Finally Found YouA/N: THOUGHTS ARE IN ITALICS! Font in purple is spoken in English.
Jennifer POV
“Jelly bean, you sure you want to do this without aunty’s knowledge?”
“Jamie, mom knows I will be going to Asia to finish my degree…”
“But she thinks you are going to China, not Korea.” Andy replied.
“If she knew, I would be locked in the basement Andy” I reasoned
“Jennifer Murray, you will be the death of us” Jamie sighed.
“Screw aunty, I wanna lock you up” Andy hugged once me carried her handbag from his hold. “You sure about this?”
Andy and Jamie Murray are my cousins. Jamie is 29 years old while Andy is 28 years. I am Jennifer Maria Murray, a 20-year-old undergraduate who is about to leave to Korea to complete my degree.
“If you are scared about me living in an alien place, have no worries. Max is coming to Korea.”
Max, a.k.a. Shim Changmin, is my mother’s friend’s son. He is the only man my two cousins allow me to hang out with. Changmin happens to be the Vice President of the one of the biggest Korean companies.
I have the world’s craziest crush on him.
“I know that lady. If it wasn’t for him, I would never let you go.”
“Just a couple of months Andy. I want to complete my degree there.”
“Don’t fall in love with a Korean guy. Heard that they look more girlish than manly…” Jamie pulled me to a hug.
“Like I’ll meet a guy more handsome than Max” I countered
“He’s Korean missy. I can’t bear to live without you around”
“He’s smoking hot Jamie”
“Hopefully he can handle your crazy hormones.” I nudged Jamie.
The airport loudspeaker called for the passengers to board the plane. After one last long bone-crushing hug with them, I headed to the plane.
It was a long flight that lasted over 20 hours. Since Max wasn’t in the country, I had no other option but to stay at a hotel. Since I can’t keep living in the hotel and I hate hostels, I decided to search for a house to rent it out. I had an eye on one house. Though I wasn’t sure whether there are any rooms available, hell I didn’t know whether if they give rooms in rent, I wanted to try my luck. I didn’t have the address, but I remembered the road because I passed the house last night on the way to the hotel.
The gate creaked when I opened it. Walking into the small garden I headed to the doorstep. I stopped to look at the rooftop. My lips broke into a smile. I snapped back once I heard an elder clear his throat.
“Annyengahseyo Ajushi.” I bowed.
He stared at me, his grey brows caressed. I saw his hand clench the door frame. Shoot! I disturbed him. I might get whipped from his cane! Run Jenni, run!
“I- I am sorry to disturb you, sir. I’ll come back later.” Bowing again I turned to leave
“Ajashi, wait.” He hoarse morning voice nearly cracked. I turned. “Why did you come here?”
Clearing my throat, I explained “I am a transfer student to the University. I was searching for a place to live since I’m not a big fan of hostels. So I was thinking, you know, whether you have a room that I can rent out.”
He kept on staring at him. I suddenly felt self-conscious. Though his continuous staring, then that smile that broke from the corner of his lips, made me feel suspicious. What have I got into? Why didn’t I wait until Max comes to Korea?!
“I think I have the perfect room for you.” He smiled.
“That’s it? You won’t ask anything else about me? I might be some creep!” Why do it get the feeling that y
