I Don't Care

Park Bom: I've been in bed for almost 2 days now. The doctor told me to get a complete bed rest and boss also prohibited me from joining practice sessions. Lucky me, I get to relax and re-energize myself for our upcoming projects. The downside of it, I'm stuck here in the apartment, with only my phone, books and TV as my companion. Minzy has been taking care of me all along. She said she found me passed out in front of my bedroom door a 3 nights ago. Whatever happened to me after that I don't know. The only memory I had was we got caught up in the rain that afternoon and went home soaking wet. She checks on me every time she is able to, even calls me when she's out on practice. According to her, CL and Dara also got sick, but not as severe as what happened to me. I must have been working too hard I forgot to take care of my own health.

I was out at the balcony reading some magazine when she arrived. She quickly called me name, but decided not to answer. "Unnie, I have some oranges for you. It will build up your immune system... Unnie? Unnie?" I thought I could play prank on her, looking like I went out of the apartment, I started smiling.

"Aish, that woman! She's not yet well yet she went out again, Aigoo!

She's so cute! Especially when she acts like a grown woman. Listening to her shouting inside, I decided to carefully peek in. I saw her arranging the magazines in the table.

"And she even left without cleaning up her mess!", she continued ranting.

I couldn't help but giggle. Looking at her, I can really say that she's already growing up. And looking at her had brought up this unusual feeling towards her one more time. Could it be? Could it be that I am in love with Minji?

It took me a moment to realize that she was staring back at me. Her eyes- though very small but very hypnotizing.

"Unnie, you're there all along?", she asked. I just let out a laugh.

"You- why didn't you tell! You've been watching me here getting angry?!"

I nodded, still laughing. She started laughing as well. Oh, her eyes. She's even more prettier when she laughs.

"Mischievious unnie.", she said. "Here, I have some oranges for you."

"What? No corn?", I said acting childish.

"No corn for you today, Bom", she replied acting like a mother. I went inside and got one of the oranges. It smelled sweet enough to make me hungry. "Thanks."

"How are you feeling today, unnie? CL and Dara unnie were worried about you. Even Ssabunim pesters me a lot. He's the one who told me to buy you fruits, well, except corn."

"Ssabunim always prohibits me to eat corn! But I will eat anyways, I will eat once I get well tell him that!"

"Might as well go back to the gym holding some corn, I am sure he'll get furious with that!"

We both laughed. For the first time since that night, we laughed hard together. Ah, I missed this moment with her but this time it was different.

"Yah, Gong Minji"

"Neh?", she chuckled.

"Thank you for taking care of me." I stared at her to show sincerity, and she looked down. "That's nothing. Of course I have to take care of you. You're my unnie, right?" This time, I couldn't help but feel more for her. Something is telling my mind not to, but my heart really felt something.

I stared at her while she's peeling the oranges. I moved closer to her and held her chin. She looked back at me with curiosity, but at the back of my mind she had an idea of what would possibly happen. But I don't care. I just don't care right now.

I kissed her.
