Kiss - friends - fight

I was getting ready for a night out with Selina, Genie, Show, and Show’s girlfriend, to celebrate their one month anniversary. I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a short, tight high-waist skirt in fake leather, a pink skirt and fishnets. In my own opinion, I looked pretty good. I was also wearing a quite heavy makeup, with black and dark-grey eye shadow, and a hot pink lipgloss. And of course… I was wearing killer-stilettos. Selina walked through the bathroom door, and into our room, where she saw me.
“Oh my god, Gui Gui! Are you trying to get pregnant?!”She asked me, with shock in her eyes. She herself was wearing a red, strapless elegant Armani dress that reached her knees. It was made in a soft fabric, similar to cotton. Her legs were bare, and she was wearing killer stilettos just like me. Her hair was pulled back in an elegant bun, and she was wearing red lipstick.
“No, I’m just trying to have a good time… There’s nothing wrong in being a little edgy” I said, and smirked. I was happy, as I had already drunk three bottles of beer.
“Since when did you get so happy? I haven’t seen you like this since… Since you and Aaron were dating” she said thoughtfully.
“Well, beer is a magic drink… Now should we find Show and Ida, and go out partying?” I asked, ready to get some attention from the guys around me. Maybe Aaron was right; I liked attention, and especially from guys, but at least I had fun. I was a fun, open-minded person, who was always up for some dancing and drinking… But nothing more than that. Therefore, I wasn’t a , as Aaron called me.
We both sneaked out of the window, where there was a tree, which we silently climbed down from the tree. When we got down, Show and Ida was waiting. Show was wearing a classic tuxedo, which almost made me die from laughter. Ida was wearing a quite, purple summer dress, and a pair of purple flats. Her makeup was simple and natural, and flattered her olive green eyes, and her golden hair was braided. She suited Show; they looked good together.
“So… Did everybody remember their fake IDs?” Show asked. Everybody nodded.
“Before we go…” Ida smiled. “I need you to know that I don’t drink.” She showed off her white teeth, in a bright smile.
“You don’t need to drink to have fun.” Selina said, and glared at me.
“Of course alcohol isn’t necessary for fun when you’re NOT heartbroken.” I said, and glared back. “Just like sharp comments aren’t necessary when you’re talking to a heartbroken and a little bit tipsy person. Like talking about pregnancy, when everyone knows that I had an abortion when I was fifteen.” I glared back at her.
“Okay, so… Let’s find the limo” Show said, positively.

We were at an exclusive club in London. We didn’t even have to show our fake IDs, because our parents were such meaningful people. I and Selina were now fighting for good, which resulted in me flirting with every guy showing interest in her… And as I was getting drunker… Every guy that showed interest in any other girl than me.
“What do you drink?” A random guy asked me. I lifted an eyebrow, and looked at him in a disgusted way.
“I’m obviously drinking Tequila sunrise right now.” I said, and turned away from him.
“Gui Gui, don’t you recognize me at all?” the guy said. I looked at him for a while, and then realized that I was looking at my very own ex boyfriend.
“Oh my god, Alien! How are things with Tong?” I asked him, with big eyes. He looked down.
“Well, I and Tong Tong aren’t dating anymore. It felt weird, but we’re still very good friends. Julie took her down as queen, though. Everyone in school hates the three of us now…” Alien sighed, but then his face lightened up again.
“Really? They hate me too? Why?” I asked, wondering about what evil rumor there was floating about me, in my old kingdom.
“Well…” – he started whispering. – “something about you leaving, because the three of us… Did it and that you couldn’t take it. You know, the third person is always supposed to be a stranger.” Alien sighed.
“Okay… Well, is Tong Tong here too? I have to introduce the two of you two my friends! I’m so thrilled to see you!” I said, and kissed him on the cheek. I didn’t even care about what he had done in the past; I missed my old friends somehow.
“Yeah… She’s trying to make a pass on that guy, though he’s obviously with his girlfriend… She’s really drunk.” He laughed, and pointed in the direction of Show. I couldn’t help but laugh; this was my Tong; hopeless and clumsy. I ran in her direction, and hugged her from behind.
“Tong! Oh my god, I have missed you SO much!” I said, looked at her, and hugged her again. In a moment, she almost seemed sober.
“Gui?! Oh my god! I’ve missed you too!” she said, whining in a girly way.
“You know her?!” Show asked me, looking confused.
“Of course, silly! This is Tong Tong, my best from my old school! Oh my god, Tong, I can’t believe that you and Alien are here!!” I smiled.
“Yeah, I’m Gui’s best babe friend” Tong laughed. The others just stared at us.
“Oh my god, Gui, let’s do like we used to in Taipei, and get wasted in Tequila sunrise, until we see the sunrise!” Tong Tong said, cheerfully.
“Same old rule?” I asked her, smirking.
“Oh… We’ve actually changed the rules quite a bit. Before starting, every person participating has to empty three vodka shots, just for the fun in it… Oh, and of course!”
“The first person who throws up, has to kiss a guy, of the winners decision!” we said at the same time, and started drinking.
“That game doesn’t really seem healthy…” I heard Show say.
“Who cares, it’ll get hot, I promise” I heard Alien, who somehow had ended up standing beside Show.

I was at my fifth Tequila sunrise, and so drunk that everyone in the distance of one hundred meters would be able to see it. I took another sip, and could quickly feel my stomach protesting. I ran to the bathroom, and threw at least four Tequila sunrises up.
Luckily, Alien was holding my hair. I didn’t even care about the fact that he was in the ladies’ powder room, as he was doing a good deed.
“Thanks.” I smiled.
“So… I think Tong picked a guy for you” Alien said, and dragged me back to the club, where Tong Tong was giggling. She pointed at a guy, that I could only see from behind, but I was still determined to kiss him… As I had lost the game, of course. In background, Paparazzi by lady Gaga was blowing out of the speakers. I poked the guy whom I was supposed to kiss’ shoulder, and he turned around. What was Mr.-good-guy, Aaron Yan doing at an exclusive club, without his girlfriend in a school night?
“ Gui Gui? No way…” he was speaking more to himself than to me. I sighed.
“I’m sorry Aaron, I lost a bet, and I’m forced to kiss you.” I said, and pulled him down, so I could reach his lips. How wonderful it felt to be kissing those familiar lips again, that I had been dreaming of in I don’t know how long. I determined myself; I had to break the kiss. And so I did. Then I turned around, and walked towards Tong Tong. Selina also walked towards us.
“What the hell are you thinking about, Gui Gui?! That guy broke your ing heart, and then you just randomly kiss him in a club!” she yelled at me.
“Wait… That guy broke your heart?” Tong Tong asked me.
“Just leave me alone, will you?” I asked them, and walked out of the club door, with Aaron in my heels. He looked confused.
“Wait a minute. I broke YOUR heart?! I broke your heart?!” he asked me, angrily.
“Yes Aaron, you did! Do you know that you’re the only person that I ever loved like this?! Normally, I don’t mind when people wrong me, ‘cause honestly, they’re nothing to me! But you are, Aaron Yan! How hard can it be to understand?!” I asked him with tears in my eyes. I quickly blinked then away. He shouldn’t have the joy of seeing me cry.
“Really?!Well, then I guess that I’m wrong when I remember you telling me to leave you alone?! Then I’m wrong when I remember you saying that I turned you into a ?!” He seemed furious, and I could see on his face, that he used his last self control at not hitting me. I was scared to see him looking that way. I was scared, and I wanted him to embrace me.
“Who are you to speak, Aaron Yan?! You called me about thirty times just to tell me that you had gotten… Gotten Amber, and that you thought that I was a ! Oh, and you blamed me for doing what I had to do to make you stay the school…” – My face was almost covered in cascades of tears – “Even if it caused you to hate me forever! I sacrificed my happiness for yours!” I fell down on the ground, and continued crying there. Both of my hands were bleeding, but the alcohol had made sure, that I couldn’t feel it.
“It’s just that… No matter what you do, I still love you so much” I almost whispered. Aaron sat down next to me, and dried away my tears, gently. He looked at me with worried eyes, and I couldn’t help but cry again.
“How silly am I? You have a girlfriend, and I’m in no position to say such a thing. I’m sorry Aaron, I’m really sorry for everything…” I said.
“Don’t be, Wu Ying Jie. I don’t mind hearing those words, spoken by you… Just promise me that you won’t cry. You’re so beautiful when you’re smiling, and…” – he sighed – “someday, that smile will make someone who deserves you very happy… But the thing is that I don’t. When we were dating, I always felt bad for keeping you away from shining. ‘Cause when you shine, everyone deserves to see it. Not just me. I hope that you understand this.” Aaron’s deep, brown eyes met mine, and I suddenly felt… protected by them. I knew that he wouldn’t let anyone hurt me.
“Friends, once again?” I asked him, with my apparently –so-beautiful smile. Hebe smiled back at me, and looked at me with an expression I couldn’t read.
“Sure… Now, let’s get the blood off your hands, so that guy in there doesn’t suspect anything… You wouldn’t want him to think that you weren’t over us, right?” Aaron smirked. I sighed, as I was really relived. Maybe I should give Alien another chance? Well, he WAS cute, and he HAD changed since we were dating. So had I.
“That sounds like a good idea.” I smiled.

I was on my “first” date with Alien. I was wearing a casual blouse-dress, and he was wearing purple a shirt, and black jeans.
“We suit each other” I thought. We really did, though I didn’t want to suit a guy like Alien. We deserved each other; he was a charming cheater, and I was an attention-wanting . If he wouldn’t date me, no one would. No one else than him would be with someone like me, and then his cheating in the past didn’t matter; if I didn’t have a boyfriend, I wouldn’t be able to pretend to be over Aaron, when I was with him. I still loved Aaron, though.
“So… Where do you want to go?” Alien asked me, smiling. I started imagining that he was Aaron, but quickly shook it off me. I had to be strong.
“Let’s go somewhere to eat… You know, somewhere casual, and simple” I smiled. Alien suddenly look cheerful, and squeezed my hand tightly.
“Let’s go to Pizza Hut!” he almost yelled, happily. He kissed me on the cheek, so I had to smile. If I didn’t, he would sense something.
“Sure, let’s go to Pizza Hut” I smiled happily. I felt just as fake as I was when I went to my old school. Maybe Alien’s body had been cheating on me, but now my heart was cheating on him. And a lot.
We slowly walked to Pizza Hut, until we arrived, and walked through the door. Until I suddenly stood still. At the first table we saw, Aaron and Amber were sitting. I smiled my best fake smile (which was very good), and prepared what to say.
“Why aren’t walking?” Alien asked. I quickly grabbed his hand, and changed my smile to a surprised one.
“Oh my gosh, Aaron, Amber! What a pleasant surprise! I suppose that you’ve heard about my boyfriend, Alien?” I asked, cheerfully.
“Yeah, we have… Why don’t the two of you join us? We were just about to order” Aaron smiled. I sighed deeply. If we joined them, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate about Alien the whole night. Why did Aaron have to everywhere?!
“Well, actually…”
“Sure!” Alien said, found two chairs, and sat down.
“You know, Gui Gui used to date Aaron. They seemed like a REALLY loving couple, but then Aaron found out about all these secrets she kept from him…” Amber said, and looked evil. I smirked at her.
“Well actually, Amber, the breakup started with your little boyfriend kissing Hebe Tian at Show’s birthday party… I know that you weren’t invited, but please gets your facts straight before you start talking about something like this.”
“Really? The two of them were dating?” Alien asked, and sounded interested. Not in Amber’s words, I concluded, as I could see that his eyes were looking at a whole other thing than her face.
“Yes, we were, a long time ago, when I just got to this school. Aaron was originally dating this terrible girl, Hebe Tian, but we fell for each other. And then we maturely agreed to break up, because we came from two different worlds.” I answered for Amber.
“Aaron, this little is lying!” Amber said, and looked at Aaron with teary eyes.
“Know, I’m not.” I said, in a very cold tone.
“Gui Gui, shut up!” Aaron said. Now I was really angry.
“Excuse me? You don’t have the command over me. I can’t believe that I tried to be friends with someone like you. I walk in here, and the first thing your little girlfriend does is trying to break Alien and me up. Then I try to defend myself, and she makes you yell at me. I know that what I’m going to do now isn’t fair, but you’ve put me through a rollercoaster ever since we met. You have the choice, Aaron. Me or Amber?” I asked him, suddenly. I was standing with my diet coke with ice cubes in my hand, ready to be a perfect .
“You know that the person who gives the ultimatum…”
“Is never to be chosen.” I ended for him, and smirked. “Fine, Aaron Yan. I’ve dated cheaters that have done terrible things. I’ve dated a drug dealer, and I’ve loved my sister’s boyfriend. But I’ve never been hurt as much as I have by you. I’ve never been treated as bad as you have treated me. When I think about it, all of my other boyfriends always had inner warmth… But you’ve never. I’ve never been anywhere cold as you.” I said, and sighed. I then turned towards Amber.
“You like diet coke, don’t you?” I asked her, and poured the contents of my glass over her. Then I looked at Alien. “It’s over, babe.”
“Here we go again.” I heard Aaron say, and sigh. Ignored him, and left.

“Oh my god, why did you do that?!” Selina asked me, looking at me like I was a crazy person.
“I just kind of… Got carried away. I mean, I was so pissed off by the little tart, and then Aaron really angered me, and… Then Alien was there too” I admitted.
“Well, you’ll have to find another boyfriend! And judging by your reputation here, only very few guys would date you. Jiro probably would, if you have the right star sign and likes cheese, but… I forbid you to date Jiro! And then there’s Wang Zi, who probably would date you, as everyone knows that he loves you… And then there’s Alien, whom you just dumped. Of course Danson is also an opportunity, but I don’t think that you want to date him.” Selina sighed.
“Well, out of those, I guess I’ll just go with Wang Zi. I mean, I’m still angry at him, but I guess that he knows me better than the rest of the guys.” I remembered the look on Jolin’s face, when she told me that she had just hired Wang Zi to be my friend.
“You can’t hate the guy for cheating forever, Gui…” Selina said, and thought that she was smart. I stared her down.
“That’s not it… He did something even more terrible that can’t be forgiven; he was always only my friend because Jolin paid him to spy on me. But I’ll speak to him about it tomorrow. Today I just need a facial and some sleep…” I yawned.

The next day, I was on my way for Wang Zi’s room. But of course, life had to be testing me by meeting Amber. To my surprise, she was looking more girly than usual. She was wearing makeup, her uniform skirt was pulled a little up, so it showed more of her legs, and she was wearing high heels. She looked kind of like me. What I also noticed, was that she was wearing my signature scent; Cacharel’s Scarlett. I decided to piss her off.
“Since when did you start to wear such a nice perfume?” I asked her, with an evil smirk on my face.
“Since Aaron gave it to me. He’s so thoughtful; he always buys stuff for me. He has bought me a lot of skirts, and tank tops, and shoes and makeup…” she smirked back at me. I couldn’t help but feel a warm inside; Aaron was by obvious trying to make Amber seem like me. I was very flattered. He wasn’t tired of me at all.
“Oh, I see. I’m so sorry” I looked like I pitied her.
“For what? Having a nice boyfriend, please; you’re just jealous.” She said, and rolled her eyes.
“Well, it’s just that if I had a boyfriend, I would feel very worried if he gave me his ex girlfriend’s signature scent as a gift. Oh well, it’s only good for you if you don’t care. Maybe Aaron was right when we talked two weeks ago… You really are… ‘Simple’” I said the last thing, being single was a bad thing. If it hadn’t been because of her bad influence on Aaron, I wouldn’t have tried to break them up. I didn’t have a problem with Aaron dating, but I had a problem with Amber.
I then walked away, to visit Wang Zi. When I was standing in front of his door, I sighed, and then knocked lightly on his door. I felt really embarrassed.
“Come in!” I heard his voice yell. I opened the door slowly, and walked in. luckily, he was alone, and not with some random girl.
“Qiu Sheng Yi, we need to talk.” I said, and looked him in the eyes. I then sat down at his bed.
“Sure, speak.” He said, smirking. I just stared him down.
“DON’T have absent thoughts. I’m just casually sitting on your bed. Anyways… I need to ask you something, and I need you to be honest.” I sighed, and gazed into his eyes. “Why were you my friend in the past?”
“Because I liked your personality.” He answered too quickly.
“Come on, don’t lie. I know that Jolin paid you to spy on me. But I still don’t get it… Why did money mean so much to you?” I asked him.
“Gui Gui… You have to understand, that Jolin was the only person who wanted to help me. My father’s company needed money, and Jolin offered a huge amount of money for being your friend… I really didn’t have a choice. But then we bankrupted anyways, and moved away. I cut all of my connections to Jolin. We hadn’t spoken in over a year, when she started here.” Wang Zi explained.
“Then… Do you know why she wanted you to spy on me?” I asked, seriously. Actually, I highly doubted so. Wang Zi seemed more like the criminal, that didn’t actually intend to harm anyone, and who would get a shock if he knew, how many he harmed.
“No. She wouldn’t tell me anything; she was afraid that I would tell you.” Wang Zi admitted.
“Well, I know. Jolin and I are half-sisters, and she wanted to ruin my life, because my father loved me, and denied to see her as his daughter.” I said, harshly. Wang Zi just looked at me for a while. Then he touched the back of my neck, and dragged my head towards him. His lips starting gently touching mine. I wanted to pull back, but I knew that I had to get over Aaron, so I decided to return his kiss.

It was raining, but I didn’t care. I had to continue running. Running away from everything, running away from those people who had seen the terribly embarrassing scene… But most of all, run away from Aaron.

“Shh, don’t talk, just drink this water and sleep.” He said, gently. Then he kissed my forehead. His cold lips felt nice of my burning skin.
