the parking lot.

Krystal’s eyes grew when she witnessed a car crashed across the street, the loud roar of metals hitting each other echoed loudly that caught everyone's attention which also stopped the tall girl from complaining. Some of the watchers stood frozen, still in shocked of what they had witnessed.

In the other hand, Soojung quickly ran towards the scene, leaving the still petrified Jinri behind. She quickly dialed her phone and called for emergency, reporting the site of the accident. She could see the bright crimson blood splattered on the road which was reflected by the light. Pieces of metals and glass from the crash were spread through the road.

“Sulli!” She yelled that made the tall girl jolt in surprise and fastly approached the broken car

“Don't just stand there” She continued

She then noticed a body lying on the road and quickly ran towards it, she quickly examined the injuries of the person. He was bleeding heavily on the right leg, his pants had a few torns after having a rough contact with the road she infered. There was obvious skin tore and some part of the patella was showing

Her gaze transferrd to the wrecked motorcycle with it’s lights still flicking on and off, which was lying a few feet away from the person. She instinctively removed the helmet, to allow more airspace from him, slowly trying to support his neck. Which revealed a blonde haired man with feminine features, she could not help but stare at his face for awhile and the innocent expression that it has.

“the couple in the car are conscious but suffers some minor cuts on the head” Jinri checked taking her out of her daze

Soojung then checked for his pulse and could feel the faint beat on his wrist. Her thoughts then suddenly rambled on saving this person. “Come on don’t die on me” she mumbled as she tried to preserve the brain function. He wasn’t breathing anymore and so she let her lips connect to his, exhaling into his mouth and pushing on to his lungs.

She felt that there were too much padding and could not press through. She then removed the leather jacket in which she faced two small lumps on his chest, revealing that he was a woman.
