Lee Saerin, the new maid

It was now lunch break and the four friends sat together. They all got to know each other a little better and enjoyed each other’s company.

“Saerin,” Kwangmin said.

“Hmm?” she turned to him.

“You got a little something on your lips.” Kwangmin pointed.

“Where?” Saerin brushed the back of her hand against her lips.

“Right here.” Kwangmin rubbed some crumbs off the corner that she’d missed.

“Oh, thanks.” Saerin smiled. Kwangmin gave her a loving look and they gazed at each other for a while. Youngmin, on the other hand, couldn’t stand the site. He wanted to be with one next to you. He wanted to tell you, you had little crumbs on your face and brush them off. He wanted to look lovingly at you, and have you look back at him that way. Seowoon sighed and pat Youngmin’s back, knowing fully well he was in pain.

Lunch ended and they went back to class. Lessons resumed and more boring notes were taken. Even if the lesson was boring, Saerin worked hard so that she could help herself go to college. She knew she needed to study well. That way, she could find and take care of her siblings.

A couple hours later, school ended and the class began to pack up. The twins waited for Saerin as she packed her things. “Sorry,” she says, and packs up faster. “Done! Let’s go.” They headed out of the building to the front of the school. There, their driver would be waiting to take them home. The trio was about to get into the car when Youngmin’s name was called.

“Youngmin-ssi!” a girl with braided hair came up to him.

“Yes?” He smiled pleasantly and waited.

“I-I-I-I..” she took a deep breath, “I have something for you.” She took out a heart-shaped box. “There’s chocolates inside. I hope you like them.” After quickly bowing, she scurried away. They entered the car and all stared at the box of chocolates in Youngmin’s lap.

“Ooh, Youngmin. You got another admirer.” Kwangmin nudged his twin and chuckled.

“Shuttup. I don’t even know what to do with this.” Youngmin sighed. The confessions were getting old. He only wanted Saerin’s.

“Don’t say that. You should eat them happily. The girl made them especially for you. At least appreciate them and eat them.” Saerin smiled.

“Do you want them?” Youngmin raised and eyebrow.

“No! They’re for you! You should eat them!” Saerin laughed. “What if you gave chocolates to somebody and they didn’t eat them. Wouldn’t you be sad? If they at least at them with some ounce of appreciation, you’d be happy, wouldn’t you?” Youngmin nodded slowly as he stared at the box.

“Fine, I’ll eat them.” Youngmin sighed. He opened the box and inside were beautifully decorated chocolates. Plopping one into he mouth, he chewed and the chocolates were actually very delicious. Unconsciously, he began smiling.

“He likes them.” Kwangmin whispered to Saerin, causing her to giggle.

“I heard that.” Youngmin glared. Saerin laughed again and shook her head.

The next day, school was basically the same. The only difference, was the girl came up to Youngmin again. We learned that she was also a senior and her name was Bora. Her hair wasn’t in braids today and she was actually really pretty. At least that was what Saerin thought. When she talked to her that day, Bora was actually really nice. Bora had a bubbly personality that made others just like her. “I think Bora is a great girl.” Saerin told Youngmin during a break.

“You think so?” Youngmin asked.

Saerin nodded. “She’s so nice! And she’s really pretty and cute. You should totally accept her confession.” Saerin encouraged.

“Really?” I would rather be with you, Youngmin thought.

“You can try. I don’t think you’d regret being with her, I mean, come on! It’s Yoon Bora! She’s awesome! I’ve only known her... Less then a day, and I think she’s great. Plus, you look like you need someone with you right now.” Saerin pat his shoulder with a solemn nod. Youngmin couldn’t help but shake his head at Saerin’s silly and cluelessness.

“If you say so.” Youngmin said, “I’ll accept it. Don’t regret making me do this later.” he warned.

“Me? Regret you going out with Bora? Never! Now hurry and go tell her!” Saerin pushed him out of the classroom before break ended.

I’m doing this because you told me to, Saerin. Maybe I can get over you. Maybe... Youngmin told himself.
