Han Ah’s POV~

I heard a knock at the door and I looked at the clock. It’s only been ten minutes since Siwon left; I doubt he already stopped by the Super Junior M dorm. I limped over to the door, expecting a WGM crew but found myself staring into the cold, never ending, and soulless eyes of a person I’ll never be able to forget.

“Get away from here.” I hissed and tried slamming the door in his face to no avail. He jammed it with his shoes and he was slowly approaching me.

“And leave without a single welcoming gift? Didn’t I teach you anything at all Han Ah?” He oozed venom and I could hear the control he had in his tone of voice. Something told me he won’t be going out willingly.

“Zhou Mi and Siwon are bound to come out any minute now. You better leave.” I hoped that sounded convincing enough, yet he saw right through me. Tch, luck just isn’t with me at all nowadays is it?

“You might be a top actress, but I’m always able to see right through your acts. After all, I raised you.” He added and was only a centimeter away before I felt him touch my cheek with his filthy hands.

"Yah get off of me!" I yelled trying to get his hands off of my thigh. But he's too strong and he threw me against the wall. I can feel a bruise already forming at the back of my head.

"Make me, my pathetic daughter." Please. Someone. Zhou Mi. Help me.

Zhou Mi’s POV~

I just woke up when I heard a faint knock on the door. I was hoping the other members could get it but sadly, they all went out to grab lunch.

“Coming.” I muttered dragging my tired self to the door. I opened it and saw SIwon standing there with a small smile.

“Morning, I just wanted to get something and I’ll be out of your hair. I’ll be real quick; the WGM crew’s waiting for me downstairs.” I was too sleepy to reply so I just nodded and let him in. Well, no use trying to fall asleep now. Once I’m up, I’m up.

I went to the kitchen and looked inside one of the cabinets. Huh, where’s my coffee mug?

“Aish, I forgot it.” How could I forget my favorite coffee mug back at the WGM home?

“Ne Siwon? Do you mind if I go over to my-” I stopped for a minute before correcting myself “yours and Han Ah’s house? I forgot something.” Siwon came into the kitchen and tossed me a pair of keys.

“Go for it, but I have to go somewhere. You’ll have to go by yourself.”

I was hoping to avoid that. It was bad enough I had to say my goodbye’s to Han Ah last night, now I have to face the challenge of meeting her face to face after she wanted me out of her life as a husband. I took a quick shower before I got into my car and sped off to the house.

That’s odd. I was expecting a cleared driveway but saw a black car parked there. Siwon’s out, and the WGM crew is following him. Why would there be a car parked in the driveway?

I stepped onto the front porch and quietly knocked. No answer so I tried knocking a little harder. Still nothing.

“Aish, it’ll seem like I’m breaking and entering if I go in. Even if I do have the keys.” I was arguing with myself when I heard a crashing noise coming from the inside. Nothing good can come out of that. I pushed the key inside the lock and burst through the door.

“Well well well, you just love being the hero don’t you?” I looked in front of me and saw Mr. Young.

“A-annaseyo.” I greeted not forgetting my manners, yet I couldn’t help but be suspicious as to his presence. What was he doing here in the first place?

“I’ll be taking my leave now.” He said and as he left, he didn’t bother to apologize for ramming his shoulder into my own. After the door closed behind me, I heard an almost inaudible whimper coming from the living room.

Han Ah’s POV~

I heard footsteps running toward the living room and I couldn’t help but shudder. He’s coming back to finish me off, I just know it. Yet instead, I saw Zhou Mi paling at the sight of me. I must look like a pathetic mess right now. He leaned over and caressed my cheek with such grace and care.

“Han Ah, did your father do this to you?” I looked away feeling ashamed. He looked down at my bleeding arm, filled with probably ten or so pieces of broken glass shards. I felt extremely light headed and knew I would pass out sooner or later.

Zhou Mi’s POV~

I saw her put her free hand to her head as she gently leaned towards me. Han Ah looked so frail and fragile, as if she would break into a million pieces before my very eyes.

“Han Ah, hold on. I’m gonna take you to a hospital right now.” I whispered and carefully picked her up bridal style. Once I got back up to my feet she muttered,

“Zhou Mi?”

“N-neh.” My voice couldn’t help but crack when hearing her sound so deflated, so unlike her usual self. She gave me such a weak smile and whispered,

“I’m glad you came back.” Those were her last words before she passed out.
