So-dam's long, black hair that reached down to her waist was gone when she and Jaejoong left the beauty parlor. She could barely recognize the woman she saw in the mirror's reflection. Her hair had been cut short. It now barely reached down her neck. It had also been dyed red! Even her eyebrows didn't escape the beauticians, they had trimmed and thinned it.

"Now you look cool and chic. No longer a country girl," commented Jaejoong.

"I don't think I would ever get used to this look."

"You can always change your look, experiment with what suits you best. Just don't go back to your original look."

When they got back to the hotel suite, So-dam found a dark blue evening dress lying on top of her bed. Near it was a note from Mr. Cha,

"You also need a new dress for your new look. ‑ Mr. Cha"

Upon trying the dress, she discovered that it molded to her body and that it only reached her mid-thigh. It was a y dress and there was no way she this dress could hide her knives! She then noticed a pair of dark blue lady's shoes near the bed. Another note from Mr. Cha was attached to it saying that it was also hers.

A knock from the door surprised So-dam. Her heart jumped when she heard Jaejoong's voice.

"Get dressed, So-dam. Be sure to use the clothes prepared by Mr. Cha. We are going to a fancy place for dinner."

            "Wait a minute!"

            "Fifteen minutes!"

She was able to get dressed quickly since she was already made-up. All she needed was a quick trip to the bathroom for some minor rituals and a hurried combing of her short hair. She had no choice but to leave her knives behind. She was about to leave when she noticed three bottles of perfume on the dresser. Like the clothes and shoes, those also have a note from Mr. Cha saying she could choose which perfume she preferred best. She chose the one on the white bottle that smelled like the jasmine flower.

When she opened the door of her room, she found Jaejoong waiting for her. She caught her breath. He was wearing an all black attire. Black T-shirt coupled with a black coat that reached down to his thighs plus black pants and black leather shoes. All he needed was dark glasses, and he could fit in the world of The Matrix.

He also looked gorgeous and so masculine. From how he stood with an imposing stance to how his eyes looked straight into her eyes, Kim Jaejoong was definitely one of the finest male specimen she had ever seen!

There was a quiet confidence in the man, unlike what she was feeling right now. She was all nerves! Jaejoong's dark eyes were studying every inch of her. When he began to nod his head with appreciation, she felt relieved.

"As always, Mr. Cha is impeccable when choosing clothes that completely fits a woman. That dress is perfect for you, So-dam." He held out his hand. "Let's get going. Mr. Cha had a table reserved for us in Coursedon."

"Where is Mr. Cha?" She looked around the suite.

"He is busy getting your papers. His contacts often have their businesses open at night."

She finally took Jaejoong's offered hand. He put her hand in the crook of his elbow. She couldn't help but think that they look like a couple going on a date. She had never experienced going on a date before. Her knowledge about such ritual only came from movies and books. If the movie or book was an action-adventure story, the date would end up with a lot of shooting, running and of course, dead bodies. But if it was a romance, the date often culminated in lovemaking in the bedroom.

She suddenly felt a pang of regret as she remembered all of her romance books written by Misha. She left them in the ranch. It took her time and money just to complete all of Misha's published books. She even had to beg her uncle just to allow her to have one of the maids buy these books for her. It was now impossible for her to get back those books from the ranch.

But the moment she found a job and start earning enough money, she would start buying again all of Misha's books!

She secretly glanced up at Jaejoong's face while they were in the elevator. Jaejoong with his looks and get‑up tonight looked like one of Misha's heroes. If they would follow the usual flow of a romance novel, the hero and heroine would make passionate love after dinner.

She frowned. Was Jaejoong planning to seduce her tonight? Her heart skipped a beat. She felt tensed. Jaejoong was the most attractive and iest man she had ever encountered in her life. Even after she had left Paradise Ranch, she had yet to meet a man who could match up to him. She couldn't deny that there was also an air of danger around him. And she had glimpsed the anger and darkness in his eyes that made her afraid. But despite the fear, she wanted to know the reason for such anger.

If he was the one to get her ity, that wouldn't mean a thing to him. But it would be an unforgettable experience for her. Though she had once offered herself to him, it was all a ruse. She said those words as inducement for him to take her out of the ranch. She did not intend to fulfill such a promise.

Because she believed that a woman should only give herself to the man she loved. And despite the physical attraction she was feeling, she was sure she wasn't in love with Kim Jaejoong.

Mr. Cha's words came back to her. He had warned her not to fall in love with Jaejoong, and she had promised herself she never would.

She was thinking so much she didn't even notice they had already reached the lobby of the hotel. There were a lot of people in there and Jaejoong quickly caught the attention of all the women.

That annoyed So-dam a lot. But it soon dissipated when she realized that the women were also jealous of her because Jaejoong was with her! That gave her some erted sense of joy. She was holding the arm of the most attractive man in the lobby.
