One week passed since then. I had been trying to avoid being alone with Aron, which wasn't very difficult knowing thy had a really tight schedule.

When I got up I quickly got dressed and we took off to practice.

Suddenly I got a phone call. I excused myself and ran outside, cheeks red from embarrassment. Everyone was asked to turn off their phone and usually I did but today I had forgotten. I looked at the screen and saw it was an unknown number.

I picked up, "Hello?"

"Niina-ssi?" I heard on the other side.

"Yes, who am I talking to?"

"I'm doctor Lee from the Sobong hospital where your mother is," he told me.

"Is there something wrong with her?" I asked concerned.

"Well, ..."

I widened my eyes in disbelief when I heard the news.

I ran back to the practice room. When I found the manager I told him I would go to the hospital and left.

"What did she say?" the manager asked, but the staff members next to him all shook their heads, they too hadn't understood a word I said.

I quickly got in a taxi and went to the hospital. When I arrived I ran to my mother's room. I stopped in front of it, catching my breath and calming my heart. Then I slowly opened the door.

There she was. Smiling at me.

I felt tears welling up in my eyes, "Mom?" I said a bit unsure.

She smiled and nodded. Then she opened her arms, Come here, my sweet Niina."

I ran towards her, hugging her with all my might and cried.

"You must have been through a lot," she whispered while my hair, "I'm sorry."

I shook my head, not being able to say anything.

She kept my hair while whispering calming words, eventually I calmed down.

"I'm sorry," I sniffed.

She smiled, "It's alright, you're my little girl after all. I probably wasn't easy."

I shook my head, "Mom, I had forgotten everything," I said, feeling guilty.

"I heard from the doctor, it's not your fault though. It was probably better that way, imagine the pain you would have gone through, while not knowing anyone and having to adapt to living here alone. Even when you didn't remember anything, it must have still been hard on you."

I nodded, I couldn't hide anything form my mom, she was way to observing.

Suddenly I got a phone call. It was Aron. I smiled apologetically to my mother and answered it.

"Niina, are you alright?" he asked before I could say anything.

"I'm fine," I told him, "why?"

He sighed, "The manager told us you left in a rush but he didn't understand why."

"Oh, I'm sorry Aron, I forgot he can't understand me."

"Where are you now?"

"In the hospital."

"WHAT? Did something happen?" he asked concerned.

I giggled, "Relax, nothing's wrong with me, it's my mom, she woke up!"

"Really?" he sounded happy, "That's great, we'll come over immediately!" he hung up before I could answer.

I turned to my mom who seemed very curious, "Who was that? Could he understand you?"

I nodded, "That was Aron, he was raised while speaking both Korean and English. He's been my translator for the past month."

"A guy?" mom asked.

I blushed and nodded.

"Handsome?"

I blushed even more as I nodded again.

"My Niina is in love~" she said, not asking me.

"Mom!" I said trying to stop her wild fantasies.

"Tell me about him!" she commanded me.

I sighed, there was no way I could avoid it, once she set her mind on something no one could change that. I sat down on her bed and told her how we met. That he was from the upcoming boyband Nu'est and how well we got along.

My mom was almost screaming from excitement but when she wanted to ask another question, suddenly the door opened.

I turned around and saw Aron enter. After him, the others followed.

Ren suddenly pulled Aron closer, "Look, your mother-in-law" he whispered teasingly.

"YAH!"

When everyone had entered the room, my mom suddenly looked really confused.

"Niina, didn't you say Nu'est was a boyband?" she asked.

I nodded.

"Then, why is there a girl?" she blurted out while pointing at Ren.

Aron and Baekho bursted out in laughter.

"Mom~" I complained, "Ren is a boy!"

"Oh!" she said while still staring at Ren, "Are you sure?"

Meanwhile Aron and Baekho were already rolling on the floor and holding their stomach while laughing.

The others where only staring at them, not knowing what had happened.

Finally the two calmed down.

"Ah!" my mom suddenly said, "Aren't you Anton?" she asked while looking at Aron.

"Mom?" I asked.

"Look Niina," she said, "that's your boyfriend from long ago!"

We stayed quiet for a while, "mom, his name isn't Anton, it's Aron."

"Oh, really? I could swear it was Anton!"

"Uhm," Aron interrupted us, "a while ago I remembered something."

We both looked at him.

He started to feel uneasy, "when I was young I met a little girl with ponytails. We got along very well but her mom mistook my name and thought it was Anton," he said.

Mom's face brighten

ed up, "See, I told you it was him!" she said.

"Are you serous?" I asked. 

He nodded, "Sorry, I forgot to tell you."

I stared in disbelief.

"And who are the others?" mom suddenly asked.

"My name is Baekho," Baekho introduced himself.

The others immediately continued.

"Anyong haseyo, Minhyun imnida!"

"Anyong haseyo, JR imnida!"

"Anyong haseyo, Ren imnida!"

"Hello, I'm Anna Cole and as you probably already know, Niina's mother," mom introduced herself.

Then she looked at Aron and whispered to me, "I approve of him."

"Mom!" I said, while glancing at Aron, concerend he might have heard.

We kept on talking about various things but not much later, the doctor entered and kindly asked us to leave.

I smiled at my mom, "I'll be back tomorrow" I said before I left.

"Okay," she answered, "good night!"

We happily left the hospital when I suddenly remembered something, "Wait a minute!" I said, "Didn't you guys have vocal pracitce? And where did the manager go?".

"Oops," Baekho said, "you found out?"

"Found out what?"

"Well," Aron continued, "we kind of ... slipped away?"

"What! But the concert is coming closer, you guys can't do that!" I exclaimed.

They both smiled, "Don't worry, we'll be fine. Besides, we really wanted to be by your side."

I opened my mouth to say something but Minhyun interupted me.

"Please don't be mad~" he said in English with his adorable puppy eyes.

It was obvious they had practiced this beforehand, they were so sneaky! There's no way I could stay mad while Minhyun was begging me with those eyes.

I sighed, "Alright, alright!"

Minhyun smiled and hugged me, "You're the best!"

Sorry it took so long, I wasn't sure how to continue, I've been thinking about it the whole week and this is what I came up with. Hope I didn't disappoint you!!

I wonder if the ponytails is the only thing Aron remembers of the little Niina, he keeps on repeating that part xD
