That morning, Jeonghan woke up to the warm scent of Seungcheol

Jeonghan woke up to the warm feel of Seungcheol’s chest

His shirtless chest (A/N: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )

Ahh, why doesn’t he wear a shirt? Doesn’t he know that it’s freezing cold outside and he needs one!?

Jeonghan was debating with himself to get out of bed or to stay in for a bit longer, he chose the second option because, he wanted to be lazy on the last day of the year.

Jeonghan decided to relax in Seungcheol’s arms, and as usual, Seungcheol’s large arms were wrapped protectively around his torso

How does he stay so warm half when I would usually freeze without covers. Gosh, he feels so good, I just wanna snuggle closer to him.

“I know that you’re awake” a groggy Seungcheol said

“OH MY GOODNESS!!” Jeonghan yelled said in surprise, he almost jumped out of bed

Seungcheol laughed “you’re so cute when you’re flustered” and he proceeded to pinch Jeonghan’s cheeks.

“Ahh, stop” Jeonghan whined, half of him wanted him to stop and the other half wanted Seungcheol to keep on going

“You’re blushing” Seungcheol teased Jeonghan

“N-no I’m not” Jeonghan said as he attempted to hide his face from Seungcheol’s eyes why am I even blushing? “I’m just cold”

“How can you be cold if I'm laying next to you and heating you up?” Seungcheol asked as he tightened his hold on Jeonghan’s torso

“I just get cold easily” Jeonghan said as he pressed closer to Seungcheol’s chest

“Angel, I can’t believe that it’s the last day of the year today” Seungcheol said

“Well, it is” Jeonghan responded “tomorrow will be a new year”

“It kind of scares me, how time passes by before our eyes so quickly” Seungcheol said “we live one day, die the next”

“And we eat breakfast in the morning” Jeonghan said “I’m hungry”

“You’re always hungry” Seungcheol said

“I burn a lot of calories by sitting on the couch the whole day” Jeonghan said

“SUUURE you do” Seungcheol said as he sat up on the bed

“Cheollie” Jeonghan whined as he tried to pull Seungcheol back down on the bed “not yet”

“Do you want food or me?” Seungcheol asked

“Hmm, that’s a tough one. Which is more important? Food or Seungcheol?” Jeonghan teased Seungcheol

“Oh come on”

“Without food, I’ll die. And without Cheollie, I’ll also die” Jeonghan said “This is a tough decision”

“What about both?” Seungcheol suggested “I’ll piggyback you to the kitchen and you can help me make breakfast”

“Bleh, too lazy” Jeonghan said as he rolled around in the bed

“I’ll piggyback you and cook for you” Seungcheol said “that’s a good deal”

“What’s the catch?” Jeonghan asked

“Surprise me” Seungcheol said

“Boo!” Jeonghan said in attempt to surprise Seungcheol

“It has to be good or else you owe me breakfast tomorrow” Seungcheol said “you have today to surprise me”

“Deal” Jeonghan said as he held out his hand for seungcheol to shake it

“Get on my back” Seungcheol said

“Yay!!” Jeonghan was a fan of being carried

“What are you making?” Jeonghan asked

“Oatmeal” Seungcheol responded “with cherries in it”

“Good, you didn’t forget about the cherries” Jeonghan said

“Of course” Seungcheol said “how could I?”

“Cheol, is it ready yet?” Jeonghan asked

“Yeah, come over” Seungcheol said

“I’m coming!!” Jeonghan yelled

“Angel” Seungcheol said once Jeonghan arrived to the kitchen “What should we do today?”

“Hmm” Jeonghan thought “sleep”

“Besides that”

“Eat”

“And?”

“Breathe”

“I was thinking that we could watch the new years festival on tv” Seungcheol said

“And order pizza and 11:59 and when it comes at 12:09 we can tell them that we ordered the pizza a year ago” Jeonghan said

“What about the decorations?” Seungcheol asked

“We tried that already, it’s too hard for us” Jeonghan said

“Are you sure that you won’t mind?” Seungcheol asked, he wanted Jeonghan to be happy

“I don’t mind, Cheol” Jeonghan said

“So far, we have 2 things on out to-do list” Seungcheol said

“Let’s just stay at home and snuggle” Jeonghan said “After we finish breakfast, we should go back to bed”

“Y-yeah” Seungcheol said, he was a bit flustered by Jeonghan’s comment

“I’m already done” Jeonghan said “see you in the bedroom”

Seungcheol gulped why is he being so flirty?

Then, he looked down at his dish of oatmeal and saw that it was getting cold I guess that I still have to eat it.

Seungcheol gulped down the oatmeal as fast as he could and ran to the bedroom to try to sneak up on Jeonghan. Jeonghan was sitting on the bed, which he had made, reading something on his computer. His concentrated expression was distracting Seungcheol more than it should have.

Seungcheol got on his hands and knees and crawled on the floor to the bed so Jeonghan wouldn’t easily see him. Luckily for him, Jeonghan was too interested on the thing on his computer to notice. Then, Seungcheol pounced on Jeonghan.

“AHHH!! WHAT THE HECK SEUNGCHEOL?!!?!!? I”M THE ONE WHO’S SUPPOSED TO SURPRISE YOU!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME OR SOMETHING!?!??!?!?!”  Jeonghan yelled

Seungcheol laughed and pulled Jeonghan onto his lap “sorry angel” he half heartedly apologized

“Don’t ‘angel’ me, you almost killed me” Jeonghan pouted as he tried to get off of Seungcheol’s lap

“Baby, don’t be like that” Seungcheol said as he rested his chin on Jeonghan’s shoulder “I was only joking”

“Baby?? I’m not 2 years old!!” Jeonghan complained

“Yes baby, you are” Seungcheol said

“If I’m a baby then you’re a dad” Jeonghan said

“That’s fine by me, baby” Seungcheol said where is all this confidence coming from??

“Are you on drugs or something?!” Jeonghan asked, clearly annoyed

Uh oh “No Jeonghan” Seungcheol said “I’m not on drugs”

“Then why did you call me baby?” asked Jeonghan does he think of me that way?

“Because you act like one” Seungcheol said “all you do is eat, breathe and sleep”

“Fine, I may be a baby” Jeonghan said with his arms crossed

“Come here baby, daddy wants a hug” Seungcheol said as he held out his arms (A/N: low key (this is what happens when I take too much medicine drugs))

“You have 3 seconds to run before I kick you in the balls” Jeonghan said “3….2….1”

“Ahh!! I’m sorry don’t hurt me!!” Seungcheol said as he ran for his life

“You better be” Jeonghan said as he chased him around the dorm

“I’ll do anything, for you to stop” Seungcheol yelled over his shoulder as he kept on running away from Jeonghan

“Let me think about that” Jeonghan said as he slowed down “if I surprise you, then you have to umm…”

“I have to do what?” Seungcheol asked

“You have to kiss me” Jeonghan said oh no, he’s going to think that I’m a creep!!

“Ok” Seungcheol said does he actually want me to kiss him?? I want it.

“N-now get out because I need to think of something that will surprise you” Jeonghan said as he pushed Seungcheol towards the entrance of the dorm

“Bye bye baby” Seungcheol said as he opened the door

“Bye bye daddy”

After the conversation with himself, Jeonghan started working on his prank for Seungcheol.

Ok, first I need to find out how to make fake blood Jeonghan thought to himself as he went on youtube and searched for a video on that.

“OHMYGOODNESS THAT DOESN’T LOOK FAKE!!” Jeonghan yelled as he scrolled down through the videos

None of these look real enough, except for the video from before...

Seungcheol ran back to the dorm as fast as his legs could take him. Jeonghan hadn’t been answering any of his calls and he was extremely worried because this seemed unlike what Jeonghan would do. Maybe he saw someone, an intruder, break into their dorm, but how?

I’m coming Jeonghan…

Seungcheol fumbled with the keys in his pocket as he pushed through people while running through the streets.

“Hey, watch where you’re going!!” a man yelled

“Sorry” Seungcheol apologised as he kept on running, it wasn’t really much of an apology, more of an apology to everyone he ran into. He had no time to stop, he had to get there as soon as possible.

Seungcheol felt rain hit his hair,the small droplets got onto his clothes as he ran, his feet making a splashing sound every time he hit a puddle

I should've called a cab

His surroundings blurred together, only one thing was on his mind.

“Jeonghan!”

He had expected to see Jeonghan sitting on the couch, lazing about watching a drama rerun, but not Jeonghan laying on the floor in a puddle of his own blood.

“Jeonghan!”

Seungcheol’s head was spinning, he tried to get ahold of his senses which were running haywire.

“Can you hear me?”

Seungcheol panicked, he grabbed ahold of Jeonghan’s wrist to try to see his pulse but as he pressed his fingers into the small wrist, all he could hear was the frantic beating of  his own heart.

“I-I should call an ambulance” Seungcheol said as he looked at Jeonghan’s face

He leaned in, closer and closer to Jeonghan’s lips as if someone was telling him to do so.

Just one more kiss

Just one more-

Jeonghan opened his eyes

And sat up

And laughed his head off at Seungcheol who was sitting there like a fool

“Did I surprise you?” asked Jeonghan who was still recovering from all his laughing

“No, you scared me” Seungcheol said “I really thought that you were dead”

“I’m sorry” Jeonghan said, he didn’t want Seungcheol to be so scared “I didn’t think you’d be so scared”

“Well, I was.” Seungcheol said “but I’m glad that you’re here with me”

“Really Seungcheol, I’m sorry”

“I accept your apology Hannie, but please never do that again”

“One more thing”

“Yes?”

“Did I win the bet?”

“Haha no”

“Do you have the chips?” Jeonghan asked

“Yup” Said Seungcheol as he held up the chips for Jeonghan to see “I also have the salsa, and cheese dip and sparkling apple cider”

“Yay!!!” Jeonghan squealed, he was excited for the food new years

“Come on, the new years program should be starting now, “ Seungcheol said as he walked over to the couch

“I’m coming, I just need to get some plates”

“Don’t take too long” Seungcheol said “i heard that there are going to be some music performances”

“Really?” Jeonghan asked “ from whom?”

“A band named Seventeen, Shinee, Exo, BTS, Big Bang…”

“Oh my gosh I love all those bands!!” Jeonghan yelled

“Then hurry up, BTS is about to perform”

“I LOVE BTS, I LOVE J-HOPE!!” Jeonghan fangirled

“We all do, now, please bring the bowls”

In less than a few Seconds, Jeonghan was back with the chip bowls, Seungcheol was amazed that Jeonghan could move that fast.

“Are you speedy gonzalez or something? You took like 5 seconds to get from the kitchen to here” Seungcheol said as he grabbed the chip bowl “I thought that you only moved like 0 miles per hour”

“SHH!!! BTS IS ON!!” Jeonghan yelled as he stared at the screen

“Do you remember that story you told me about?” Seungcheol asked

“The stupid one?”

“Yup” Seungcheol responded as he stuffed him mouth with chips “do you still read it?”

“Of course I do” Jeonghan said as his eyes were still locked on the tv screen

“What happened in it?”

“Umm, Kara learns that the mysterious person is actually a poet and he writes poetry for her”

“Umm” Seungcheol said “is it still bad?”

“Meh, it’s getting better, she’s kinda in a love triangle” Jeonghan said “now, shush”

“Kay”

“Also, pass the chips”

“5...4...3...2...1!!!!! Happy New Year!!!!” The television host said as fireworks exploded off into the distance and people were rejoicing everywhere.

But Seungcheol wasn’t able to see any of those fireworks or the faces of the celebrating people for in those 5 seconds, Jeonghan had managed to grab ahold of his chin to kiss him.

And he did. He kissed him, deeply and so surprisingly.

Seungcheol knew that after this, he would crave the sweetness of Jeonghan’s lips, how soft and moist they were, so sweet, like honey.

Time had stopped for him, he was completely speechless, this kiss, felt like something more

Jeonghan gently held his cheek, gently it with his thumb in circular motions while Seungcheol’s arms rested by his side, unable to move from the shock.

The kiss, was unlike anything that Seungcheol had felt before, it felt right, but it was so wrong.

It’s wrong to kiss your best friend

It’s wrong to love every second of that kiss

And it’s wrong to fall helplessly in love with them when they love someone else

It hurt him, to see Jeonghan so happy with someone else other than him, to see the sparkle in his eyes

But every hour, every second, every minute spent together made up for all that. Every touch, every laugh, every smile and every kiss healed all the wounds caused by his unrequited love.

Was it really so wrong?
