No One’s POV

“I don’t want to do this”

Sooyoung muttered as she fidgeted her fingers before silently sighing at the back seat. She had been nervous ever since they entered the car and couldn’t help but bit her lower lip every now and then. There were two other girls in the car and they are Jessica, Sooyoung’s girlfriend, and her girlfriend’s bestfriend, Tiffany who’s responsible for driving the car. They are now currently on their way to the dentist to get Sooyoung’s wisdom teeth pull out. And Sooyoung, who hates going to the dentist, is seriously not liking this.

“Babe, you have to”

Jessica, who is sitting at the passenger seat turned back to face her lover. Sooyoung pouted as a respond.

“You’ve been complaining about it for a few months now. So we should get it out” Jessica said

“But what if it hurts…”

“You won’t feel it, Sooyoung. They’ll give you this some kind of laughing gas crap or anesthesia or something so patients won’t be able to feel anything” Tiffany told her

“You mean like, drugs?” Sooyoung asked

“If you could put it that way”

Sooyoung sighed and nodded. Maybe that wouldn’t be so bad, she thought. As long as she can’t feel the pain, it’ll be good enough. Jessica gave her an encouraging smile and went back to her previous position.

“And why are you here again?” Jessica questioned her best friend

“Because you’ll need my help, dear best friend. Trust me”

“Don’t you have a life?”

“Don’t be ing rude” Tiffany snorted while changing the gear

“As far as I’m concerned, I can survive without your help”

“Listen , I know how this crap works. When the drug kicks in, she’s going to be all chatty and so you’ll have to deal with that side of her. I’m doing you a great favor here by being your driver so don’t question my kind offer”

“You’re lucky you’re my friend you ” Jessica rolled her eyes

“What? What happened to my ‘best friend’ description tag??”

“It won’t be available for the moment because I’m still pissed that you ATE MY ING ICE CREAM” Jessica exclaimed

“WE’RE  ING RICH YOU DIRTBALL WE’LL GO GET ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR ICE CREAM AFTER THIS” Tiffany snapped back

“Can you guys shut up?”

Sooyoung said and slightly kicked the seat in front of her which immediately caused the two Americans to shut their mouth. Jessica stuck her tongue out at Tiffany and faced her lover.

“Sorry love. Too caught up”

“It’s okay babe” Sooyoung smiled

After a few minutes of driving, they finally arrived at the clinic and Tiffany slowly parked the car near the entrance. When they entered the clinic, Jessica went to the counter to fill out some forms for Sooyoung since Sooyoung is really nervous to be doing so. Sooyoung and Tiffany went to take a seat while waiting for Jessica to finish. A few moments later, Jessica came and sat next to Sooyoung.

“How are you feeling?” Jessica asked as she squeezed Sooyoung’s hand

“Like I’m going to die” Sooyoung answered

“Sooyoung, they’re just going to pull out some teeth”

“What if, some of the teeth’s veins are connected to the brain? I’ll die Jessica. I’ll die”

“Sooyoung, snap out of it. You sounded lunatic right now”

“That’s very uplifting Jess” Tiffany sarcastically said

“Yeah, go to hell”

Sooyoung took her lovers hand and grab onto it tightly. Like her life depends on it. She won’t stop tapping her foot on the cold hard floor and was breathing uncontrollably. She sealed her lips tight and prayed to every God she knows to give her another chance to live. Begging for forgiveness for every of her wrong doings. Suddenly, a door in front of them opens with a lady holding some pieces of papers.

“Choi Sooyoung?” the lady called

“That’s me” Sooyoung raised her arm

“Everything has been prepared. Come on in” the lady smiled

Sooyoung nodded and stood up. Before making her way to the surgery room, Sooyoung took one last glance at Jessica and sighed. She shut both of her eyes and took a deep breath before letting it out.

“You’re not going to die” Jessica giggled

“….okay. I can do this” Sooyoung puffed out some air from

“You’ll be fine baby. You won’t feel a thing. I’ll wait for you here and meet you later in the recovery room okay?”

“Okay..”

Jessica pecked her lover’s lips and patted her , indicating for her to enter the room. Sooyoung smiled and lifelessly made her way to the operatory for her wisdom teeth removal.

After two hours, the dentist finally called out for Jessica and Tiffany, telling them that the removal was a success without Sooyoung moving around or freaking out. When they entered the recovery room, Jessica saw her lover sitting on the dental chair with some gauze in . Sooyoung’s cheeks were swollen before of the surgery and her eyes looks rather sleepy but she’s physically energetic. Sooyoung is currently talking to one of the doctor which is actually quite unusual for her. And Jessica knows that this might be the effect from the shot the doctor gave Sooyoung.

“Hey there..” Jessica went next to Sooyoung

“Ish ma gurfrwen! (it’s my girlfriend!)”

 Sooyoung said because she was still biting the gauze to prevent more bloods from coming out.

“How are you feeling baby?” Jessica caressed her hair

“I’m a baby..? I thought I’m Choi Sooyoung..” Sooyoung went teary

“W-wait..why are you crying?” Jessica asked

“Patient usually would respond to anesthesia in 1 to 3 ways. Crying over everything, being super chatty and loopy, also tired and mostly asleep” the doctor told Jessica and smiled

“Good luck Jess” Tiffany laughed

Jessica shot her best friend a glare.

“I’m a little baby…? This is all a dream…? I’m trapped in an adult’s body??”

“No, sweetie. It’s not that” Jessica told her

“Sweetie…? But I’m tasteless! Am I sweet? Have you ever tasted me before?”

“Oh…. Damn sure she did” Tiffany grinned and laughed

Jessica pushed Tiffany’s head telling her to shut up. The doctor just laughed and Jessica’s face went red because of the embarrassment. She paid her attention back to Sooyoung and saw that her lover was weeping.

“What wrong Soo?”

“My hair..”

“You have a beautiful hair..”
