They walked past the swooning high school girls and approached you with a smile. *I was wondering why there were so many females here…* you thought as you returned the smile rather awkwardly.

“Jihae…waited long?” Baekhyun gave you a smirk as you stood there lost.

“Y-you work here?” you finally managed to ask after a brief moment of confusion as Baekhyun gave you a nod.

“We all do… all six of us” he said as you nodded not listening. Your eyes were directed at the small male behind him as your eyes connected. Not moving, you stared into his eyes, as his gaze never lost yours. It was such a comfortable feeling… knowing his gaze was on you, as you finally snapped out of your daze.

“This is the only member left from our group. I don’t think you guys got a proper introduction… well since D.O was sleeping…” he muttered before he nudged D.O forward. The young males eyes widened, lost in thoughts as you gave him a bright smile. Outstretching your arms he firmly grasped it as you melted. *I haven’t held his hands in a while…* there was definitely some sort of connection passed between you two. Because when he let go, he kept staring at his hand. *He must’ve felt it too...*You thought before you decided not to pursue it.

“I’m going to serve some customers first… okay D.O? So you two kiddies can run around and get to know each other better…” Baekhyun muttered before giving you a wink.

You gave him an understanding smile as he left towards the high school females.

D.O’s POV

*It was her… the one I carried home…* he thought as he gazed at the smiling female before him. *Jihae… Jihae… why does it sound so familiar for…* he let out a sigh as the female gazed intently at him.

“Uhm…” he let out a cough, clearing his throat before he continued, and said “You should err… sit…” He awkwardly motioned at the chair, before pulling it out for her to sit down.  She let out a chuckle, catching him off guard as his eyes widened.

*What a laugh…* he slowly dazed off as he stared at the beautiful female in front of him. A long silence followed, of awkward chuckles and laughs, a couple of shy smiles and mainly just eye to eye communication. *D.O why are you so embarrassed for…* he thought confused.

He normally wasn’t this bad when it came to communicating with girls. So why? Why her? He frustatedly rubbed the back of his neck as the awkward atmosphere continued.

A new message has been received, broke the rather uncomfortable silence as the female grabbed her phone out of her pocket. Gazing intently at her, he watched her expression change from concentrating in reading, to astonishment. She awkwardly looked up from the text with a chuckle, eyes connecting to his, before she blushed bright red and looked away.

*I wonder what that message was. It suddenly made her so… cute?* he thought before he forced such thoughts away. *D.O… you were like this when she was unconscious and now you’re like this when she’s not…*

“Hey you two…” a familiar voice broke the atmosphere, as they both looked up at the smiling Baekhyun. He held a cup in his hand and placed it gently in the middle of the table. *Theres only one cup of coffee for two people…Aissh I knew I shouldn’t have told him about her…* D.O thought as he glared at his hyung. *How immature…* a slight pout crept up onto his lips, as he heard a beautiful chuckle from the side.

Cocking his head, he gazed at her softly before the female slowly stopped laughing.

“Uhmm… how are we supposed to kill this atmosphere?” she asked brightly with a couple of laughs as she continued to leave him breathless… *That smile…*

He continued to gaze at her before finally muttering, “k-kill?”

Another breathtaking smile crept up on her face as she let out a laugh. “You know… it’s so… quiet?” she muttered before he broke out into a smile.

“I-I’m sorry…I’m just tired…” he muttered before she shook her head from side to side. “It’s partly my fault as well…” the female said before awkwardly chuckling. The menial conversations continued, with nothing more than small questions and short answers. Learning nothing much important about each other, he let out a childish smile at the awkward atmosphere that still retained.

“I WANT HIM TO SERVE ME” an annoying voice disrupted the two as they looked up, staring at a high school girl throwing a tantrum.

“All his doing is flirting… what type of employee just sits there and doesn’t work?” the girl squealed as he couldn’t help but feel his cheeks heat up. *F-flirting?* he thought before he stared intently into your eyes.

“Err… guess I have to fix that… be right back…” he quickly mumbled until he ran towards the commotion. Laying a reassuring hand on Baekhyun’s shoulder, D.O helped Baekhyun with the customer service for a short while. He needed a break from the 'exciting' chat

“Hyung… what do I do?” D.O asked quickly as he briefly smiled at the customer and placed the coffee down.

“What do you mean, uhm… hand out the coffee?” Baekhyun replied through closed lips as he awkwardly smiled at the group of girls.

They could only talk when they neared each other. The high school girls were rather demanding customers and if they didn’t obey, and got fired. Lee Soo Man would’ve killed them both. This work experience as he called it was a way to build up some confidence when talking with strangers. So all 6 of them were forced to take shifts in this cafe.

“No hyung… with Jihae…” D.O mumbled as he walked towards the kitchen.

“Yah be yourself… I didn’t suspect you to be like Sehun around girls…” Baekhyun replied with a wicked smile as D.O stood there dumbfounded.

“I’m not like that… i-it-it’s… just… her…” D.O softly mumbled as he glared at you. You were sitting down all lonely while staring softy out of the window. “Wait… so she’s the awkward one?” Baekhyun mentioned raising an eyebrow as D.O let out a sigh.

“N-no it’s just… I-I just can’t speak around… her…” D.O motioned towards you, as you stared curiously into the cup of coffee that Baekhyun placed on your table earlier. *Cute…* he couldn’t help but think but got interrupted by Baekhyun.

“Eww… you two… your sooo… cute and shy…” Baekhyun formed a heart shape with his hands as several squeals erupted throughout the café. *Man those high school girls are getting annoying...* D.O thought but again got interrupted by a Baekhyun who apparently had the same thoughts. “There not directed to you…” he softly mumbled next to D.O as D.O let out a chuckle.

“Hyung…” he softly whined, but was quickly shut down. “Araso, araso… I’ll stop teasing you two… just be straightforward… I have a REALLY good feeling that she might have the same strange feelings as you…” Baekhyun said with a soft smile as D.O stared at him dumbfounded.

“So what do I say?” D.O asked as Baekhyun let out a soft sigh…

“I don’t know… anything… how about… err… does she like… monkeys?” Baekhyun let out a soft chuckle as D.O walked back towards your desk with a sigh.

“Your useless hyung… useless…” D.O said as Baekhyun cracked up laughing. A couple of the high school females were sighing and giggling well since… he looked damn fine laughing, as they all lay their heads on their hands, daydreaming. 

“Welcome back” the female beamed at him as D.O felt his cheeks burn up. *Man… is it getting hot in here?* quickly he reached out for the cup of coffee in the middle of the desk as he felt his skin brush against someone else's hand.

The two froze in movements, as you both eyed D.O’s hand that was wrapped around yours as you both held onto the coffee. *Her skin is so smooth…* he awkwardly cleared his throat as the female quickly backed her hand away. He too retracted in return, and sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. *Is that what skinship is?* he wondered as he noticed the female’s bright red cheeks.

*Gosh she’s soo… cute…* he thought again before stuttering out, “Er… you can drink it.”

Softly pausing for a moment, you eyed the drink than him before grabbing it and taking a sip from it.

*wow… its even more awkward now…* he thought as you both stayed silent, smiling each other with equally red cheeks. “Err… it’s getting hot in here…* he mentioned as he lightly grabbed his collar. The female let out a bright cheery smile, but as soon as their eyes connected, the laughing stopped and they both looked away. *awkward… quick think of something D.O-ah…* he racked his brain before letting out an idiotic smile.

“So… uhmm… do… you… like… monkeys?” he softly asked.

COMPLETE AND UTTER AWKWARD SILENCE. She looked at him dumbfounded as he bit on his bottom lip. Finally erupting into laughter, the female didn’t stop her laugh. Undeniably it was a beautiful and hearty chuckle, but D.O couldn’t help but regret listening to Baekhyun.

*Aishh… now she thinks I’m an idiot… I. HATE. YOU. BAEKHYUN.* D.O thought completely reddened, as the female continued her carefree laugh.

hopefully you guys didnt get confused with the swap of Point of Views... During D.O's point of view... i refer to you as 'she' and 'female' because i didnt want you to get confused... i might have slipped alot and wrote 'you' instead... SO DONT GET CONFUSED LOL

KEKE this was such a fun chapter to write... i was meant to stop the chapter earlier... when D.O walked away to talk to Baekhyun but nah.... it seems alot better as a full chapter right?
