Ties That Bind.

- Hwang Eun Bi's P.O.V -

I walked down the hallway to the Principal's office. I wonder what's the reason. I couldn't help but fiddle with my fingers on the way there.

As I was about to enter the room, a pair of feet stopped in front of me. I looked away from my hands to the pair of shoes and looked up.

Kim Mingyu.

"Hello." I bowed and he smiled and did likewise.

"Principal's office?" I asked and he nodded again. He knocked the door and opened the door for us.

We entered and greeted the principal, before we sat down on the chair in front of his table.

"Kim Mingyu-ssi, Hwang Eunbi-ssi, you guys did well for the photoshoot. You two pulled off the theme well." The Principal said as he flipped the through photobook that was sent to him.

"Thank you, Mr Principal." We thanked the Principal. For some reason, I continued fiddling with my fingers.

"The school's visual department has decided to send the both of you for another competition. It's a higher level one, encompassing themes of deep meanings, including romance." The Principal went on.

We froze.

As soon as the Principal dismissed us, we were down the hallway trying to process the new update.

Mingyu casually put his arm around and I almost jumped. Since when was he so touchy.

"If it's a next level competition, means we need more chemistry right?" Mingyu questioned and I nodded my head slowly.

What was he going to do? What do I do?

Just then I felt my hands being tugged violently by Mingyu and I was shocked.

"Hwang Eun Bi!"

"Hwang Eun ah! Wake up!"

I looked at Mingyu, his voice became really high pitch.

One final tug, I opened my eyes. I could see 5 distinct figures. As my eyes adjusted to the light, the 5 figures became clearer to me.

"Hwang Eun Bi, wake up! Oh, you've finally regain consciousness." Jung Eun Bi said and stopped shaking me. I looked at them.

What day is today?

"Isn't today Saturday?" I asked before trying to bury myself into my blanket. "Oh how did you get into my room?" I asked as questions started popping up in my head.

Sojung pulled the covers and Yuna and Yewon pulled me up into a sitting position.

"It is Saturday." Sojung said and as soon as I heard that, I was about to go back to bed but Yewon and Yuna pulled me back up instantly.

"We are supposed to exercise at the gym together every Saturday morning for the next 3 months. You're late again!" Yerin said and hit my . "Your mom let us in." Yewon continued.

I groaned. "Alright, I'll change." I said and took out my workout clothes. I changed as soon as they left the room. Before I opened the door, I couldn't help but think of the dream I had before GFriend woke me up.

What was Mingyu doing in my dream?

My mom made breakfast downstairs. I took a banana from the dining table and left with my members.

We were back at school again. This time it was empty because nobody uses the school premises on Saturdays except us and maybe those groups who need to practice but it is rare to see people here. Especially in the morning.

That's why it is the perfect place for us to exercise as there is no one to judge.

Sigh, being pre-professional is hard.

- Narrator's P.O.V -

"Come back here after a 10 minute break!" Seungcheol announced and a few of them collapsed to the floor. They had been practicing since 8 in the morning and it was 10 already.

Wonwoo decided he needed some fresh air. He tapped Mingyu and walked out and Mingyu caught the signal.

"It is quiet in school when no one is around." Wonwoo said as he could hear his echoes through the hallways. Mingyu nodded.

"It's good for our practice." Mingyu mentioned and Wonwoo agreed with him. Soon, they were on their way to buy some isotonic drinks for all the members.

"Oh, there's music!" Mingyu said as they entered the sports area. Wonwoo and Mingyu looked around confused. There wasn't supposed to be anyone in school.

Wonwoo was turning his head and his head stopped turning when he caught sigh of a few figures in the gym.

"Wow, I can't believe this. Just how fated are we?" Mingyu said as soon as he saw GFriend in the gym.

Yuna, Yerin were on the treadmill while the two Eunbis were on the bicycle. Yewon was doing some cross training and Sojung was doing pilates.

Mingyu stole a glance at Wonwoo and as usual, he had his eyes on Yuna and this time, also on Yerin.

'Just how many of them is he interested in?' Mingyu thought instantly. 

"Wonwoo ah, who are you interested in?" Mingyu asked candidly and Wonwoo was not surprised by the question. "I think you know who." Wonwoo answered and Mingyu had a thinking look.

"But I realise you also pay a lot of attention to Yerin as well" Mingyu spoke his mind and Wonwoo laughed. "Yah, Yerin is my middle-school friend. She was personally there to see me doing my machine dance. Isn't it natural that I look out for her?"

As soon as Wonwoo said it, thousands of memories he and Yerin had since middle school flashed through his mind. He stood there, now dazed.

Mingyu was now very amused at the statue in front of him. He waved his hand in Wonwoo's face. "Earth to Wonwoo? Are you still human? Or have you morphed into a machine?" Mingyu said as he tried to bring Wonwoo back into reality.

Mingyu shrugged and decided to buy the isotonic drinks for the members. 

Wonwoo's attention had now completely shifted to Yerin. 'Wow, we actually go a long way back.' Wonwoo thought before Soonyoung's voice interrupted his memory lane trip.

"Wonwoo?" Soonyoung's face was so near to Wonwoo's that he jumped back. "Oh Soonyoung, you're here! Can you help me with the drinks?" Mingyu said, hearing the Performance team leader and Soonyoung went over to him.

"What's with Wonwoo?" Soonyoung asked silently and Mingyu gave a huge shrug before saying, "I don't have a clue."

"Oh, GFriend." Soonyoung said as he only realised their presence. "That was fast." Mingyu commented sarcastically. "Be thankful I'm not Jihoon." Soonyoung looked sharply at him.

"Wonwoo let's go, before Seungcheol and Jihoon roast us." Soonyoung said and pushed Wonwoo, who slightly unwillingly, tore his gaze from Yerin and Yuna.

Mingyu threw a galnce to Hwang Eun Bi who happened to look up and saw him. He gave a smile before walking off. Hwang Eun bi gave a small smile as she continued to pedal.

Back at the dance studio as soon as the trio returned, Soonyoung said out, "GFriend is also in school!"

"Huh? On a Saturday? Doing what?" Seokmin asked immediately and Mingyu had a small smirk before answering, "They're exercising at the gym."
