No One’s POV

 

 

Sooyoung was sitting in front of her laptop when Jessica entered the bedroom with a towel in her hand. Jessica has just done her shower was drying up her hair with a hairdryer while sitting in front of the mirror. Sooyoung just stared at her lovingly. Jessica noticed that Sooyoung was staring at her through the reflection of the mirror. Jessica smiled at her and continued drying her hair. Sooyoung brought her attention back to the laptop. Jessica suddenly saw Sooyoung chuckled in the back through the mirror’s reflection and that made her turn off the hair dryer.

 

 

“What are you doing?”

“Hmm?” Sooyoung looked up

“I said, what are you doing” Jessica asked

“Oh, nothing” Sooyoung chuckled again

 

 

Jessica furrowed her eyebrows and stared at Sooyoung weirdly.

 

 

“Are you watching ?”

“What? Sica, do you really think that somebody would smile while watching ?”

“Uhm, yes?”

“You’re silly” Sooyoung giggled

“Well, you were chuckling” Jessica said

“Is it wrong for me to chuckle?”

“I don’t know. Is somebody flirting with you?” Jessica eyed her suspiciously

“Why? What would you do if I say yes?” Sooyoung challenged

“Choi Sooyoung.”

 

 

Sooyoung giggled at her girlfriend’s jealousy behavior. She patted the space next to her, indicating that she wants Jessica to sit next to her. But Jessica showed her the hair dryer saying that she still needs to dry her hair. Sooyoung smiled and nodded.

 

 

“So?” Jessica started

“What?”

“Aren’t you going to tell me?”

“Tell you what?” Sooyoung pretended not to know

“Choi Sooyoung”

“Yes baby?”

“Tch”

 

 

Jessica sulked and turned around to face the mirror again. Jessica ignored Sooyoung’s giggle at the back when she called her name. Jessica the hair dryer once again to the max, totally ignoring the tall one.

 

 

“Sica”

 

 

Sooyoung called. But the hair dryer is too loud for Jessica to hear. Or maybe she saw that Sooyoung was calling, but choose not to listen.

 

 

“Jessica”

“….”

“Sicababy?”

“….”

“Baby?”

“….”

“Babe”

 

 

Sooyoung lost her patience and stood up, walking towards Jessica. She then slightly pushed Jessica’s head forward using her index finger, and that made her stopped whatever she’s doing and faced her lover.

 

 

“Yah!” Jessica yelled

“What?” Sooyoung smiled

"...."

“Are you mad at me?”

“….”

“Oi”

“No”

“Are you jealous?”

“…no”

“That took you 30 seconds to answer. So you were jealous?”

“No”

“Okay then. Let me just go and flirt again” Sooyoung cheekily smiled

“Yah Choi Sooyoung! Don’t you dare!”

 

 

Jessica grabbed her wrist when Sooyoung was about to walk away. Jessica wrapped her arms around Sooyoung’s waist and pressed her head against the latter’s back. Sooyoung smiled at those gestures

 

 

“You’re not allowed to flirt with anybody, nor anybody is allowed to flirt with you. You are mine, do you hear me?” Jessica demanded

“….”

“Yah Choi Sooyoung, do you hear me, I said?”

 

 

Jessica whined and shook the latter’s body. That made Sooyoung chuckle and turned her body around so she could face her girlfriend. Sooyoung smiled as she kissed Jessica’s forehead with her waist still got wrapped tightly by her girlfriend’s arms. Jessica looked up at Sooyoung and pouted.

 

 

“Yes, princess. I heard you well.” Sooyoung smiled

“Then?”

“Then what?”

“What were you doing back there?”

“Editing some ugly pictures of you” Sooyoung teased

“Tch”

“Kidding. Just doing some research about ducks”

“Ducks?”

 

 

Jessica tilted her head and looked at Sooyoung confusingly. Sooyoung just nod her head in response.

 

 

“Why ducks?”

“Suddenly I’m interested in ducks”

“Why?”

“I don’t know. Come”

 

 

Sooyoung pulled Jessica up and dragged her to the bed where her laptop was placed. Sooyoung palced her laptop on her lap and Jessica sat right next to her at the edge of the bed.  Sooyoung then pointed at the laptop screen.

 

 

“I think ducks are cute” Sooyoung smiled while staring at her laptop

“Since when did this happened?”

“What?”

“All of these. You liking ducks”

“I don’t even know babe. It just, struck me like lightning and bam! I have a huge love for ducks”

“So you love ducks more than me?” Jessica stared at her

“I….”

 

 

Jessica looked at Sooyoung in disbelief

 

 

“Seriously Youngie? You’re seriously hesitating?”

“Well, I….”

“You..?”

“Love…you?”

“Now why does that sound like a question?” Jessica eyed her

“Aish, you’re making it hard for me!”

 

 

Sooyoung crossed her arms right above her chest and pouted. And it was cute for Jessica’s view.

 

 

“Fine, fine. You love ducks and me equally” Jessica pinched her cheeks

“….”

“Babe..”

“Hmm?” Sooyoung faced her

“Your birthday’s coming”

 

 

Jessica slide her arms down and clasped their hand together. Intertwining their fingers together, with Jessica caressing her thumb on the top of Sooyoung’s hand. Sooyoung smiled

 

 

“I know..”

“What do you want for your upcoming birthday?” Jessica looked at her

“Nothing. Having you here is enough for me”

 

 

And Jessica swear that those words almost made her fly. Sooyoung never failed to surprise her with those heart fluttering words. Jessica leaned in to capture those sweet lips…

 

 

 

“Look! Duck videos!”

 

 

 

And….she ruined the moment. Jessica thought

 

 

 

“Tch, I wanted to kiss you” Jessica pouted

“Save it for later babe”

“You’re so weird”

“Liking ducks are normal. I think they’re cute”

“Wow, you sure do a lot of research about ducks”

“Uh huh. Do you know that a baby duck is called a duckling?” Sooyoung asked

“Babe, everybody knows that” Jessica giggled

“Well, do you know that an adult male duck is a drake?”

“Drake?”

 

 

Sooyoung and Jessica stared at each other for a moment.

 

 

 

“You used to call me on my cellphone~”

 

 

 

They both said in unison before laughing at their own jokes.

 

 

“Silly” Jessica told her

“But did you know that?”

“No.. absolutely not”

“Aww, too bad. You must be stupid then”

“Yah!”

“I’m kidding! Geez”

 

 

Jessica showed her fist to Sooyoung. But Sooyoung took her hand and kissed it instead.

 

 

“Sweet” Jessica said

“Always am” Sooyoung stuck out her tongue

“Pft. So, what more do you know about ducks?”

“Well, they have their own favorite snacks”

“Oh, they do?”

“Uh huh. Do you know what their favorite snack is?”

“What?”

 

 

 

 

 

“Quackers”

 

 

Jessica stared at Sooyoung for 3 whole minutes before breaking the silence.

 

 

“Was that supposed to be a pun”

“God, I’m so hilarious” Sooyoung laughed. Finally

“Why do I have such a crazy girlfriend”

“Heh”

“….”

“Oi Jung” Sooyoung called

“What?” Jessica looked up

“Quackidy quack quack”

 

 

Jessica furrowed her brows

 

 

“What the hell?”

“That baby, is a duck language”

“Oh, so you’re a freaking duck now?”

“You can say that” Sooyoung shrugged

“Now what does that mean?”

“It means I love you, Jessica Jung”

 

 

Jessica smiled and pinched the latter’s nose.

 

 

“But I didn’t hear my name being mentioned.” Jessica said

“It’s a part of the ‘quack’ word"             

“Quackie?”

“No!!!”

 

 

Suddenly Sooyoung yelled and Jessica got confused

 

 

“Why? What did I said?”

“You said ‘quackie’” Sooyoung whispered

“So? What does that mean?”

“It means I hate ducks…” Sooyoung scrunched her face

“You sound stupid now Youngie”

 

 

In the middle of their bickering, suddenly someone entered their bedroom. It was Taeyeon.

 

 

“Guys, have you seen my bracelet?”

“No”

“Quacko” Sooyoung answered

“What the hell?”

 

 

Taeyeon stared at Jessica who is sitting beside Sooyoung. Jessica just sighed.
