They were inside the car, with Seung Hyun reading the notes while listening to the IPod. Yi Jung was fiddling around with her phone. The car had been motionless for quite some time. Yi Jung looked up and realised they were in a traffic jam.

"Oh gosh... Why is there suddenly a jam today?" She asked softly.

"It is unexpected, lady. It isn't moving." Mr Kim said from the front. Yi Jung pouted a little, then leaned back on the seat again. She lightly tapped Seung Hyun beside her. Seung Hyun pulled out one of the earpieces, turning to her.

"We are stuck in a jam." She said. "We may not be able to reach school as early as usual."  He turned to the front to see loads of cars infront.

"That's why I said you should speed up in the morning. What are you doing locking yourelf in the room for such a long time?" He became upset for not being able to arrive at school early like he always did. "It's not like you look prettier after all the time you wasted staring into the mirror." She snorted and rolled her eyes.

"Why are you venting your frustrations on me? It's not my fault for stucking here." She defended.

"Yes, you have got nothing to do with the traffic jam, but it is your fault for being slow."

"We will be stuck in this even if I was faster."

"We could have avoid this jam."

"Aish!" Yi Jung looked away and kicked her legs in frustrations, not wanting to talk to him anymore.

"Bye, Mr Kim." Yi Jung quickly slammed the door closed and ran inside the campus without looking at Mr Kim. Seung Hyun had his hands inside his pockets, walking leisurely behind her.

"I'm so sorry...!" Yi Jung reached the classroom, her palm pressing on the door as she bent down to catch her breath.

Seung Hyun appeared behind her and just entered the room to his seat. Ignoring his irritating arrogant personality, Yi Jung turned back to Mr Ham.

"Miss Yi, one more time, you will be sent out."

"Yes. I'm sorry." She hung her head low as she apologised again. She walked in and went to her seat.

"What's up?" Tae Hyun asked as she sat down.

"It's weird. There's actually a traffic jam today..." She whispered to him. His lips formed an 'O' shape and nodded knowingly. Pulling out her textbook, she saw Ji Eun from the corner of her eyes and remembered the incident yesterday.

"Oh ya." She turned to Tae Hyun who turned to her, waiting for her to continue. "How did it went yesterday?"

"What?"

"You caught up with Ji Eun-ssi, didn't you?" She saw him turned away. "Why?"

"Forget it." He simply said, which made her more confused.

"Why? What happened?" She probed.

"Just..." He hesitated.

"Tae Hyun ah, you can tell me." She assured him. He sighed before continuing.

"I don't know. Maybe she dislikes or is afraid of me." Yi Jung cocked her head slightly to the side.

"What happened?" She asked softly, noticing that Tae Hyun was hurt.

"She seems like she is avoiding me." He forced out a small smile, looking down on his lap. Yi Jung watched him, feeling sorry for him. She turned to see Ji Eun's back, silently sighing.

Mr Ham, Ji Eun and Seung Hyun were outside the staffroom.

"Mr Choi, I heard that you did turn up for the peer tuturing with Miss Park. What happened? Is there something you really don't understand for you to get 4/20 for the test?" Mr Ham asked.

"It's just what you have seen." Seung Hyun replied nonchantly, looking elsewhere.

"I'm sorry. I didn't do a good job. I'm sorry." Ji Eun started, bowing to Mr Ham. Mr Ham sighed.

"Mr Choi, I have done what I can. If this is what you want, then..." Mr Ham then walked away, his last bit of hope and patience were gone. Seung Hyun started on his way to lunch, ignoring everything, leaving Ji Eun alone at the hallway. Yi Jung who happened to come down the stairs, turned around the corner and saw Ji Eun stoning, back facing her. Ji Eun's head was held low as she sighed and started to walk.

"Ji Eun-ssi!" Yi Jung called, running towards her. Ji Eun turned back and saw her. She put on a smile and waited for Yi Jung to come over.

"Hello, Jung-ssi." Ji Eun bowed and Yi Jung bowed back.

"Are you going to lunch? Can we eat together?" Yi Jung asked. Ji Eun looked at her blankly for a while before deciding to accept the offer. She nodded, smiling.

"Wah... Finally it's time to eat...!" Yi Jung softly cried, placing down the tray. Ji Eun was already seated with her tray. Together, they unwrapped the food.

"Are you fine now?" Yi Jung asked after swallowing a mouthful of chicken salad. Ji Eun looked at her, slightly confused at what she was at. "About yesterday." Ji Eun then smiled a little as she looked down again, hands holding onto her sandwich.

"Yes, I am. Thank you. Please don't be so worried." She said in a soft voice.

"Apart from me, there's a person who is more worried for you." Yi Jung told her, looking at her face. Ji Eun looked at her, waiting for her to say more.

"Tae Hyun..." Hearing his name, Ji Eun awkwardly looked away as she placed the sandwich onto the tray. "He is really worried and it's my first time seeing that worried sick look on him." Ji Eun remained quiet, looking down. "He just wants to be your friend."

"Jung-ssi," Ji Eun finally spoke, lifting her head. "I did tell you about Seung Hyun-ssi, right? Our relationship." Yi Jung nodded. "I'm scared." Yi Jung slightly cocked her head to the side, eyebrows furrowed a little.

"After being played, I'm scared. I'm so afraid that I would be humilated by someone again." Yi Jung saw pain and sorrow in Ji Eun's orbs. "I just want to protect myself."

"Even though I just came to this school, from what I see, Tae Hyun isn't what you thought he is." Yi Jung tried to defend Tae Hyun.

"Jung-ssi," Ji Eun called again. "It's really my first time seeing someone so cool and possesses such sense of justice. I was proven right again yesterday. You are a nice person and I don't wish someone like you to experience what I had gone through." She said, looking straight into Yi Jung's sockets. "Try not to be too close to Tae Hyun-ssi." Yi Jung showed more confusion.

"Ji Eun-ssi... What are you talking about?"

"Please don't continue because of fun. Tae Hyun-ssi is much more than you thought."

"I-I don't get you." Yi Jung was getting more and more puzzled as time ticked away.

"You don't?" Ji Eun looked at her, eyes furrowed a bit. Yi Jung slowly shook her head, really don't know what Ji Eun was talking about.

"I'm sorry but by any chance, you are playing Tae Hyun-ssi too?" Yi Jung was shocked at her sudden words. She inched back, looking at her in sheer horror.

"What are you talking about? How can you say that?"

"I'm so sorry." Ji Eun quickly apologised. "I didn't mean that. It's just..." Yi Jung just continued to stare at her in disbelief. "Then... By any chance, did you know what kind of person Tae Hyun-ssi is?" Ji Eun asked cautiously.

"He is a very good friend. A nice guy that helps me since the first day I got here."

"Jung-ssi, I think you should know this." Ji Eun said, serious about the whole thing. Yi Jung waited for her to continue.

"Tae Hyun-ssi, he is a playboy." Yi Jung's eyes widened. "A very notorious one."

"Even though you doesn't like him, you shouldn't say such things about him." Yi Jung couldn't believe her ears and it was hard for her to accept.

"Please, believe me." Ji Eun said, hoping Yi Jung would listen. "If Seung Hyun-ssi was to be found fooling with girls, then Tae Hyun-ssi is worse than him." Looking at Yi Jung's shocked face, she continued. "Tae Hyun-ssi, is a bigger playboy than Seung Hyun-ssi."

"I think I gave you a scare." Ji Eun said as they were walking back to class. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you aren't aware of it. I even..." Her voice faded away. Yi Jung turned to her, waiting for her to continue.

"I'm sorry. The thought of you fooling with Tae Hyun-ssi shouldn't even brush passed my mind. I'm so sorry."

"No, it's okay." Yi Jung smiled faintly then asked again. "But why would you have such thoughts?"

"Everyone was gossiping since you first came." Ji Eun said. "You were with Tae Hyun and his gang since the first day." Yi Jung smiled and looked down. The both of them looked at their shoes as they walked quietly

"But," Yi Jung started, lifting her head up to Ji Eun who also lifted her head to meet her's. "I'm saying this because I have spent some time with them. They don't look like they are playboys. I would have known if they are really bad guys who break girls' heart."

"This is what I known of them. The whole school knows. They could have changed, but I just want to be careful." Yi Jung nodded slightly.

"So, does that means you will not give a chance to that person if he is a player? Be it just friends or lovers?" Yi Jung asked, hoping that there was a teeny weeny chance for her friend. Ji Eun smiled, looking down again.

"I guess so..." Yi Jung watched her, feeling sorry for her scary experience and not being able to move on.

"Babe..." Tae Hyun tapped Yi Jung's shoulder from the back when he saw her walking out of the ladies' alone. Yi Jung turned back and when she saw him, Ji Eun's words immediately rang in her ears. She gently pushed his hand off.

"Don't call me that." With that, she continued to walk, with Tae Hyun looking at her, bewildered at her sudden change. He walked up beside her.

"What's wrong? Did something happened?" He asked, concerning about her.

"It's nothing of the sort. I just don't wish people to see me like I'm fooling with you."

"What are you talking about?" He asked, feeling strange about it. Yi Jung stopped in her tracks, sighed and turned to face him.

"Why didn't you tell me about it?" She asked out of nowhere.

"About what?" He asked.

"That you are a playboy." He looked as if he was caught for something he wanted to hide. Yi Jung continued to stare at him.

"I heard that you are a bigger player Seung Hyun. Why didn't you say?" She asked again.

"How am I suppose to tell you? How am I suppose to just say I am a player? Is it something I should tell the whole world? I thought you have known from the start so I didn't say anything about it."

"How am I suppose to know?" Yi Jung talked back. Yes, he did flirt with her, but when someone flirts, it doesn't mean that the person is a player, right?

"The guys and I have been hitting on you from the beginning, you didn't know?"

"What?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "I have no idea about it. So you are saying how you have treated me is just to get me? To get me to fall for your trick? You are building a truthful friendship between us just to trick me?" She started to feel disgusted and mad at him. She thought he was really a friend and yet... Yi Jung glared at him one last time before walking off. Tae Hyun caught her hand, stopping her from going further.

"What are you doing?" Yi Jung looked down at her hand then back to him. "Won't you let go?" She slightly raised her voice, trying to fling his hand off.

"I treated you whole-heartedly, like a friend." He started, looking deep in her eyes. "Thinking that you already knew that we are players, you are still willing to be our friend. We did thought that maybe, you are also a player and is just playing along with us. But we soon came to a conclusion that you are not. Do you know how surprised the guys and I were when Dong Hyuk told us how you helped him in the party?" He asked, pouring his heart out. "For the first time," He said slightly louder. "Someone didn't avoid us despite knowing what kind of people she is mixing with. For the first time, someone actually treated us like friends." Tae Hyun was touched by her sincerity since then. Yi Jung stared back at him, a little guilty for saying what she just said. She looked down, sighing softly. He loosened his grip, his hand dropped back to his side and made his way back alone.

Back in class after lunch, Yi Jung and Tae Hyun were having lessons. They have not talk since the conversation they had during lunch. Yi Jung looked to her side, seeing Tae Hyun looking at the other side. She could only look back and continue copying the notes. At the ring of the dismissal bell, Tae Hyun stood up and headed to the door, leaving without a word. Yi Jung looked up and quickly grabbed her things, going after him, slightly knocked onto Seung Hyun's shoulder as he bent to pick up his bag and threw it onto one of his shoulders. Seung Hyun saw how she ran out of the door in a rush. Something inside him suddenly started to 'oppose' and 'object', like this shouldn't be happening. Shaking away the weird foreign feeling again, he walked out.

"Tae Hyun ah...!" Yi Jung called, still running behind him. "Wait..." She held his wrist, panting as she looked up at him. He turned to her with a blank expression.

"I'm sorry." She uttered in between her pants. Her eyes revealed sheer sincerity. She slowly let go of him.

"I'm just shocked. You are a good friend and I don't wish that this would change." Still seeing his cold eyes, she added cautiously.

"Are you angry?"

"Done with the talking?" Tae Hyun simply asked and walked away, without waiting for Yi Jung's reply. Yi Jung was once again, surprised.

"Yah..." She ran up beside him, her voice slightly whiny. He turned to her.

"Players don't mess with nice girls. Get lost." He said and continued walking.

"Can't we be friends?" She asked, feeling sad.

"But I am a player. A bigger player than Choi Seung Hyun."

"The fact that you are talking to me now shows that you are not as bad as what people think. The fact that you are concerned about me, the fact that you are worried for Ji Eun-ssi, they all show that you are just like any other teenagers." Tae Hyun looked at her, was once again touched deep inside his heart.

"And even if you are a bigger player than Choi Seung Hyun, I know you are not as jerkish as him." Tae Hyun then chuckled softly.

"What is 'jerkish'? Is there such a word?" Yi Jung smiled.

"There is in my dictionary." Their smiles became wider.

"So we are still friends, right?" She asked.

"I'm glad to be." He replied. "No harm since you are hot." He leaned in and whispered to her ear. She inched back, giving him a weird stare.

"Yah..."

"You will not do anything if I'm hitting on you, right? Since we are friends." She rolled her eyes.

"You will never know."

"Let's see then." Then they started chuckling. Tae Hyun calmed down and watched her, feeling the warmth that she was giving even though it was nothing in other people's eyes. To him, it was something he yearned for. The both of them walked out together.

"You need a lift?" He asked when they reached his car. She shook her head, smiling faintly.

"My driver will be here." She said.

"Then I will get going?" She nodded, waving. Tae Hyun closed the door and waved before driving off. Yi Jung smiled as she looked down, walking out of the gate to wait for Mr Kim to arrive. She stood by the gate, looking down as she waited patiently.

"Is it here?" She heard a deep voice asked and when she looked up, she saw a group of people, consisting of both genders, rushing towards the gate. They were looking at something that somewhat looked like a photo as they hastily walked. Meeting eyes with Yi Jung, the man holding onto the photo looked down to the photo again, more carefully this time and his head spun up to Yi Jung.

"She's the one, isn't it?!" He suddenly pointed at her and asked loudly. The other people in the group looked at Yi Jung, back to the photo then back to Yi Jung.

"It's her! Get her!" One of the women shouted and they charged towards Yi Jung. Yi Jung was so taken aback that she only stared back at them with widened eyes. One of the women started to tug on her roughly.

"You wretch! You think you and your family can get away after all these?! God made us find you today to cough out everything. When are you going to pay us!" The women yelled, pushing Yi Jung back onto the brick wall behind her. It was only then Yi Jung realised that those were the creditors. It stunned her more and she was at lost. She could not even speak a word.

"Quickly tell us where you parents are! If not, pay up!" A man bellowed, glaring at Yi Jung.

"Because of you people, my family is suffering!" Another screamed.

"I don't know..." Yi Jung could only say this. Everyone had crowded around to watch the commotion.

"You think we are going to buy that?! You people cannot do this!"

"I really don't know where my parents are." Tears had already escaped Yi Jung's eyes. It was too terrifying for her to face these people alone.

"You are their daughter. Would you not know?!" Seung Hyun saw the commotion from inside and came out, walking over to the crowd. Seeing what was infront of him, his eyes widened in surprise.

"I really don't know!" Yi Jung finally shouted, streams of tears flowing down her cheeks. The creditors stopped what they were doing seeing Yi Jung's state.

"Even if you found them, they have no money to pay you."

"I just knew it. You are just stopping us from getting them!"

"I really don't know!" She cried desperately. "I also want to know where they are! They left me and fleed. They left me alone!" She couldn't control and continued to raise her voice. The creditors looked elsewhere after listening to her story.

"Please let me know if you happened to find them..." She said softly through her heartbroken cries. "Please don't push them for the debts. They would pay if they have the money. It's because they don't have that they escaped!" Yi Jung finally broke down, sliding down the wall, crying her eyes out.

"I really miss them..." She continued to cry, making others' heart shattered just from hearing her heart-wrenching cries and quick grasps for air.
