Saerin’s POV:

I opened the door to Kwangmin’s room and stepped inside. He was doing his own homework now. Kwangmin looked up at me and smiled a gentle smile. “What’re you doing here?” 

“Just stopping by. Dinner won’t take long so we’re getting a longer break today.” I explained. Kwangmin nodded and resumed his work. “What’s that?” 

“Physics.” he said. I nodded and stared at his questions. They made no sense what-so-ever to me. I scratched my head and scrunched up my face in confusion. Kwangmin looked at my expression and laughed. “Yah. Don’t hurt yourself.” Pouting, I gave him a mehrong and went to sit on his bed. Lying down, I stared at his huge room. I started to think of Youngmin and his girl problems. Did that mean he actually liked me? If he liked me, would I like him too? But I had Kwangmin now and Kwangmin knows how to make me smile and I feel very comfortable with him around. If I were to chose, who would I pick? “Hello? Earth to Saerin?” Kwangmin said. 

“Huh?” I hadn’t realized I’d zoned out for that long. 

Kwangmin smiled again, “What’s got you thinking so much?” 

“Nothing,” I lied. 

“Don’t lie.” Kwangmin sternly said. 

“I’m not.” I lied again. 

“Stop lying!!”

“I’m not lying!!!” 

“Liar.” 

“Meanie.” 

“Just tell me!”

“No.” I crossed my arms and turned so my back was facing him. 

Kwangmin sighed, “But I’m your boyfriend and I should help you with your problems.” 

I turned back to face him. “You can’t help with this one. This problem.. Is all my own. Alright?” 

“Alright,” he looked down at my hands in defeat. Taking them in his own hands, he fiddled with my fingers for a little while in a comfortable silence. “Saerin-ah...” Kwangmin whispered. 

“Hmm?” 

“You’ll stay mine for a while right?” he asked. 

“What?” I raised an eyebrow. 

“Nothing. Nevermind.” he sighed again. Was Kwangmin worrying about what I was too? 

“Don’t worry Kwangmin. I’ll be yours for as long as my heart will allow.” I smiled at him. Kwangmin smiled back slightly and hugged me. My arms wrapped around his waist and I hugged him back. My head snuggled between his shoulder and chest as I took in his scent. As of now, I knew Kwangmin was the one I wanted.

A couple days passed and things seemed normal in the house. I continued work and met up with the twins for my tutoring sessions. I was beginning to learn a lot and they both told me I was a fast learner. I’d almost finished the workbooks they’d given me. I was to have a final test to test all the knowledge I’d learned throughout my tutoring sessions. The twins told me to study well and if I passed with a 75 or higher, I’d begin learning the next grade! This was all exciting news for me. 

Throughout the week, during my breaks, I’d stay in my room and study. I studied a lot and sometimes I would skip meals. The only times I wouldn’t would be when I had to help cook and serve. I studied so much to show my gratitude towards the Jo’s in hopes that I’d do them all the good they’d done me. I wanted to repay them one day. 

The day of the final had come. I took the tests that Kwangmin and Youngmin had made for me. I was testing the whole day and that day I didn’t work at all. I was nervous as heck, but I did my best. I turned in my last test to Kwangmin and he smiled at me. “Good job!” he told me. I thanked him and slumped to the kitchen. 

“How do you think you did?” Seulgi asked me. 

“I think I did alright.” I answered. 

“I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Gyuwon pat my back. 

“Go sit, we’ll do the work today. You had a tiring day.” Jiyune pushed my gently out the door. I nodded and sat in the dining room. My eyes were threatening to close and my hand was warm from writing so much. 

“Saerin-ah,” someone called my name. My head shot up and I looked around. Mr. Jo smiled. 

“Annyeonghasaeyo.” I said and stood up to bow. 

“Sit, sit!” he said, “I have a question for you.” 

“What is it?” I asked. 

“I heard from the twins that you’re a fast learner. It’s been about half a year and you’re already done with grade 9.” Mr. Jo said. I nodded. “So I was wondering, if you finish the other grades soon, if you’d want to join Youngmin and Kwangmin when they start their last year of high school?” he offered. My eyes shot wide open. 

“Uh...”

“You don’t have to tell me now and it’s fine if you don’t. Just you might as well learn along side them if they’re going to teach you what they’re going to learn. You know?” Mr. Jo explained. I nodded. 

“I guess that’d be alright. I will try to learn quickly.” I said. 

“Good. I’ll tell them.” Mr. Jo smiled and began to go to the elevator. School huh? I thought, I wonder what it’s like now...

A couple days had passed and Youngmin and Kwangmin had finished grading my tests. “We have your scores,” they approached me and said in unison. I looked at them expectantly and nervously. Squinting my eyes and crossing my fingers, I waited for them to tell me my score. 

“This is going to be the average of both subjects you took tests for, okay?” Youngmin told me. I nodded, still with my eyes closed. “You got... 90%.”

My eyes shot open and I jumped up with glee, “YAY!!! I PASSED! WOOHOO!!!! I PASSED AHHHH!!!” The twins laughed at and with me. 

“Okay, your math score...” Kwangmin said, “92%.” 

“WOOHOO! I PASSED THAT ONE TOO! OMIGOODNESS! YAYYY!” I squealed with joy. The twins laughed again at my reaction and each patted my head. 

“Good job, Saerin. You’re smart for learning so fast. I’m excited for when you get to come to school with us!” Kwangmin smiled. 

“We’re going to try and teach you quickly so you’ll be ready.” Youngmin explained. 

I nodded gratefully and hugged them both. “You guys are awesome. Thanks so much for teaching me!” 

They hugged me back and said, “You’re welcome.”

Hey guys. Another late update. I'm going to stop promising quicker updates because.. It's just difficult. I'm so sorry. Thanks for sticking with me and reading though. I really appreciate it. I'm having a bit of writer's block right now and I'm not sure what to do next. I mean, I know where I want to go, I just don't know how to get there, so excuse the... Randomness in these next couple of chapters as I try to figure out what to do <3 Thank you! I hope you all had a great memorial day and had a good day off :]
