The year 2011 is beginning to gather its things for the last farewell and the year 2012 is approaching to our doorsteps. Yoona insisted that we cleaned up our own room instead of troubling Aunty Lee and the cleaners. So, here I am, armed with a broom and dustpan, cleaning up my room with my own hands for the first time in my entire life.

"I still don't see why we have to do THIS." I pouted as I pointed to the surroundings, sighing.

And there she was, turning around to face me, looking so alluring as ever. Her hair was tied up into a neat bun and loose tendrils fell at the side of her face due to those household chores.. She put her hands on her hips and pouted at me.

"How many times do I have to say this? I want us to do something TOGETHER. Like cleaning our own room."

"There's still lots of other things that we could do together instead of this~"

"Well, even so, all that can wait. It's time you do some work for yourself, spoilt brat~" She ignored my frustration and stucked her tongue out as she continued to clean up the area.

And so, I couldn't do anything else but jolly well picked the broom up again and started to clean my areas carelessly. Thus, earning me several light slaps on the arms from time to time as she spotted me dreaming away or not cleaning up properly. We did fooled around a little too though, when I acted all whiny towards her, asking her for a break and she would just gave up and obliged.

"Yobo! Come help.. help me with this!" Yoona was carrying a huge box and was having a hard time. She looked as though she was about to trip.

"Yah! Chinjia! You should have asked me to carry it instead! What if you hurt your stomach?!!" I quickly went over to take the box from her, putting it down on the floor and reprimanded her. Even though she was already 3months into the pregnancy, she totally does NOT act like one.

"Aishh~ I'm only PREGNANT, not paralysed." She folded her arms and pouted at me, showing her disatisfaction. She hated the fact that I always forbade her to do things, using her pregnancy as an excuse.

"Araso araso. I don't remember we have such a big box eh... What is it inside.." I calmed her down, bending down to open the box, diverting her attention.

"Same! Let's see what's inside~" One good thing about pregnant woman. Their emotions changed really quickly.

------

"Omo! You looked sooooo cute when you're young!!"

It was our photo albums. Separately of course. But Aunty Lee packed them all together in a box. As we sat on the corner of the bed, flipping through our photos, I was glad to see her smile. And glad that I could finally take a break from all that cleaning.

"Eh? I...I have this photo too!" Suddenly, she shrieked and pointed at a photo.

"Mwuh? How come I don't remember I have such a photo..." I took the photo out from the album, examining closely. From that photo, it looks like I was still in college. My hair was still copper brown then. And I was kissing a girl. Hmm... That girl looks familiar. It looks like Yoona.... Yoona. MWUH?! YOONA?!

"Look! I have the same one too!" After rummaging through her album, Yoona finally fished out another photo. It was the replica of mine.

<<< FLASHBACKS >>>

It was a cold, winter night and the final day of the year 2008. Yoona was left alone at home, given that her parents were out for a business trip and Nichkhun was well, in America. She sighed as she walked on the streets of Seoul, seeing people with their couple or friends, rejoicing and were on their way to party. Yoona found a nearby bench and sat down. She was on the brink of tears. Never ever had she felt so lonely before. And it had to be on New Year's Eve. What a great way to end 2008 and start 2009...

At the same time, Ji Yong too, was wandering aimlessly on the streets of Seoul, sighing as pairs of lovebirds walked passed him. His parents were out for yet another business trip and Seung Hyun, just like any other lovebirds, was out with Tiffany, celebrating a new year. As for Yuri, she had always been an outgoing girl. In fact, she had long planned this day in advance. She was going to countdown with Young Bae, Seungri, Daesung and her other friends. She wanted Ji Yong to go along too, but he decided that it was better for him to spend some time alone on this day, to reflect on his past. given that he had just ended a relationship a week ago. There he was, walking around the streets of Seoul. And finally, sitting down on a nearby bench.

Fate always has its way to bring two people, of different gender, different mindset, different feelings, together. And on this special day, fate decided to cast its spell on Ji Yong and Yoona, a two total stranger.

"Why... Why are you sitting here all alone?" Yoona was looking up at the sky and noticed that there was a guy sitting right beside her too, sighing away. She couldn't help but got curious.

"Mwuh? Then why are you sitting here all alone? You should mind your own business, young lady." Ji Yong snapped back. He wasn't particularly in a good mood.

"Fine! Such a rude guy..." Yoona hissed.

Once again, they fell back into silence, each struggling with their own thoughts. Ji Yong looked at Yoona for a little while and realised that he was captivated by her. She looked really beautiful. Her skin seemed to glow under the moonlight and her chestnut brown hair swayed against the light breeze, causing her to look like a fairy descended from heaven. Ji Yong found himself lost for words. How could he have shouted at such a delicate girl just now? He momentarily found himself taking glances at her every few minutes. He mentally cursed himself for wanting to kiss that full-pinkish lips of her, since she was just a complete stranger.

"Excuse me. Can you please stop staring at me? You should mind your own business too." Yoona turned around and caught Ji Yong taking a glance at her.

Ji Yong's heart almost stopped as their eyes met. He ruffled his hair and wanted to explain himself, but was stuttering all the way, lost for words. Looking at his expression, Yoona couldn't help but broke into peals of laughters.

"M-Mwuh?"

"You're so funny!" Yoona cried. "Well, I was just joking. I'm not like you~"

"Yah..." Ji Yong groaned. "Anyway, I'm sorry... I shouldn't have shouted at you just now..."

"Gwenchanayo. I'm not someone that bears grudges~" Yoona smiled.

They looked at each other and broke into a comfortable smile. A smile which indicates a new friendship formed.

"So, why are you here all alone? Shouldn't girls like your age be out there partying with your friends or boyfriends?"

"Well, I haven't got a boyfriend and my parents are not in town today... And, shouldn't I be asking you this question instead? You look like those who liked having fun. Why are you sitting here and staring at those people walking by?"

"Just like you, my parents are out of town today and well, my brother is out with his girlfriend. My sister did ask me along for a party but I didn't really wanna go. And as for girlfriend, if new year was a week ago, I wouldn't have been here. But unfortunately, it isn't." Ji Yong answered honestly.

"Oh... Mianhae... I shouldn't have brought up this question.."

"Ah. Gwenchanayo. I'm fine already. Just needed some quiet time alone." Ji Yong grinned at her. "Anyway, come to think about it now, don't you think it's a little wasteful about ditching this night away? I mean the atmosphere is so good."

"Hmmm. Yeahs. But where can I go? All my friends are celebrating with their family now..." Yoona sighed. "You should get going. Go join your sister to have some fun!"

"What does you and your family do during this day?" Ji Yong ignored her comments and asked.

"Mwuh?" Yoona was taken aback by his sudden question. "Nothing much actually. But my brother would always urge me to write my new year resolutions and he would do his best to help me accomplish it before the clock strikes 12." Yoona shrugged her shoulders.

"Where is the paper now? Did you write it down just like the past years?"

"Er.... Yeahs. I did. Just to keep some wonderful memories. He is currently in America now, so I think this year, I would give it a miss. It's impossible to accomplish them without him." Yoona took out a piece of paper and showed it to Ji Yong.

"Well, then what are we waiting for?! Let's go and accomplish them! Don't leave any regrets for the new year!" Ji Yong grabbed the paper and jumped off the bench, exclaimed.

"Mwuh?!!" Yoona shrieked.

"Come on! Let's get going! Not much time left before the clock strikes 12!" With that, Ji Yong grabbed hold of her wrist and began running for her first goal. Yoona just laughed and follwed after him. She thought, perhaps, this new year wouldn't be that bad afterall.

------

"Alrights. First. Enjoy a swim in the swimming pool. Mwuh? You had never been to a swimming pool before?" Ji Yong looked at the list and almost burst into laughters.
