I See Blind People

My Mind's Eye

It had been two weeks since Tiffany had first met Jessica. Two weeks since she last saw that enigmatic blonde.

Tiffany had soon accepted that she would probably never see the likes of the marvelous blind photographer ever again. Their performance scheduling was quite packed, not to mention the rehearsals and practices in between. Tiffany wasn’t left with much time to contemplate the loss of a possibly life-changing friendship amidst all the dancing, sweating, bruised feet, aching limbs, and more dancing and sweating.

But although Tiffany’s mind was not riddled by thoughts of the blonde, snatches of their one-day of knowing each other would inconveniently pop-up in the most random of moments, often ambushing Tiffany like a ravenous stalking tiger.

The first time it happened was three days after meeting Jessica. Tiffany was grabbing her morning coffee with Diana before heading to the theatre when the blonde barista making her drink had turned to flash Tiffany a smile. Tiffany had stared in shock as Jessica blinked into existence for the briefest of moments before vanishing as if she had never been there. And in reality, she hadn’t. But the effect on Tiffany was real, and quite immediate. Tiffany had yelped in surprise and her wallet slipped from her hands, scattering coins everywhere. The young girl had left the coffee shop red-faced, with a chortling Diana following close behind. Tiffany spent the rest of the day enduring teasing from her older colleagues about how one pretty smile from a pretty barista had made her ‘lose her ovaries’ as Diana had so nicely put it.

Chapter 39: They might tease each other a lot, but they surely care a lot about each other. This kind of friendship is just too— cute and rare? They support each other in every steps is something that I have to mention, because it is a very heartwarming.

I don’t think I believe something like soul mates too, but I do believe that there will be someone for each of us. Soul mates is like— whatever you do, wherever you are, you will always get the chance to meet this person, hence I think it’s kind of impossible, in a way.

Anyway, thank you for the update, author-nim!

Chapter 38: This chapter makes my heart flutter! Every single gesture, even the most simple one makes me smile! The development of their relationship is not rushed, that’s what I like— it’s going steadily yet sweeter. Surely my new favorite chapter now, though I do love all the chapters! Hehe.
