Blank
CheckmateThere was nothing more than darkness. Not a sound, not a shard of motion. She even lacked heat and coldness had crawled into the marrow of her bones. Along with the feeling came pain. But, not the kind where she required professional help. Instead, some painkillers and sleep were needed.
However, when opened and inhaled large amounts of air, Yoona suspected that she just woke up. The strangest thing was that she had no recollection of herself walking to bed or turning off the lights. Matter of fact, she began to guess she was nowhere inside her bedroom. The surface Yoona lied on was stern and rough, with occasional stripes of nothing. At her right shoulder and thigh, bars rose up in the air with a repetitive pattern of the stripes following.
A soundless click popped up in the head when Yoona understood where she was: on a bench.
In the mean time, Yoona also understood the darkness was a mere illusion. Whatever placed over her was soft and heating, which caused her to believe a blanket had been put over her. A faint smell of her oppa made her take a deep breath. She felt relaxed to know someone watched over and protected her.
Until a wave of memories drowned her.
Yoona sat up in a haste, pushing off and letting the blanket land on the ground at the same time. Her skin crawled just from remembering what he did to her in the car. Or, even one hour earlier. Automatism went on, making Yoona place her arms round herself, just to feel a bit more safe.
Without thinking, her breathing had picked up in speed and she felt mild pixilated. After taking a minute to calm down, she felt normal and set to evaluate her situation.
The first thing striking her was that she was outside. Shock number one. Yoona looked around to found out where more exact she was. Shock number two came when Yoona realized she was in front of the house facing her own.
But, something unusual went on: vehicles policemen used had parked in front of the entrance and the sidewalk. Lights in blue and red swirled in the air while the street had been cordoned. A dozen men in uniforms guided walkers to use the pavement on her side, or discussed certain matters with each other.
Fear struck her as TaecYeon came to mind.
On their own, the feet and legs made her stand up, before taking her over the road. Yoona didn't even look for cars, she just speeded ahead. Right now, she was more concerned about the whereabouts of her fiance than herself. Fright had Yoona in a tight grip, squeezing her breathless.
What if someone had injured TaecYeon? Yoona didn't want the kiss earlier this morning to be their last. But, most of all, she refused to accept the fact there was a chance she could loose him. For good.
All kinds of scenarios went through her mind as she ran and jumped over the cars. Yoona didn't care for the policemen who tried stopping her. Tears were on the brink to get out. More important, she needed to know where TaecYeon was. She needed to see him and make sure he was alright.
