Baekhyun was so hopeless in terms of finding someone that he deemed good enough to be his girlfriend, much more someone that the can spend his whole life with. To say that he is ignorant enough to make move to anyone to start his romance life was a bit wrong; as his excuses will be more into his busiest life as an entertainer.

 

Was it few years ago? When Baekhyun had his last relationship with a rookie girl group member, which was not even more than 3 months being together before he concluded that, it wasn’t the time yet for him to give his commitment to someone. He was still in the peak time of his group, EXO career at that time, there is no way that he can divide his time well considering how much he love his job.

 

But then as the times grow further and one after another his band mates starting to settle down and get married; he does think about to find someone just like his other brothers. But again, Baekhyun is such a busy man juggling between his singing and acting careers and relationship was just not even into his priority list.

 

He chuckles when remember the thought that he once said to his friend; that he was so sure that he will be fine and not die due to being so lonely at his age now. Funny how he was so into that principle until his best friend, Hwayoung introduced him to her cousin, which Baekhyun think, so pretty.

 

“Fancy too see you here, Min Se-ri” He greeted her when he spotted her during the next gathering that Sehun and his wife hosted.

 

“You too, Baekhyun” She said politely. “I’m sorry too, for not replying your text messages last time. I was so busy in setup my clinic that time”

 

She does sound genuine but as a man, Baekhyun couldn’t help but to feel hurt as thought she was rejecting him. “Well, I was a bit sad thinking that my first step being rejected just like that. But maybe if that made you feel bad, we can go out just two of us, for drinks?”

 

“Like— right now?” She asked him. “We are in the middle of gathering, Byun Baekhyun. What will Sehun and Hwayoung say?”

 

Really, Se-Ri doesn’t have to worry about this because the newlyweds already had given their blessing for them. Hwayoung, she was delighted to see her outgoing cousin and her goofy best friend date each other and Sehun, he couldn’t be more agreed as he thought Baekhyun and Se-Ri does match for each other.

 

It’s quite predictable to see how Baekhyun begging him to get her wife cousin contact number continuously when he already said no at the first time his best friend asked. Sehun purposely did that to see if he is being serious about getting to know Se-Ri. After all, after seeing the two bickering the other day, he already got the hints that was Baekhyun way to get her attention.

 

Baekhyun found her cute being nervous and anxious like that. Well he does think everything about her is cute. “They wouldn’t mind, I’m sure they would love if their best friend end up dating their cousin”

 

“Ugh— we are not going to date,” She paused and eyes him suspiciously. “Well, at least not until you make move to me” And continue to .

 

“I didn’t know you well yet but I might say that you are being flirty here now miss” Baekhyun said as he come closer to her.

 

She shrugged. “I’m just saying but I don’t really trust a guy like you, heartbreaker type— sweet talker and being all nice to girl which end up, I’m not the only girl receiving it”

 

“Might give you head up, you may need to prepare your heart” Not only his hints give her goosebumps, but when he close the gap between them and whispering into her ears, “Give me three dates— that’s all I want. I will make you change your mind about me”

 

 

 

Notre premier rendez-vous; Our first date

 

All of sudden he felt like eighteen again, feeling all giddy and nervous with sweats all over his head, occasionally checking his face again on the rear mirror to make sure he looks presentable on that night. Baekhyun always care about his appearance and after winning brands reputation for male idols for several time, he thought that he doesn’t need to worry about it.

 

But then, this would be their first date and he have so much things to offer, to show and to provide to his date. It will take much more dates than what he had promised but the first one always worries him. What if she decided he is just a loser and leave him on seen after they come back? Or worse, not even show up after he had waited for 30 minutes?

 

His mobile phone ringing showing a notification board pop up with a message from the person he waited. She wasn’t being late but Baekhyun purposely coming early just to be more ready and in hope to leave some good impression. Se-Ri had sent him quick message that she will coming down in minutes, all in caps as she was panic her date has arrived.

 

“Sorry to keep you waiting Baekhyun, I was looking for another pair of my earring” She look at him apologetically. “I have to look pretty for our first date”

 

Baekhyun smiles and look at her again while his hand made way to her left earring slowly. “It such a nice piece to match with your outfit. You are looking so pretty, sweetheart”

 

Politely, she doesn’t forget to return back the compliment, “You look not bad too, Baekhyun”

 

“Shall we go now?” Se-Ri nodded as Baekhyun drive away.

 

He does prepared everything about the night. The way he kept the roses he bought and only to surprise her when she was about to grab the handle of the door to exit the car when they arrived to the designated place, they way he choose an exclusive table for dinner at five stars hotel and how he took her arm to linked with him as they approaching the lounge; Baekhyun does it like a gentleman.

 

“Be careful, love” As Baekhyun help to hold her waist when she almost tripped at the entrance.

 

“This might be a good chance if I want to embarrass you in public, Mr Global Star, Byun Baekhyun. We might end up in the main headline tomorrow” She as they laughed together.

 

Baekhyun shakes his head playfully. “I won’t mind getting caught as the newspaper headline with pretty girl like you but what if other guy starting to notice you and take you away from me?”

 

“Well, Baekhyun I’m not yours at the first place—“ She wanted to say more but he had cut it off right way.

 

“—not mine, yet” He winks which made her even more flustered.

 

It is the same, clichè moves that she had seen in movies where he pull out the chair to help her to sit, and again, complimenting her how she looks good with a her long satin strappy dress, Se-Ri couldn’t help but to blush at every move Baekhyun made. She love it so much that she might be the one who will aks him for the next date (in case he decided this will be the first and the last one).

 

The ambience, the foods, the music from the live band that keep playing as the background music while they chatting among each other, trying to get know better, make the romantic dinner even more perfect. Maybe, Baekhyun was the one who made it magical.

 

 

 

Notre deuxième rendez-vous: Our second date

 

The idea itself coming from Se-Ri. Home date or whatever it called but Baekhyun getting excited immediately upon hearing it from the girl. She suggested for them to hang out at her place as after all, Baekhyun is still an idol which have image that he need to protect and getting caught at public for their date will not make any better for a famous artist like him and unknown dentist which come out of nowhere.

 

But as he still in his three dates mission Baekhyun insist that they she should have come to his apartment instead and cuddles all day during their off day. Funny, that Se-Ri glares at him immediately when he initiated the agenda into the list. Being an artist and dentist causes the clash of availability on their schedule, but somehow they make it work.

 

“Come in baby, make yourself home” Baekhyun hold her hand and guide her into his apartment once she stepped in.

 

It does made her heart flipped every time Baekhyun calls her with different pet names. It is getting hard for Se-Ri to hide that she loves all that. “You have such a great house, Baekhyun. You live alone?” She asked as she diverted her attention to the interior of the apartment.

 

He nodded as guided her to sit at the stool of the kitchen island, while he makes his way to start cooking. “I live alone but I kind of open the idea to have you as my roommates. Imagine everyday waking up to angelic face like this?” Teasing her is one of Baekhyun favourite things to do recently.

 

“What would you like to have for lunch Se-Ri? Seafood pasta, will that be okay?” He asked as he flexing her with his biceps while holding the pan and spatula on his hands. She had to admit, Baekhyun does looks good in sleeveless.

 

As she getting know him, she wonder how is Baekhyun good with almost everything. He can sing, act, even modelling (she secretly stalking him on internet to see his shots photoshoots with magazine), and now served her with delicious food while looking so hot and boyfriend material—

 

Her heart skip a beat when Baekhyun helped her to wipe out the dirt she had on the corner of lips when they had dinner and caught her in back hugging when she helped him cleaning the dishes. Baekhyun initially wanted to take the glass that hang on wall but of course he had to it on his way, at the same time being flirty.

 

Another factor that made Se-Ri amazed with him was the fact that he does make everything he can to make her feel comfortable, as if they have been together for a long time. He let her explore his apartment like her home, lending her his favourite hoodie while they watching movies and also let her playing with his puppy.

 

“Are you sleepy, baby?” He asked while playing with her hair.

 

She shake her head but her eyes are getting close soon. “I want to watch this till the end. I love watching Titanic!” She whined.

 

“You like this movie that much?” He asked, now prepping some light kiss on head. Baekhyun know that 10 more minutes of cuddles and this girl will end up leaving him alone with the television on.

 

“Romantic type of film is my favourite and Leonardo DiCaprio is basically my husband” Se-Ri hummed while her eyes fix back on the screen.

 

He looks at her immediately with unreadable expression. “Husband? Then what am I?”

 

She hit playfully on his chest. “You haven’t ask me to be the one so—“

 

“I can ask you now but are you sure you can handle it? Because you are quite red and blushing all over your face—“ Baekhyun couldn’t help but to laugh at her reaction.

 

“Shut up Baekhyun! I’m embarrassed!”

 

It’s been 3 hours, half way towards their second movie of the day. They had been snuggled to each other on Baekhyun bed, with Se-Ri head laying on his comfy chest wearing his hoodie and a cute puppy sleeping beside her. Just like a small happy family that Baekhyun can’t wait to have.

 

“Goodnight Baekhyun” She said as drifted to sleep.

 

One last time to admire the beautiful sight in front of him, he hummed and take the duvet to cover them both to keep her warm. Whispering into her softly he then joined her to the dreamland. “Sleep well, my love”

 

Notre troisième rendez-vous: Our third date

 

“You must be kidding me Baekhyun” She stated, a bit serious on her tone as she keep the conversation going.

 

“I’m serious sweetheart, let come with me to Paris and enjoy out third date at the most romantic city in the world” He claimed as he delivered his spontaneous idea to her.

 

“But— that is Paris, Baekhyun. It’s far from here” She negotiate, as she still can’t comprehend with the whole situation.

 

Baekhyun swear that he never be this spontaneous but he does not regret when it comes to her. “I’m sure we will have a good time. Pack your suitcase baby, I will email you the flight ticket”

 

It was pretty crazy and unexpected for Se-Ri. It was just a random conversation about art, museum and paintings, and all off sudden Baekhyun made and offer that she never thinks of. That was like five minutes ago, when it popped out of nowhere that he asked which city that she wanted to come again and without even thinking she named Paris as she love the city the most throughout her travel journey.

 

He does left an impression to her that he is the type that will do everything he can to make someone happy, or in this context, to make she impressed with him. But Se-Ri never thought that he would be this spontaneous by saying “Okay then, come with me darling. I have Privè event there and I can spare few days with you”

 

The next two weeks, Se-Ri already arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Baekhyun had been there few days before she came to participate on his Privè fashion event that was held by the brand. Getting there alone was not a big issue for her as this is what she has been doing before coming back to settle down in Seoul.

 

Of course Baekhyun was quite worried at when she suggested that but luckily she managed to get it under control at the end of their conversation. He had make sure that she need to contact him as soon as she landed and provide him the taxi details as she she took it to get into the same hotel as his.

 

Her eyes widened when she entered the room that he booked for her. It was an executive suite which way too big for one person (unless if he decided to share with her which she didn’t mind at all) and few shopping bags that she spotted on the bed. Se-Ri took the card and read as it stated, “Enjoy your stays in Paris, sweetheart, here is little gifts as you agreed to come with me”

 

King of pampering girls with all loves and luxurious things, Byun Baekhyun.

 

He had hurriedly knock on her room on that night, greet her with so much energy as soon as she opened up. As if they haven’t seen each other back in Seoul, he hugged her tightly, no intention to let her go. It was few seconds after when she tapped on his shoulder telling her that it was enough.

 

Baekhyun quickly let her go and didn’t forget to say sorry as he just missed her and couldn’t wait the whole day of the even to ended as he want to see her beautiful face. He even make a joke how Paris light made her face even more glowing and he had enchanted because of that. Funny Byun Baekhyun is back.

 

Se-Ri had a good time playing tourist around the love city thanks to Baekhyun. Even though she had been here before, but coming with Baekhyun is another level of romantic vibe she felt. It started in the morning when he bring her out to the famous cafe for croissant and hot chocolate for breakfast to museums date, and dinner by the amazing view to wrapped up the day.

 

“My favourite place Eiffel Tower!” She unknowingly jumped a bit when they reached there. Luckily it was midnight and there is not many people, less risqué for them to get caught on public date.

 

She then added, “Thank you bringing me here. I love Paris!”

 

“And I love you, Min Se-Ri” The atmosphere changed immediately as Baekhyun being serious all off sudden.

 

“Baekhyun— I—“ Se-Ri was caught off guard once again when he pull out a small rectangular velvet box, which she already know where this will lead to.

 

He stuttered nervously, “Marry me— Will you marry me, Se-Ri?”

 

“Baekhyun I love you too, but we just getting know each other in a month. Or less. What if later you found out that I wasn’t met your expectations?” She asked him genuinely.

 

“You are enough for me baby. I know we barely know each other. But I do serious about us. I know that I was rushing thing on my own but trust me darling I never been so sure with what I do, but this—“ As he hold her hand and kiss her knuckles, he added, “I want to do this with you. I want a future with you. We could have know each other for years, for months or even for few minutes, but I’m sure it still you that I want”

 

Se-Ri never know that she will shed tears in front of Eiffel Tower but here she is. “What if I just played on you Baekhyun? Since you have paid all my expenses for this trip. I could have run with this ring too. Seems expensive for me”

 

For once, it does hit a Baekhyun for a moment. He gulped and starting to form a word. “Well— that will be unfortunate for me but still, I would still cherish all the times that you have made me happiest man alive” He didn’t lie, it does make him doubt her for a second. Until he saw the playful expressions that she always had.

 

“But I don’t think you are that type of woman” He said confidently, 50 percent sure that he is going back to Seoul the next day as someone fiancé.

 

She shrugged, but at the same could not hide her happy expression. “Then what type of woman do you think I am?”

 

Baekhyun help her to wear the ring, kiss her forehead and hug her for once before staring at her eyes directly, “The type that will be my wife and a mother to my kids. I love you, my Min Se-Ri”

 

“I love you too, my Byun Baekhyun” She had to thanks Baekhyun again as to complete of her wishlist again; to kiss someone she love under the light of romantic city.
