Eun Mi

Now before anyone goes getting any ideas that I like that .. Dayday guy, let me clarify. The only reason that I said yes was because Jun was being too adorable, and because we really had to get to class. I wonder what it would be like when he called me.

I didn't have to wait long for that to be answered. He called me that evening, just as I was about to do some laundry. 

"Hello?" It was an unfamiliar number, so I knew it had to be him. For some weird reason, my heart started racing. It had been so long since anyone had asked me out.

His voice came through. It sounded deeper than normal. "Hey. It's, uh. Dayday."  

"Hi. What's up?" I hoped I didn't sound too nervous.

"Oh nothing much. I was just calling about our, uh, date," he cleared his throat. 

"Oh! Yeah. Totally." Why did I sound like a 13 year old who was getting out for the first time? I was already 26! Eun Mi, get it together.

Before I could keep mentally kicking myself, Dayday spoke again. "Do you like baseball?" 

"Um. Sure. Yeah." 

"Great! I have two tickets to the next game, on Saturday. Are you free?" He sounded relieved. 

"Yes, I am." 

"Perfect." He told me the details, and then bid me goodbye. 

A baseball game? I didn't have the first clue about baseball. How was this date going to turn out?
