I woke up  thanks to my alarm clock. I planned to surprise everyone with the presents I had bought yesterday. I got dressed, took out the presents, which were still in my handbag and  tiptoed to each of their rooms.

Aron’s room was the nearest so I entered it first. He was sleeping soundly. I took the earrings I had bought for him and put them on his nightstand.

Next was Minhyun’s room. I knew JR also used this room. When I entered I saw Minhyun all curled up on the bed, JR was lying on a mattress on the other side. For both of them I had bought necklaces. I put them not far from where they were sleeping.

Baekho’s room was next. I peeked inside and saw he was still sleeping. I entered his room but wondered where I should leave the bracelet, seeing as there was no nightstand. I decided to leave it next to his pillow and hoped he would see it when he woke up.

Next was Ren. It wasn’t easy to find a present for him but, while searching, my eyes suddenly caught a ring which would suit him perfectly. When I entered his room, he seemed to be sleeping but when I got closer, he suddenly grabbed my hand and pinned me down on the bed.

“What are you doing, suddenly entering a guy’s room?” he asked.

I didn’t understand  but knew what he meant. I tried to tell him that I only wanted to give him a present but he didn’t seem to understand.

Suddenly his eyes became soft and he hugged me, “Saranghae,” he said.

I tried to push him away but he wouldn’t let go.

“Saranghae,” he repeated, “I love you”.

I was shocked and scared, I didn't want to hurt him but I couldn't change my feelings. Tears slided down my cheeks, “I’m sorry, mianhae, I don’t think I feel the same way”.

I could see he was hurt but he tried to hide it. He gently caressed my cheek and kissed my eyes, “Don’t cry”.

He hesitated a moment but then gently pressed his lips against mine. In that split second I could feel his love overflowing and didn’t push him away.

He suddenly got up and turned around, “Ka,” he said, asking me to leave.

“Ka,” he repeated more firmly.

I quickly got up and left the room, leaving the ring behind, which fell out of my hand on the floor.

What I couldn’t see was that Ren bended forward and picked up the ring. He tenderly kissed it while crying, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry I fell in love with you.”
