“How do you think you did?” Taehyung asked as soon as the last bell rang and signaled that the school day was over. Everyone was quick to gather their things and leave as quickly as possible. Most of the student’s expressions glum.

“Who are you asking?” Jungkook asked looking exhausted.

“Both of you obviously!” Taehyung replied with an indignant look.

“I don’t know, I’m just going to hope for the best,” Jimin replied with a sigh and frown.

“Same for me… those questions were brutal… especially math,” Jungkook said.

“Now that makes me worried…” Taehyung stated.

“Why?” Jimin asked.

“Cause I thought they weren’t that bad?” Taehyung replied.

“Maybe that’s 'cause you’re smart hyung,” Jungkook said.

“Not as smart as you two. So if you two thought it was difficult, I must have bombed it.” Taehyung said with a frown.

“We aren’t smarter then you Tae, if you found it easy that’s great. It means you studied well!” Jimin encouraged.

“Not easy!” Taehyung protested while shaking his head causing his lavender hair to flop all over his head, “just not that bad.”

“Which still means you studied well,” Jimin insisted.

Taehyung sighed, “I suppose we’ll see when the results are released.”

“Yeah,” Jungkook said before releasing a long sigh.

The three quickly packed their things and headed out, finding the elders and asking them how their exams had gone as they all loitered around to talk.

“I think I did decent,” Jin said while putting away his things in his locker.

“I may have to try harder next time if I want to pass the school year,” Hoseok said with a shrug not seeming too worried.

“How about you Namjoon hyung?” Jungkook prompted, seeing the elder wasn’t paying attention to the conversation and was instead on his phone.

“Hmm? What did you ask?” Namjoon asked looking away from his phone and towards his friends with a confused expression.

“How did your exams go, hyung?” Taehyung asked.

“Oh. They went well I think, how about you guys?” Namjoon asked but his attention was back on his phone as he tapped away on it.

“What are you doing on your phone right now?” Jin asked, peeking over Namjoon’s shoulder. Hoseok did the same and then gasped.

“Wait, is that an email from that professor you were trying to get an internship with?!” Hoseok asked, excited for Namjoon.

“He finally replied? What did he say?!” Jin asked trying to read through the email but Namjoon lowered his phone.

“Ah… well, he offered me the position,” Namjoon said sheepishly while looking at the others.

There was a stunned silence before they all erupted into cheers and began congratulating the pink-haired male. Quite a few students who were also lingering around the hallways glanced over at them for the sudden increased noise but no one said anything.

“That’s great! Were you busy writing your reply? What are you going to say?” Jimin asked.

“I was going to thank him for the opportunity and ask for details about when I’d start and other things… I just can’t figure out how to word it at the moment… maybe because I’m too nervous?” Namjoon mused mostly to himself.

“Don’t reply right away then, calm down and write out your reply later today,” Jin suggested and then leaned forward to peck Namjoon’s cheek. “I’m really proud of you by the way. I knew you could do it,” Jin continued causing Namjoon to blush and smile at the eldest sweetly.

“Aww, our hyungs are so cute,” Taehyung said and then blushed when Hosoek leaned towards him to kiss his cheek.

“We’re surrounded by couples Jimin-ah, what do we do as the only single people here?” Jungkook joked rolling his eyes.

“Jiminie isn’t single remember Kookie?” Taehyung teased, “you’re the only single one here.”
