Millie was the first to welcome Jaejoong when he entered the chateau.

            "Welcome home, Sir Jaejoong, Mr. Cha and..," her eyes studied Jessica.

            "Miss Jung," Jessica said, her voice full of condescension. It was clear from her haughty voice that she wanted Millie to know her place.

            Millie's jaws clenched, but she gave Jessica a nod of respect.

            "You must excuse me. I am going to prepare lunch," said Millie as she turned around.

            "Is Hyori here? I saw her car outside," asked Jaejoong.

            "Yes, sir. She often visits here. She and Sandara often go out."

            Jaejoong heard the sound of a car leaving. He peered through the window and saw Hyori's car speeding away. Strange. Was the woman trying to avoid him? Or maybe Hyori had figured out about the upcoming confrontation between Sandara and Jessica. His friend possibly didn't want to be caught in the middle of a cat fight.

            "Where is Sandara?"

            "Who is Sandara?" Jessica asked suspiciously.

            "She went with Madame Hyori out the back door a moment ago," Millie narrated. "She probably hopped into Madame Hyori's car. Madame must have probably convinced her to work for her agency," she said.

            "Millie, let's go to my study room," Jaejoong instructed his housekeeper. "We need to talk. Mr. Cha, you prepare our lunch. And Jessica, make yourself at home."

            Jaejoong walked toward his study room. Millie silently followed.

            After he had closed the door of the room and was assured that he and Millie had complete privacy, he began questioning her.

            "Tell me everything you know."

            "Sandara is in love with you."

            "I already know that."

            "And girls in love usually do crazy things. Because of love, I allowed myself to turn a blind eye on all the faults of the man I loved. Because of that, I made a mistake of marrying him and became a battered a wife. If not for you and Mr. Cha's help, I might not have been able to escape my abusive husband. It's even possible that he could have killed me by now."

            "What's the connection‑"

            Millie continued talking.

            "But brokenhearted girls do crazier things. And After Sandara saw that you have brought your lover Jessica in the chateau, and by the way, anyone could clearly see that you and that arrogant woman have an intimate relationship!"

            "Get to the point, Millie!" Jaejoong was getting exasperated.

            "Madame Hyori offered a solution to Sandara's heartbreak. She promised to introduce the most eligible bachelors in France to Sandara. Men who would appreciate and love her. And at the same time, she would also have the chance to earn a lot of money and become financially independent. And since she's a , she would be a very expensive courtesan.".

            Jaejoong's mouth fell open.

            "What! Sandara agreed to become a courtesan?!"

            Jaejoong stared hard at the housekeeper.

            "You have become like Mr. Cha You two are starting to sound alike, you are like a couple that had been married for years."

            Millie's eyes widened while her face turned crimson.

            "That's preposterous! Mr. Cha hardly sees me as a woman!" she sputtered. "And I am simply saying what I know. Everything I said is the truth!"

            Jaejoong walked out of the study room. He discovered Mr. Cha outside. The butler was clearly eavesdropping. And he wasn't even ashamed of his behavior.
