Sooyoung’s POV

I’m now on my way home after my usual morning jog. I usually would wake up around 6 in the morning and would take some time to eat light snacks before starting my jog which is around 7.30. And I would only be done around 8.30 to 9 in the morning. So here I am, walking home with a bottle in my hand and music blasting in my ears.

I was 3 meters away from my house when I saw some of my neighbours gather in one place which is in a house next to mine. They were standing near the gate. Since I knew them so well, I decided to approach them to say hi. But before I could even do so, they saw me first and greeted me.

“Oh, it’s our Sooyoung!”

“Hello, Taeng” I smiled and bowed

There are 3 people there. And to name them well, they are Hyoyeon, Taeyeon and Yuri. We’re all literally friends here and knew each other so very well. After greeting Taeyeon, I turned to the other two and waved.

“Aigoo, our Sooyoung is trying to keep her body fit again” Hyoyeon spoke

“Yeah, Sica said I’m getting fat” I laughed

“How are you doing Sooyoung?” Yuri asked

“Kind of feeling like I’ll catch a cold soon but, nah.” I replied

Suddenly I felt my head was pushed forward. I turned and saw Taeyeon, giving me an unbelievable expression.

“What was that for!” I exclaimed

“Yah! You’re having a cold and you still go for a jog? Are you out of your mind?”

“Tch, I’m trying to keep my body fit here”

“If Sica knows you’re sick, she’s going to kill you”

“I’m not sick….yet”

Suddenly another woman came out from Taeyeon’s house. And it was Tiffany, Taeyeon’s wife. Tiffany was playing with her phone and didn’t realize I was there.

“Taebaby, breakfast’s read- oh hi Sooyoung!”

Tiffany finally looked up and waved at me, shooting her famous eye smile. She went next to Taeyeon and Taeyeon wrapped an arm around her wife’s waist. I waved back at her.

“What’s up Tiff?” I asked

“Nothing, just trying to tell Taeyeon that breakfast is ready” she smiled

“Can I join?” I joked

“Go ask your Sica to cook for you!” Taeyeon said

“You forgot that there’s a possibility that Jessica could burn their entire house once she start to lay a finger on the stove” Yuri laughed

“Yah! Don’t insult my wife!” I playfully punched her arm

“Where’s Jessica by the way?” Hyoyeon asked

“In the house. Probably be cooking” I said

Then the four of them looked at me with a shocked expression.

“She can cook now?!” Taeyeon exclaimed

“Duh, she’s getting better at it”

“Since when does Jessi knows how to cook?” Tiffany asked

“Ever since she got married to an amazing person. She said she wants to be a good wife and I can never argue with that” I proudly stated

Hyoyeon and Yuri did the puking gesture and I could only laugh at them.

“Why do you people gather out here anyway?” I asked them

“Oh..that” Hyoyeon spoke

I noticed how the three of them were looking at each other reluctantly. Taeyeon sighed before whispering.

“Have you heard about the news that’s been going on around here?” Taeyeon started

“What news?” I asked

“Apparently, there have been a number of murders going on around this neighbourhood over the last 2 weeks” Hyoyeon explained

“Murders?”

“Yeah. The police said there is this person that breaks into people’s houses between 3:15 to 3:45 am.” Yuri continued

“It’s kind of scary to think about it again” Taeyeon said

I kept mum. Seriously? Murders? Who in the world would do such things? To think about it again, it is pretty scary since this neighbourhood was actually a crime-free place. I should probably keep an eye on this one.

“How did you guys knew about this?” I asked

“People have been talking about it Soo.” Tiffany replied

“What does this person do after breaking into their house?”

“Kills them. But we don’t even know the reason why. The police said that this case was quite creepy and unexplainable. Since they can’t seem to find any traces left behind by the murderer” Tiffany continued

“We should all be aware from now on” Taeyeon said

“Don’t forget to tell Jessica about this, Soo. This is very important news” Hyoyeon told me

“Yeah I will, Hyo”

The five of us chatted a little bit more before bidding goodbyes and parting to our own ways. I walked to my house and wiped my shoes on the mat before entering. I slowly turn the knob open. I placed my shoe on the shoe rack and made my way to the kitchen. And there I saw my wife’s figure standing, back facing me while she’s cooking. I went close to her.

Jessica’s POV

I was in the kitchen cooking something for both Sooyoung and I. Sooyoung went for a jog early in the morning and here I am, preparing breakfast because I know how hungry she would be after her morning jog. Since Sooyoung is on a healthy food diet, I’ve decided that I should cook American breakfast today instead of the usual Korean dish. While I was cooking the bacon, I suddenly felt two arms were wrapped around me. I smiled knowing exactly who it is. My smile grew wider when I felt a kiss on the back of my head. I took out the bacon and placed in on the plate.

“Good morning wifey~”

“Hmm”

I turned around and circled my arms around her neck. Before I could say anything, she gave me a peck on the lips before charmingly smiled at me. I pinched her nose in return.

“You stink”

“I’ll take a shower later”

“You took quite a long jog today” I pouted

“Nah, I finished right on time actually”

“Then what took you so long to come home?”

“I was outside with the others few moments ago. We chatted for a while. Yuri and Hyoyeon were there too”

“Then why didn’t you call me out?” I asked

“And let you leave all these food to cook all by themselves? Probably not” She laughed

I playfully slapped her arm. I scrunched my nose before wrapping back my arms around her neck. She tightened the hug around my waist and pecked my nose. We stared at each other for a moment when her grumbling sto
