I open the taxi door and get my luggage. When I look towards the house, I realize it's not a house but a mansion. My jaw immediately falls to the floor and my mind is blown. "Y-y-your h-house is huge!" I said, nearly dropping my luggage.

"Thanks?" Mr. Jo smiles. He leads me up the walkway and towards the grand door. After he types in a code, the door opens with a click. It literally felt like happiness was through that door and I imagined little flower pedals flying out. I smiled and stepped in the house with Mr. Jo. He was greeted by a couple of maids. 5 maids standing in two lines of two and three. 

“Annyeonghasaeyo Mr. Jo.” they bowed, then saw me, “And guest.” I smiled at the maids and the first thing I thought was that their outfits were really cute! I then facepalmed myself for thinking something so silly... But the outfits were really cute. Following Mr. Jo into the kitchen, I noticed how beautiful the house really was. It was very modern looking, using a lot of gray, black and white. The furniture was were very squared and the mood of the house seemed very sophisticated. 

“How about you eat something first. Then I will take you on a tour of my home.” Mr. Jo said and pulled a chair out for me. I gladly sat down and waited. One of the maids entered the kitchen and started to cook something. I looked around the area some more and then looked at what I was wearing. It was an old plaid shirt that I’d had for years. I was also very dirty looking and I felt as if I made the whole room, off. Frowning, I felt like a failure, because I couldn’t even take care of myself, let alone six other siblings. My thoughts were cut off by the maid. 

“Here’s your meal, miss.” the maid said. I smiled and thanked her. She made me a steak with rice and some veggies and kimchi. I’d only eaten steak... Actually I’ve never had steak! I cut it awkwardly with the small amount of knowledge I had with forks and knives and took a bite of the steak. It. Was. Delicious. I smiled such a huge smile my steak nearly fell out of my mouth! Maybe it tasted even better because I hadn’t eaten in days. I was so focused on eating I didn’t even realize Mr. Jo was sitting in front of me. 

“Enjoying that steak?” he asked. 

I coughed, not realizing he probably just saw me eating like a pig. “Yeah.. Sorry for my... manners. I’m not used to this type of life.” I said, wiping my mouth clean. 

“It’s alright. I totally understand. When you’re finished, come find me. I’ll be in the office right over there.” Mr. Jo pointed to a room at the end of the hallway. I nodded and smiled at him again. 

After a couple more minutes, the steak on my plate was in my stomach, and so was everything else. I smiled and placed the plate in the sink. I was about to start washing it, maybe out of habit, when a maid came in a stopped me. “No no no,” she said, “Cleaning is a maid’s job. Not a guests. Please step away from the sink.” she smiled at me. I couldn’t help but giggle a bit. It sounded silly the way she said it. I nodded at her and thanked. The maid smiled back and shooed me away. If all the maids were this nice, I really wouldn’t mind working here. 

I made my way to the office and gently knocked on the door. “Come in.” Mr. Jo said. I entered and looked around. It was just as sophisticated and stylish as the rest of the house! “How was your meal?” 

“It was extremely delicious. Thank you so much for taking care of me.” I bowed to him and this time, I didn’t stumble. 

“You’re very welcome. Now, how about we take a tour?” he smiled and stood up from his desk. 

“Neh~” I smiled at him. 

Mr. Jo led me first, around the first floor. Downstairs was his office, his bedroom, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, and a very large pantry. Then he led me to the second floor. On this floor was Jo Youngmin’s office, a game room, Jo Youngmin’s bedroom, a loft, a balcony and a mini theater. On the third floor was Jo Kwangmin’s office, Jo Kwangmin’s bedroom, a pool, a music room and a dance studio. On the fourth floor was the maid’s rooms. They were all like suites. They had a bathroom, small living room, a bedroom, a small kitchen and dining, and each had a laptop. Not to mention a fun part about the maid’s job. When they were called, there was a special door that closed the entrance of a slide. It worked by a maid going in, picking the floor she was called to, and mechanic hands would push her down the slide to that floor. 

By the end of the tour, I was blown away. I couldn’t believe one house could have all that. “Like it?” Mr. Jo asked. I nodded, my eyes wide. Mr. Jo chuckled. “Oh, by the way, because our house is so huge and has so many floors, you can take the elevator up and down, if you don’t want to use the slide to go down.” I nodded again, still processing this amazing house. “Why don’t you go wash up. Your maid outfit should already be in your bathroom. Your new room has your name on the front of it. Feel free to mingle with the other maids too if you see them.” Mr. Jo explained. He gave me a little push into the elevator and waved as it closed. I smiled. My life was going to get better now...
