Jennifer POV

Oh Please not him! Is this er the class rep or something?

“You will be marked absent as you are 20 minutes late.”

“I had to meet the counselor since I’m new. There were some papers to be sorted out.” I turned to him but turned to stone looking at him in suit.

I immediately turned to the students to verify whether the boys had to wear formal. Nope, casual. So he wears formal meaning

“You are a lecturer?”

“I am your mentor”

Oh goodie, the first Korean jerk I encountered is now my mentor.

Darn that poker face! He is hot. Ajushi, you did one good job with him. What the hell am I thinking?

I nodded, making sure to not meet his eyes, though I felt him burn holes in me. I opened my mouth to talk but closed instantly. I looked at his feet shift. Gradually meeting his questioning eyes, I cleared my throat. Gotta explain

“Good morning stranger s-s-sir. I am Jennifer, I transferred here from England. I’m sorry for barging in without permission. I did not see you and never expected you to be a lecturer”

“So you’re that transfer student.” Standing straight, he hit the roll of paper on his left hand. “Find a place to sit. Don’t be too far away for it’s hard to listen to the lecturer clearly.” Nodding I turned to the class.

A guy was winking at me towards my left. I looked straight ahead, there was a bunch of plastics. Rolling my eyes, I headed to the place I wanted to sit, next to the quiet boy.  He sat on the middle, the perfect position to look at the lecturer. Smiling at him, I sat next to him. My eyes met statue’s, who almost smiled at me. Almost.

“Will it kill him to smile?”

“If he does, these idiotic girls might think he is in love with them.”

“No wonder, look at him. I thought he came out of a billboard the first time I saw him. Too pretty to be a man.”

“Girls like guys like him.”

“Not all.” I turned to him.

He had black eyes, nearly covered by his eye bags. He has sharp facial features and looks totally badass, yet cute.

“One week, you’ll join those idiots over there.”

“Don’t-”

“Shut up. Gotta focus on what he says.”

Ok nerd. I’m just going to focus on whatever he says, something that is totally unnecessary for me getting my degree.

Turning back to the mentor I listened attentively, though I couldn’t help but look at the girls who were admiring him like he is some Greek God. Looks can be deceiving girls. Try meeting him late at night when he tries to chase you out of your rented room.

“Since it’s your final year, you guys better have your project ideas ready, else I will have to see you again next year.”

I sighed a laugh.

“Study hard. I won’t be having this session every other week as stated in the time table unless I have something to discuss. In case you have any issues, come meet me at the staff room.”

Once the mentor left, everyone started to talk. I fished out my phone from my bag to play candy crush.

“So, you are doing programming?” He asked

“Yep”

“Me too”

“I figured that out”

I got back to playing my game.

“For how long are you going to be sitting here?”

“For as long as I like” I replied

“Why?”

I turned to him stare at his notebook.

“Why can’t I sit beside you?”

He sighed hard “I am a transfer student. They tease me”

“I’m a transfer too. I won’t let them tease me” Grabbing my timetable from the book, I scooted close to him. “Here, this is my timetable. Can we compare yours with mine? We can sit together always then”

“But they’ll bully you too”

“Well, I’ll kick their butts. I know a little fighting. I have two brothers.”

“I know kung fu” He smiled.

“And you didn’t kick them away?”
