Day Eleven
A Month of Kim Jongdae[A/N]: A very confusing chapter ahead. It was tricky for me to write it but I hope you appreciate it somehow. To those who will be able to understand, I salute you! :D
Also, it works both ways. Their thoughts are connected, but please still read it as if they weren't which is why it is so effing confusing that even I was confused -____-. It's up to you on how you want to perceive things. ^__^

-JONGDAE-
Lay told him not to go to Kris’ house. Why wouldn’t he? The one person he loves was there, practically against her will, and it was his duty to save her. Besides, he had promised her he would so why the hell wouldn’t he?
But no, not yet. Lay wouldn’t tell him not to go without a reason. And since Lay was someone he had trusted ever since, he knew that Lay must have a good reason.
‘Baby, are you okay now?’
She stirred in her sleep, mumbling an ‘mm-hmm’ in the process. She inhaled the familiar scent beside her – of lavender and lime: her favorite. She snuggled closer, arm tightening around the figure beside her.
-KRIS-
He froze as he heard her mumble. Oh .
-KATHERINE-
It was these days she liked most. The air conditioning unit emitted just the right amount of coldness that would make any one fall back to sleep.
These were her favorite days: six in the morning, cuddling with her favorite man in the world.
But she realized, she wasn’t in her house, was she?
Her eyes fluttered open upon realizing that she was practically tangled up with Kris. Mixed emotions started to build up in her heart and she didn’t know what to feel anymore. She was face-to-face with Kris’ firm chest. She couldn’t move, not when his arm was wrapping her securely. She wanted to move but somehow she found herself unable to do so.
-KRIS-
He tried with his all his might not to move a single bit. He’d be dead if he did anyway. He shut his eyes before they met with Katherine’s and hoped for the best that he wouldn’t get caught. He was expecting a hard shove of punch but even if he waited, and he was sure she was awake by now, he didn’t feel anything, except her tiny arm around him.
-KATHERINE-
She blinked a lot of times. How was she going to squirm out of his hold without waking him up?
-KRIS-
He waited and waited and still, she didn’t move. He began to think she liked him holding her but then
-KATHERINE-
she slowly lifted her arm that was around him and lifted his arm that was around her. It took her her whole effort just to lift it, though. His arm was heavier than two of hers. She laid down his arm in front of him and then
-KRIS-
he felt empty once more. He noted mentally: not to have his hopes up.
-KATHERINE-
She was sure he should have been awake by now but he wasn’t. What she didn’t know was that
-KRIS-
he was already fully awake – physically and emotionally. She still doesn’t care for him since
-KATHERINE-
she would’ve taken the opportunity of holding him in her arms since he was deep asleep but then
-KRIS-
he wasn’t Jongdae and he knew it. There would be no way to make her care for him since
-KATHERINE-
she loved Jongdae, and she shouldn’t be thinking about these kinds of thoughts, since
-KRIS
he was practically a stranger to her so why would he think that
-KATHERINE-
she wanted to get to know him, maybe he wasn’t that bad as she thought? After all,
-KRIS-
he keeps on taking care of her so why would he stop now? Would it make a difference even if
-KATHERINE-
she loved Jongdae, so why was she suddenly having thoughts of befriending someone like him when
-KRIS-
he didn’t do anything but make her feel like he didn’t and doesn’t care about her? So why would he assume that somehow
-KATHERINE-
she would want to try to let him explain. He hasn’t done anything to harm her, right?
-KRIS-
He realized that he had been thinking for too long now but still, he could feel her presence beside him. He was beginning to think that maybe, just maybe,
-KATHERINE-
she felt a lot better than last night. Was it because of him?
-KRIS-
Please, stay. Stay with me, Kat.
-KATHERINE-
No, I shouldn’t be doing this.
-KRIS-
The bed moved and in a swift movement, she was gone. He shouldn’t even be this affected, but it felt like he was a groom who was left at the altar.
Difference is, his bride never came in the first place.
-KATHERINE-
She stood up and turned to leave. But before she did, she looked back at his sleeping figure. He looked problematic and she wondered if
-KRIS-
he was having a nightmare and it was bad enough since he knew he would never be able to wake up when
-KRIS and KATHERINE-
they didn’t want to wake up as if they were telling themselves that they were better off asleep than to face the reality that they would never be able to be with the person they loved.
