GD POV

Big Bang had just arrived at the warehouse they were going to record in when their manager got a text message. 

“Alright so the crew is currently clearing out WINNERs music video stuff but the new girl group is recording their debut music video today on the other side. They’re almost done so it’s just a heads up.”He warned reading the message from his phone. 
“Oh?”Seungri asked,”Already? I knew he was thinking about debuting them but I didn’t think it would be this soon.”
“Yah, don’t bug them okay?”Daesung snickered jokingly,”They’re still trainees right now. You can bug them when they debut.”
“You know I’m not like that.”Seungri said.

They all ended up laughing while they got out and headed inside. On their half of the warehouse there was a lot of movement and hustling as everyone was getting ready for Big Bang’s set. But even over all that noise they could hear faint music playing in the background and the looked over to the other side. Obviously they couldn’t see too much but they saw there was a group of people on the side and they were watching a portion be recorded.

Curious, GD leaned over to Taeyang and asked,”You want to go take a look? I’m not going to lie, I’m curious.”
“Yeah, I know I am too.”Taeyang admitted,”Hyung’s never actually gone through with a girl group debut until now so that has to mean he really likes them.”

They headed over to the other side, trying to be as discreet as possible, and saw a girl was free style dancing while vocals were playing. 

“Oh she’s actually a pretty good dancer.”Taeyang noted,”But then a lot of the new trainees are.”
“Yeah,”GD nodded,”It’s so competitive now.”

They continued watching and she didn’t seem any different than most trainees. Were the girl group members not as amazing as they had imagined for YG to decide to debut them? But then the girl started lip syncing. 

“Her vocals sound pretty good,”Taeyang admitted.
“True but it is also a recording.”GD added.
“Then again YG hyung wouldn’t have debuted them if their voices have to be fixed in the studio.”Taeyang reminded.

The vocal portion ended and the PD asked the girl if she wanted to lip sync the rap portion or do it live.

“Oh,”Taeyang said,”She’s a rapper? I don’t know why I just assumed she was a vocal.”
She said she wanted to do it live and GD ears perked up,”Let’s see how good of a rapper she is.”

The music started and her face suddenly changed. (Oh?) When she was free styling and lip syncing, she seemed excited and aware but as the song continued her face hardened and she seemed to have copped an attitude. The rap started and charisma and attitude started to flow out like the lyrics in her rap. It was actually kind of impressive.

“Wow.”GD nodded in approval,”She’s actually a pretty good rapper.”
“I wonder what it would be like if she formed a sub-unit with CL.”Taeyang chuckled.
“Who knows,”GD snickered,”Knowing CL she would have to think very highly of this new girl before she even agrees to it.”

That’s when GD noticed the girl take a quick glance over and she seemed to have froze for a second but continued on.

“Oh, I think she saw us.”GD laughed, feeling a bit foolish hiding on the side of the warehouse.
“Yeah I noticed. I guess it does seem weird us just watching her.”Taeyang laughed.

The PD told her they would record again and they saw her take a breath and close her eyes. After a second she opened them and that charismatic face appeared again. She finished her verse perfectly.

“Hyung!”Seungri called from across the room. Taeyang and GD both looked at him.
“They’re almost done, we’re going to start soon!”He finished.
“Alright be there in a second!”GD yelled back. 
“Here we go again,”Taeyang sighed before saying in english,”Another day, another dollar.”
“Another day, another dollar.”GD repeated back before they laughed.

When he looked back over he noticed the girl looking over at them. He couldn’t help but smile at her to assure her she did good. He didn’t want to make her nervous. She smiled, obviously nervous and awkward, back and the crew started taking down the set. They cut between them and her and when they cleared she wasn’t there anymore. But he felt good, he didn’t scare her too much.

They had just finished the first part of their music video and were on a break sitting around a table for lunch.  Their manager came inside carrying food with some helpers following behind him. They placed trays all around the table and passed out the others.

“Today’s menu, sushi and sashimi!”Their manager announced,“We’ll be done before dinner so you’ll be good for whatever then.”

The boys opened their trays and everyone started eating as music continued playing in the background.

“So did you see them?"Seungri asked eating a piece of salmon.
"Who?"He asked.
"The new girl group?"Daesung reminded.
"Ah, no."GD reported as he swallowed some rice,"We saw one girl though. She was a vocal and rapper.”
“Was she any good?"Top wondered.
"Yeah actually."Taeyang nodded,"But that’s just one member so who knows if the whole team will be able to debut.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t write or produce anything for their album hyung."Seungri said,"I thought you would write at least one.”
“We’ve had a busy schedule on top of my own stuff."GD shrugged,"Besides Teddy hyung said they’re starting on the other songs tomorrow. The title song is the only finished and polished one.”
“Well we’ll find out how good they are when we start seeing them around the company.”Daesung reminded.
“Can’t wait to deal with the awkardness at the office for a while.”Seungri joked,”Whenever they see us.” 

The group laughed it off and continued to eat lunch. They finished recording the music video and headed to the company to collect their cars. Each member said their goodbyes and GD was the last one in the parking area. He had forgotten something in one of the recording studios and went inside to get it. After he found his lyric book, he opened to door, and started to head to the elevator when he heard music playing from another studio room down the hall. (Who is possibly up here still?) Normally there’s always at least 1 person producing late night but they normally gone by this time. Thinking it was Choice, Teddy, Kush, or  WINNER/iKON, GD decided to peak in but to his surprise it was a girl. He didn’t know who it was but he knew it wasn’t anyone from YG family. She was in the recording booth rapping to a high tempo song. (Is she a trainee?) But as he continued to listen he realized it was the girl from the mv recording earlier. He couldn’t help but continue listening and he had to hand it to her she was pretty good. But then she started to sing and her voice gove out and she started to cough. He saw her rub and drink some water but he couldn’t help but laugh when he heard her curse quietly to herself. And for some reason, he couldn’t stop looking at her as she started singing again. He listened until she finished and finally snapped out of it when she started to open the recording booth door. Quickly, he closed the door and headed to the elevator to leave, but he had to give it to her, that’s the type of behavior of sucessful people. To stay late and work hard, to go above and beyond. Thinking nothing of it, GD went home.

The next day GD was notified he was going to help Teddy, Kush, and Lydia work on the new girl groups album. So he headed diown to the company for another day of work. When he entered the recording studio he saw Teddy and Lydia with two other, girls from the long brown and black hair, nodding to a beat. 

“Oooo this is really good already!”Teddy said impressed,”Maybe you won’t need our help afterall.”
“For this track anyway,”Lydia said,”I’m still trying to get paid here.”

The door behind GD closed and the rest of the girl group, who were busy being excited and looking at articles about their debut on their phones, ssaw him and quickly stood up. As the bowed in greeting Teddy and the others turned to look at him. 

The two females GD didn’t know quickly bowed with the rest of the girl group and they quickly greeted,”Hello Sunbae-nim.”
“Hello, Sit.”GD laughed,”It’s okay.” 

He walked over next to Teddy when he realized who one of the girls sitting with Lydia was. It was the girl from last night. (Did she sleep at all?)  Despite slight bags under her eyes she seemed totally fine. 

“Did you hear some of the track we were just playing?”Teddy asked,”What do you think?”
“I didn’t catch much.”GD admitted,”Play it again.”

As they listened to the track GD had to agree, the track was pretty good.

“Ohhhhh. It’s pretty good.”He nodded.
“Right?!”Teddy exclaimed,”Hyorin here did this one.”

He looked over at her and she did a little bow with a smile of gratitude.

“Yeah if only you worked that hard on your vocals Hyorin-ah.”Lydia teased.
“What’s that suppose to mean?!”Hyorin gasped jokingly,”I’m a main vocal!”
“Maybe it was typo on your member profile.”Teddy added,”But you went with it so they did too.”
“Oh like you became an in-house producer?”She joked back,”You just never left after 1TYM so they let you stay.”
“Ohhhhhhh~!”Lydia and the brown haired girl giggled. 

GD was laughing along when he and Hyorin met eyes. She seemed surprised at first but smiled at him as she laughed a little more. At that moment, he knew they would get along just fine.
