JaeIn P.O.V

The teacher is standing in front of the class writing and pointing something that is written on the board, our exam are in a week time, but my head can't seem to consume anything. I tried to concentrate and focused on the board but it seems impossible. My eyes kept on darting from the corridor, the door and his seat, but there's still no sign of JaeJoong. Today classes are almost over but I didn't see JaeJoong in any of the class.

Is something wrong? Probably yesterday's scars wasn't a normal scar, and he got an infection. Then he must go to the hospital to have the doctor check on his hand, maybe he need to amputate his hand because it's getting worst.

NO!

I drop my head to my textbook, shaking it side to side.

That won't happen. Stop thinking too much JaeIn.

"JaeIn." Amber whispers.

I turn to the side to face her, "Hm?"

"Are you feeling alright?"

"Yup." I plainly said.

"Do you need to go to the nurse's office?" she ask, worried.

I sit back straight, "No, I'm fine Amber, thanks." I gave her a smile before turning my attention back to the board.

I need to stop thinking about JaeJoong. He is fine, it's just me who is thinking too much. He probably got things to do, just like what he said yesterday. That is why he probably don't have anytime to go to school. He'll come to school soon, when he got the time. I don't need to worry too much.

What am I doing here?

I've been trying to tell myself not to worry about him and yet my feet seems to drag me to his place. So here I am, right in front of his front gate.

I took a deep breath and press on the bell, which was immediately welcome by the security through the intercom.

"Who is it?"

"Umm...It's JaeIn." I clear my throat.

Few seconds later, the gate opens and I step in. It's been a long time since I came here, all those tension that I thought I had gotten used to, seems to be coming back. What should I say when JaeJoong is there? What if JaeJoong is okay? What if Tiffany is there too? Things would be awkward if I met her. Maybe I shouldn't have come. I should go home.

Just before I can turn around, I was welcome by halmoni. "Good to see you JaeIn. It's been a while." she smile and pull me into a hug, and I can feel all the comfort I need as I hug her back. The hug last for a while before she pull back and let me come in.

"Take a seat, while I make you some tea." she said,

I take a seat and look around, tapping my fingers on my knees awkwardly. It's not like I'm here for the first time, but being here alone just feel...weird. I don't exactly know what to or not to do. I then spotted some papers on the coffee table, neatly stacked on top of a brown folder. It looks like somebody, probably halmoni read this just before I arrive.
I look closer and realize it's a doctor's test result. Did anyone got sick? My hand reached for the papers and read through it. JaeJoong's and Mason's name is written on the paper. I scan the paper thoroughly and realize it was a DNA test, and it said....Mason's is not JaeJoong's son.

I put the paper back and ran to the kitchen to find halmoni. Questions that I want to ask her are piling on my mind, 'Is the test paper true?', 'Is Mason's not JaeJoong's son?', 'Who is Mason's dad?' But I decided to kept silent, and walk towards the stool.

"Need any help?" I ask.

"You don't have to." she refuse, while still carefully preparing our tea.

"I can help with the snacks." I offer.

She stare at me for a full second, before she smile "That'll be very helpful."

I jump from my seat and walk towards the cabinet where they placed the plates, taking out the beautiful white plate and arrange the cookies on it.

"Halmoni." I call out.

"Yes?" she turn to me.

"JaeJoong's not home, right?" I asked, and I saw her froze for a second before she turn her back to me, "He isn't. He got some matters to attend to."

"Oh..." I awkwardly tapped on the table "When is he going to come home?"

"Soon, I hope." she put down the tea grinder and turn around, "The tea will be ready soon, why won't you-." she stopped as she noises from the living room, "I'll go out to check on things, can you wait here and wait on the tea dear?" She ask.

I nod, "Sure."

"Thank you." she smiled and rush out.

I fiddled my finger and kept looking back from the kitchen door to the tea. Something told me that it was JaeJoong who came
