GD had joined you all in the studio and everyone seemed to agree the first track you and Insook wrote and made together didn’t need any help, so all that was left for that track was the other members joining on the track. The members knew the lyrics already but you handed them sheets anyway so corrections could be made as needed, and handed the other producers the extras.

“So this song is about being the best?"GD asked as he read over the lyrics. He only heard the track once so he might have not got the the whole point of the song,"2ne1 already did a song like this though? Not to be rude.” But you totally understood, your group was YG and it would look like recycling if it was similar. But it wasn’t.
“No,"Insook replied,"Well yes but-” She looked at you for help.
“Yes it is but it’s also a song about being different."You explained,"This is a song about how we’re feeling as rookies, especially YG female group rookies. We’re the 3rd* girl group of YG in how many years but there hasn’t been one since 2ne1 debut in 2009. We know ourselves that we are different and will be the best, but we will prove it first on our own.”
“Ohhhh."Teddy chuckled,"Like a true leader.”
You could help but smile proudly and you called Bibi over,“You’ll be going first for this one. Just as I said, you have to be confident. You’re the youngest but you also beat all those other girls and unnies to get here, right?”

Bibi simply nodded, obviously still a little star stuck seeing GD and Teddy for the first time, and headed into the booth. The track started and Bibi’s portion came on. She sang fine and GD and Teddy nodded impressed, but you weren’t.

“Again."You said through the intercom.
"Again? That seemed really good for her first time."Lydia thought.
"Bibi, you need to be confident. I can hear your voice shaking. It may be slight but you know there’s going to be some people who will point that out. We want quality right?"You added. Bibi nodded and started to calm herself down.
"I know it sounds good,"You agreed, letting go of the intercom button and leaning back in your chair,"But not good enough. Like I said, we have to prove ourselves.”
“You can relax too you know,"GD said,"You sound stiff.” You tried not to notice him too much because just thinking Big Bang’s leader was in the room made you a bit nervous. 
“Yeh."You nodded.
"Yah, you’re nervous around him still huh?"Teddy snickered. You’ve worked with Teddy before on the title track so you were pretty comfortable with him already.
"Oh?"GD laughed and he looked at you and the group with a smile,"Yah, just get comfortable around me. You’re going to be working here might as well get used to it.”

You just nodded and turned your attention back to the recording booth. It was just awkward. Bibi did better this time around and you told her she was done.

“Jiyeon-ah,"Insook called,"It’s your turn.”

Jiyeon entered the booth and she took a breath.

“We kept your original rap in,"You added,"So I expect this to be a one time go.”
“Her original rap?"Lydia asked,"Do you write all the raps for your group or..?”
“Oh no,"Insook laughed a bit,"Hyorin thinks that they should both write their own raps, Jiyeon just…”
“Mmm,"You thought,"She just likes to use strong vocabulary that isn’t allowed.” Since you’re just debuting and all. 
“Ahhh."They chuckled.

The recording went smoothly and you listened to the final product. Satisfied, you sent the girls off to lunch while you stayed in the studio. You wanted to make sure the next track you started after lunch was up to the same level. Hearing your sunbae’s say the track was already good made you feel really good. This song, because a good album always have some good slow tracks as well, was about one sided love. But of course, instead of focusing on the pain of a one sidded love the song is about the girl getting over it because she knows it is what’s best for her. After laying down the harmony and beat you headed into the recording booth and started singing the lyrics. As any song you think of things that help you relate to the song so whoever listens could feel it as well so you started thinking about crushes and one sided loves in the past. And as much as you hate to admit it, you started thinking about Mino. Seeing him that day at the MV warehouse, something seemed different. He was a lot older since the last time you saw him and he just..seemed different. You tried to shake it off but instead the image changed. It was GDragon. You’ve seen his smile alot lately, you could probably make a mini photobook. You tried to shake him out of your head as well but his geniue smile kept playing in your head. As you shook your head his voice called out to you. (Oh great! Now I’m hearing things?!) You quieted your mind finally but his voice called out again.

"YAH!"He called through the intercom.

You shot your eyes open and looked out the window. He gave a small smile and lifted his arm. He had brought you lunch. Suddenly you felt a warm feeling wash over you and couldn’t help but smile back.

Two smiles and a piece of glass inbetween.

After you finally got to your senses you got out the booth and GD had already set the table with food. Surprised it wasn’t fast food, it was korean delivery.

"I knew you would skip lunch. That’s not good so I ordered lunch."He explained as you were about to ask.
"How did you kn-"You started.
"Because I do that."He admitted after he uncovered all the food,"So does Bi, Seungyoon, Taehyun, and Mino. When we’re on group albums or our solos we would rather work.” You didn’t know what to say.
GD looked up at you and snickered,“Yah hurry up and eat before everyone comes back. You’ll be the only one eating while we work on your album, do you want that?” Quickly you took your seat across from him and put a pair of chopsticks on your bowl. 
“Thank you."You said as you watched him start eating.
He looked up and you locked eyes before he looked away,"I know.”

You couldn’t help but smile, he felt awkward a bit too. You started eating and before you knew it you both were talking and joking around. You both finished right on time, laughing as you hid the evidence that GD got you lunch (you both didn’t want the other girls to feel left out) and the other girls came in.

“Oh,"Insook started,"Have you guys both been working through lunch?”
“Yeah,"You nodded,"I have the second track finished, ready to be listened to."As you sat at the control board Teddy walked in with an annoyed look on his face.
"Yah Jiyoung-ah,"He started,"She’s blowing up my phone again. Tell her to get lost will you?”

Through your perifial(sp) vision you saw GD take a quick glance in your direction and grab Teddy’s phone.

“I’ll handle it hyung, sorry for the trouble."He said as he got up,"You guys can start without me. I’ll be back.”

He left the room and you felt a little let down. (Yah. He’s just leaving. Snap out of it!) You were starting to get annoyed at yourself for the weird feelings you get around him. (It’s just nervousness. He’s a normal person, calm down.) You finally felt normal again and you all started working on the track. It was going well until GD entered the room and handed the phone to Teddy. You were between them and you noticed the phone was still ringing, just on silent.

And it hit you like a reality. Whatever feeling you had was pointless. And you knew it from the beginning. You don’t know why but it bothered you a bit so you stood up.

“Unnie?"Eunsoe asked, the first to notice.
"I’ll be right back."You said,"My phone is vibrating, it might be my mom. I’ll just be a second.”

As you turned you saw GD look at you confused and you just walked out the room. (I’m just tired is all. I haven’t slept in 24 hours. I need rest.) Walking down the hall you found an empty room and took a seat. (Maybe a power nap won’t kill me.) As you put your head down on your arms on a table, you were about to close your eyes when you heard the door open. (Sunbae?) When you looked up, it was Mino.

“Noona."He said worried,"Are you okay?”
You couldn’t help but just smile,“Now I am.” Mino always came at the right time or was there when you need him. 
He sat next to you and held your face and examined it,“Are you sick? I was coming out the elevator when I saw you quickly walk in here.”
“No,"You sighed pulling your face away,"I’m just tired. I haven’t slept in over a day.”
“Noona, I know you’re working on the album and that’s great and everything but you need to rest when you need to."He sighed irritated,"I bet you didn’t eat lunch either huh?”

(…)You just shook your head. He rolled his eyes, took off his jacket, rolled it in a pillow, and put it at the farthest end of the couch. You looked at him confused.

He looked at his watch,“I know you’re still working so 10 minutes. No more or no less.”
You couldn’t help but smile as you laid across,“Wah, Song Minho, you seem really cool right now.”
He looked at you and smirked,“I know.” And everything went black.

* YG actually had a girl group before 2ne1 named Swi.T and they didn’t work out so they disbanded. YG’s baby mama (no official status of married as far as I know) is actually a former member.
