So can I have this dance?
Dancing is their passion and their hobby.
Eunhyuk loves hiphop and breakdance, so as his best friend, Donghae. This may be the reason why they became friends, besides Donghae being so innocent and cute and Eunhyuk being so ert but funny.
Both of them are also members in a dance group of the school. They would always bring home awards, and the two of them are the star players.
But then, there is something that both of them hates, and that is to dance ballroom, most especially the waltz. They're afraid to dance with a partner, which they really hate.
But enjoying each other's touch is what they like the most, because it gives them that electrifying sensation.
"Prom night is coming up!" Sungmin said as he joined their group during lunch time. It's true: the promenade is almost up, so that means they're forced to bring dates.
"So?" Heechul commented, not bothering to look up to the younger member.
"So, it means we have to bring our dates!" the bunny-like male chirped, making Kyuhyun, his lover, look at him.
"Don't tell me..." he trailed off, earning Sungmin a wide grin. "Oh snap!"
Sungmin just laughed and started to eat. Eunhyuk, on the other hand, is still thinking whether to attend the prom or not. The good side is that he can hang-out with Donghae all night long, but the bad side is?
He doesn't know how to dance the waltz.
Yes, the greatest dancer of the school's dance troupe can't dance that graceful ballroom style of dance. He knows that he and his best friend doesn't know, and will never learn how to dance that style.
Or will they?
Eunhyuk was about to eat when Kangin called the daydreaming fish.
"Yah, Lee Donghae. You all right?" Kangin asked as he threw small bits of his sandwich at the younger male.
Donghae snapped out of his hallucination and nodded absentmindedly, earning laughs from his hyungs and dongsaengs.
"You should sometimes listen to hyung, Donghae hyung," Ryeowook commented as Yesung wrapped his arms around the younger male.
Aww, so cute, wonder if Eunhyuk will do that to me at the prom, Donghae thought as his favorite dongsaeng was hugged by his boyfriend tight. But ths problem is that he and Eunhyuk are not yet an item, much to his dismay.
The fish remembered the time he learned the waltz just for his best friend. He kept it as a secret because he doesn't want to break their promise, and he knows that this would be helpful for the both of them.
As the bell rang, they scrambled out of their seats and walked together with their boyfriend. Donghae stood up and walked first before the others can.
Just then, Siwon and Kangin approached Eunhyuk, as the muscular man wrapped his arm around the anchovy.
"Now's the chance, Hyukjae!" Kangin commented. Eunhyuk looked at him, clearly didn't understand what his hyung said.
"Aish, Eunhyuk. You have to tell Donghae the truth!" he added, earning a pale expression from the fish.
Siwon chuckled, "You're still not ready, huh?" Eunhyuk nodded, looking down.
"Well, you have to at least ask him out," Kangin butted, earning an awkward smile from Eunhyuk.
"Ah, c'mon, Eunhyuk hyung! This would be fun. I'll avail the tickets later so you can ask him out already, ok?" Siwon said as he patted his hyung's back.
"Are you sure I can do this?" Eunhyuk uneasily asked. Siwon and Kangin raised their thumbs up, and the anchovy easily conveyed the message.
Take my hand, take a breath
Pull me close, and take one step

"Aish!" Eunhyuk panicked, walking back and forth in front of Leeteuk, Kangin, Siwon and Kibum.
Three days from now, it would be prom night, and Eunhyuk still can't ask Donghae. Wow, the pressure.
"Hyung, you only have three days to ask the fish, or else, ka-put," Siwon commented as he hugged Kibum.
"You have to ask my best friend out, hyung. He's waiting for you to ask him," Kibum added.
Ah ! You are one pabo monkey, Hyukjae! Eunhyuk thought as he kicked the air.
"You have to go ask him, fast!" Leeteuk said. The anchovy nodded and bit his fingernails in anxiousness. Just then, a phone rang from one of them.
Kibum laughed, "That's mine." Everyone followed the younger's movements, anticipating who it is.
"It's Donghae. And he told me he's at the park of the school," he said as he looked at his phone.
Eunhyuk smiled widely and patted Kibum's back, "Thanks dongsaeng!" He ran fast as he can, disappearing along the corridors.
"How did you...?" Siwon looked at his boyfriend. Kibum chuckled and placed a finger on his boyfriend's lips, "I'm a ninja, remember?"
Kangin and Leeteuk snickered as their dongsaeng told his secret. How they really love this guy.
Eunhyuk ran as fast as he can, until he saw one familiar figure sitting on the benches. He smiled a little and approached him, trying not to startle the fish.
"Hey, uhm, Donghae," he greeted first as he stood in front of him. Donghae looked up and smiled, gesturing him to sit beside him.
This is it! Eunhyuk will ask me out! Donghae squealed inside his mind. A smile then slipped out of Eunhyuk's face, making the younger think what's happening.
"I was thinking if I could attend the prom or not," the older said, not looking up.
Donghae blinked, still can't believe of what he heard from his best friend. "Why?" he asked.
The anchovy chuckled, "I know it's a small problem but... I don't know how to dance the waltz."
This is the opportunity for the fish to hold him close, and to feel those electric current again all over his body as they touch.
"I can teach you," Donghae offered as he stood up, giving his hand. "Are you serious?" Eunhyuk asked, still surprised.
The fish nodded and helped Eunhyuk up. "Take a deep breath, and take my hand," Donghae started off.
Eunhyuk took a deep breath, excited and at the same time nervous. Touching him again makes him feel alive and complete. He touched his hand, and wrapped his other arm around him. That electric current flowed around him.
"Take one step, but keep your eyes steady. Just look at me," Donghae continued. A light shade of pink covered Eunhyuk's cheeks as he looked straight into the younger's eyes. He made one step forward and the rest was taken care off.
After minutes of dancing, Donghae sat back down and smiled. "So who are you going to take to the prom?" he asked. The older smiled and showed him two tickets, and immediately asked him, "Can you be my date to the prom?"
Donghae felt all giddy and such inside, but calm and composed on the outside. "Sure," he answered, earning a wide grin plastered on the anchovy's face.
"Pick you up around 6?" Eunhyuk asked as he offered his hand so the younger could stand up. Donghae nodded and walked beside his best friend back to the school building

"Are you sure this is the right time?" Kangin asked as loudly as possible to Eunhyuk. The prom night is beautiful as usual, with everyone all dressed up with glitz and glamour.
"Yes hyung. I'm ready for this. Look, he said yes when I asked him out to the prom, and now there he is with me," Eunhyuk said. Wonder what is the anchovy up to...
"Okay then. Good luck dongsaeng! Fighting!" Leeteuk encouraged, making Eunhyuk smile and be confident.
He pushed into the crowds, looking for his date. He then saw him talking with someone, earning him jealousy. His black tuxedo glimmered on the lights, making Donghae look who was it.
As he and the fish made eye contact, Eunhyuk ran away as soon as possible, his eyes swelling up and such. Kangin, Leeteuk, Siwon and Kibum noticed the anchovy running away, making its way to the park, while Donghae followed.
"Okay, what did Donghae do this time?" Siwon asked. Everyone shrugged and went back to their party nature.
Donghae looked for his best friend around the park, frequently calling him and ask him what's the matter. A familiar figure caught his eye, making him smile a little.
"Eunhyuk-ah, are you okay?" he asked, hearing sniffs and wails from his best friend. He sat beside him and shook his back, "Yah, you okay?"
Eunhyuk tried to ignore him, but his touches were making him soothe and calm. He wiped his tears and faced him, his eyes all puffy.
"Who are you talking to a while ago?" he asked straightforward. Donghae chuckled and hugged his best friend, "You do realize that was my sister, who is also studying in this school."
Eunhyuk blinked, obviously petrified, "You have a sister?" The fish laughed and nodded. "Sorry about that... I got, um --" "Jealous? Yeah, I also feel that emotion whenever you're not with me and you're with somebody else," Donghae cut him off.
The anchovy was surprised with what he heard, and made this the perfect opportunity to ask him again.
"It's been a while that we've been friends, Donghae. I'm lucky to be one of them, but sometimes, I think we should be more than that. I know I just confessed today, but sometimes I feel that you also feel sparks whenever I'm with you. So my question is that," he stopped as he pulled out a ring from his pocket, making Donghe gasp in awe.
Eunhyuk smiled and continued, "Will you be my dance partner, my forever, my boyfriend?" Without another word, Donghae kissed his lips in happiness. Sparks fly and the electric current flowed right into their bodies.
"You know my answer, right?" Donghae said as they broke off. Eunhyuk answered, smiling happily and with ecstasy. His best friend became his boyfriend, and he will forever be his dance partner.
As they went back to the prom venue, a slow song was being played. Eunhyuk smiled, and made this opportunity to dance with his new boyfriend.
"Can I have this dance?" he asked as he flashed his ever-gummy smile. Donghae nodded and blushed as he was pulled by Eunhyuk to the dance floor.
The two of them were synchronized, their feet moving to the beat of the music. Their friends smiled at them as they noticed they're already inseparable.
The prom then marked a great and beautiful memory for the both of them, as they journey together as partners who will help each other out.
