She was there. Right there, in front of me…in the middle of that crowd, I couldn’t look elsewhere, I felt petrified. I was somehow scared of her at that moment –no, that wasn’t it, it was the first time that I felt nervous up on stage, that was it, and it was because of her.

“Minhyuk”

How was I supposed to play confidently in front of the girl I liked?

“Minhyuk!”

I snapped back to reality at the mention of my name, I had the 3 of them looking at me from above, most likely wondering why I hadn’t started playing.

“M-Mianhe…” I slowly got to say looking down to the floor.

“Are you ok?” Jonghyun turned around to ask me, noticeably worried. I nodded in response.

“I’m ok, let’s start over again…” I apologized to the staff for the sudden incident, for actually, spacing out. I tried fixing my eyes somewhere else so I wouldn’t have to look at her. I tried focusing on the performance as much as I could and I was glad when it was finally over since the first thing I did was jumping off the stage.

I was grateful that the performance finished without any other trouble luckily, I bowed to the audience and got inside the dressing room as quick as I could. Why was she there? Did Jonghyun invite her over? That was probably the reason. At that moment, I realized that I should had never given Jinae those backstage passes, everything was going to turn into total chaos.

The time to close the program arrived and I tried my best to remain at the back of the stage behind a lot of the groups that were at the studio that day. One thing for sure, the guys must have thought that I was acting pretty odd, and in fact, I myself knew that I was. We went to the backstage once the show was officially over, however, before we left the stage I saw how Jonghyun quickly waved at someone, it was obvious who he was waving to, at least, it was obvious to me, but I acted as though I hadn’t noticed.

“Can’t believe that we’ll be ending our promotions next week!” Jungshin exclaimed as we  were walking down the hall towards our dressing room.

“Time sure flies, and then we are off to Japan!” Yonghwa mentioned. Japan… Japan! I had almost forgotten that after ending our Ear Fun promotions we would have to go to Japan to begin the recording of our 3rd Japanese single which was scheduled for an August release but yeah, it was required for us to go since our Japanese album was in the plans as well.

“Minhyuk?” Yonghwa asked as he saw me walking past the dressing room.

“Ne?”

“The dressing room is here” He pointed out, my eyes opened wide and I quickly entered the room as I let out a nervous laugh. Spacing out too much wasn’t doing me any good. I was a little embarrassed due to everything that was happening. I changed into my normal clothes and while I was stuffing all of my things on my bag I hear that a man from the staff entered the room.

“Lee Jonghyun-ssi?”

“Oh yes?” was his reply, I was still inside of the room changing but I could hear them talking.

“You have visits, miss, over here”

“Oh whoa, you are here!” Jungshin said. I suddenly felt all cold, I wasn’t sure if it was Jinae or if it was her the one that had entered the room because I couldn’t quite hear her voice well. I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to go out and check, but I wasn’t going to stay at the room until she left so I decided to go out. I slowly opened the door and kind of tried to see who was there.

I froze there, she actually got inside our dressing room, yeah she must have been invited by Jonghyun, she looked so happy as she talked to Yonghwa and Jungshin, she looked like she really wanted to be this close to us. Perhaps if I had given her the tickets instead… and she looked as though she didn’t mind Jonghyun’s arm over her shoulders, I felt that something wa
