Haunted by Past-14
Chocolate & CoffeeNew Updates begin at Chapter 23
He wakes up on unfamiliar couch, with an unfamiliar blanket, in an unfamiliar house. It's eerily quiet and he can't sense any other person in the house. Looking down at himself, he sees that he's still in the clothes from yesterday.
Changwook's barely aware of the hangover because of the unknown place. So he's jumping to his feet and exploring for clues to find out where he is. First thing he notices is his phone, wallet, cigarette pack and lighter are on the coffee table.
He takes his phone with him as he checks behind the dark drapes. When he finds the door, he clumsily opens it to head out to the balcony.
It's a very clean space though there's nothing like plants or chairs or even junk dumped there. When he looks out at the daytime view of the city, he realizes it's the top floor of a high rise in a known place.
From up here, he can see that lane with the movie theatre and half a dozen restaurants he passes every day. If he went down that street and turned that curb by the cafe, he'd arrive in his neighbourhood.

When Changmin strolls into the kitchen, Changwook follows. He watches him bring out a half-filled bag of Starbucks' dark roast coffee beans and puts them in one of the three coffee machines lined on the counter. "Judge me all you want. But I don't like the essence of different beans mixing up in one coffee machine," Changmin sounds rehearsed, like he has to say the exact line to anyone who sees his collection of coffee makers. But those people were not Changwook.
"I feel the same. But my mother took away my second coffee machine because I really just have the one roast."
Changmin's amusement is obvious as he looks through his refrigerator for things he needs to make a French toast. He doesn't really go all out for a guest ever. But he really wants to eat French toast.
Meanwhile Changwook stands there awkwardly, staring at the running coffee machine. "So... this is your place?... you live so close?..."
"I just found out yesterday myself..." Changmin gives him a mug to help himself to the coffee when he sees Changwook's confusion. "You mean you don't remember me driving you to your place and seeing Minyoung's car and then wailing at me to drive off?"
Changwook's jaw is unhinged as the
