Having stayed to talk to her was a bad idea already, but it was worse to actually have accepted to go somewhere less crowded. It’s not like I was scared of her or anything like that. I was scared of what Jinae could do to her, it scared me to the point of actually not caring if I was spotted by anyone because the only thing I wanted to do was finding out what Jinae was actually plotting. I knew her too much to let my guard down.

“So…” she sat on the chair across me at the ice cream shop at the last floor of the shopping mall. Our table wasn’t as visible luckily, so it was perfect to talk. She played with her curly hair as she ate her ice cream, anyone who saw her would think she was a little innocent girl not capable of killing a fly, “Minhyuk, why are you wasting your time on such an insignificant girl like her?”

I snapped at her comment, “I already told you it’s none of your business, and she is not ‘insignificant’ like you say”

“Oh getting overprotective as always, I never really understood what she did to get yours and Jonghyun-oppa’s attention” she hissed.

“And I never understood why she trusted in such a liar like you”

“Well, she’s naive, what can I do?” she sarcastically said. I couldn’t understand how 2 different people like them could have been friends at some point. Jinae put the spoon inside her ice cream and fixed her eyes on me for some seconds, “Well, onto more important matters, what was that about her seeing Jonghyun-oppa again? I thought they were on bad terms and hated each other”

I sighed when I remembered that, it was a little disappointing how things had turned out ever since we had started seeing each other again but it wasn’t like the two of them were dating…at least, I was sure they weren’t…right then.

“They actually ‘hated’ each other until some weeks ago, some incident happened and me and the guys had to spend a night at her flat”

“WHAT?! All of CNBlue at her flat? Even Jonghyun-oppa? Why are you so dumb?! Why did you do that”

“Hey cut it out with all the insults! And stop with those high pitch screams, you are hurting my ears”

She frowned and slammed her hand against the table, “I didn’t know of that… we were never notified about CNBlue not sleeping at their dorm…”

I blinked for a few seconds, “We? And by ‘we’ you mean…?”

She covered and panicked, “N-No nothing”

“Kwon Jinae, what is it?”

“Well…” she slowly took out her phone from her bad and shoved it across the table, it landed on my hands and when I turned it on the first thing I saw was a photo of Jonghyun as her wallpaper and some alarms were scheduled, I opened the calendar and saw many notes, it was a bit shocking to me because it looked almost like a copy of our schedule for the week.

“Jinae… are you …”

“A Boice? But of course Minhyuk! Even if you are there…”

“I was going to say something else but ok… I see your obsession with Jonghyun is as strong as ever”

She smirked at me and grabbed her phone from my hands, “It probably is still as strong as the ‘love’ you said you felt for her back in those days, and probably now…” she stuffed her phone on her bag and resumed eating her ice cream, “You still look like a little puppy following her around waiting for her to actually take you into consideration and notice you… ah how I pity you”
