Jessica’s POV
Detective Sooyoung and Jessica also known as Sooyoung and I, were called because there was a person who got killed at Bubble Café. We were told to investigate the matter and we immediately went to the crime scene.
“Detective Jung”
One of the police officer bowed to me as soon as they saw Sooyoung and I entered the café.
“Officer” I bowed back
“Detective we have a-”
“HE’S NOT GREETING ME?!”
Sooyoung whispered in my ears, but to her dumb reality, it was loud enough for the whole café to hear.
“Sooyoung, don’t be stupid” I slapped her hand
“Hey, I’m a well known detective too”
I sighed. The officer was already shaking due to Sooyoung ‘almost’ whisper earlier. He knew that Sooyoung could be different at times.
Stupidly different
I faced the poor officer and gave him a sign using my brows. Slightly shaking my head to Sooyoung’s direction to do as what Sooyoung needs him to do. Sooyoung still stood there, waiting to be greeted.
“D-detective Choi” The officer bowed
“Yes hello!”
Sooyoung greeted cheerfully and walked past them, earning another sigh from me and a chuckle from the officer.
“I’m sorry, she’s immature” I apologized to the officer
“It’s okay Ms.Jung”
“So, what seems to be the problem here?”
I asked as I trailed behind Sooyoung not too long after. In the middle of the café, lies a dead man on the floor, blood was all over the floor as the person lied against his chest. Some of the other officers were currently taking pictures as for evidence and some were taking his DNA. And there’s Sooyou-
“SOOYOUNG WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
Sooyoung was poking the dead man’s tummy, laughing at how his fats trembled and how funny it looked like, loosely hanging out from his belt. For god sake.
“It’s soft!” Sooyoung giggled
“Sooyoung, God”
I pulled her away from the man and let her stand beside me before she could do anything reckless. Yes, even though she’s a detective, she’s quite dumber than you think. I’m surprised at how she even passed as a law student and even graduated from college.
“Focus”
“Tsk”
I walked away from her and went to talk with the previous officer after I told Sooyoung to find some evidence with the others. I heard Sooyoung grunted before rolling her eyes at me.
“What actually happened?” I asked
“He was stabbed on below his rib after trying to protect someone from getting robbed” the officer responded
“Hmm, well he’s-”
Suddenly we heard a scream came from my left side, serious issue you said? It was just Sooyoung’s loud voice
“I FOUND 100 DOLLARS”
God, please, PLEASE give me strength
“Sooyoung-”
“Detective Choi” she corrected me
“Sooyoung” I repeated “Put that down. That’s not yours”
“I found it! Technically, it’s mine now” she complained
Sweet lord she’s acting like a little kid. She’s a goddamn detective for god sake yet here she is, roaming around, spot some money which obviously doesn’t belong to her, poked a dead man’s body and complaining all day.
“Sooyoung, please be serious. We’re investigating a case here”
“I found it, it’s mine”
Yeah, heck all she changed was her face. I asked her to BE serious, and she GAVE me a serious FACE. Only the FACE
“I think you should check on the rest, Detective Jung”
The officer told me as he pointed at the dead man, who is still lying on the floor. The officer showed me some stuff that he found near the man and some shoe traces that was left by the robber, whom I was told ran as soon as he stabbed the poor guy to avoid getting jailed. Luckily, one of the waitress’ spilled coffee on the floor when the robber accidently bumped onto the waitress which allows us to identify what kind of shoes the robber was wearing, considering that the coffee is all dried up now. I nodded my head in
